Ronan stood behind the worn wooden bar, marked up by one to many parties of the past. A pounding baseline played in the background as people began to make their way into the basement of the house. He was wearing a snug white t-shirt with a forest green flannel stolen from his roommate's closet. With a devilish grin he slapped his palms on the counter as a body approached the bar. “Alright, I’m playing bartender tonight. We have a lot of beer and a small variety of cocktails to choose from. Please keep in mind I am merely a man and I’m mainly working with vodka, orange juice, and grenadine. All tips will go to future fiestas.”

Maya: i feel like i'm getting some hints
Maya: maybe i'll take you up on your suggection
Ronan: i'm just giving you an unbiased opinion on what we what to see at this party tonight
Ronan: do with it what you will
Text; Ronan
Lacey: I meant baby goats, is it not common knowledge that they're referred to as kids??
Ronan: well I think it was pretty understandable mix up that I thought you were talking about humans
Text; Ronan x Elise
Elise: i'm a big fan of the picture choice
Elise: at this rate i think me and half the campus will be wearing dave's clothes
Ronan: we did our best to represent the spirit of the party
Ronan: I'm sure the ladies will be pleased if he has to go shirtless to his own flannel party because he couldn't say no to anyone who asked to borrow one
Text; Lacey
Lacey: Is Dave going to be holding kids on his back?
Lacey: Because if he isn't I probably won't come
Ronan: trust me you would be concerned if there were kids attending this party
Ronan: that would only happen if he was evacuating some kids who stumbled in through our back porch
Text [daphne]
daphne: but what if i don't OWN a goddamn flannel?
daphne: what is this? 1996? will the Backstreet Boys be there too?
daphne: this is discrimination in the first degree
ronan: this is the new age of the brawney men
ronan: this is new england i'm confident you can raid any girl's closet around here and 90% of the time you will at least find a plaid item.
ronan: I believe in you
Text [the spare]
Ronan: it's too cold to just wear a flannel
Ronan: but if i wear a flannel and a thermal i'll be too warm
Ronan: do you see my problem?
Ronan: looks like you'll just have to suffer either way
Ronan: flannel is your only ticket in my friend
Text; Lacey
Lacey: I do not own any flannels, its definitely not my style. If a plaid skirt works then I'm down.
Ronan: plaid is close enough
Ronan: we're going for a theme here but no one is checking fabrics
Text; Ronan x Elise
Elise: i thought it was pete who made the poster?
Elise: where does one get last minute flannel
Ronan: how am I suppose to know I was just part of the proofing team
Ronan: raid dave's closet
Text @ Ron and Uval
Maya: that little winky pick up whatever the fuck would work a lot better if it wasn't snowing outside
Maya: but 10/10 for effort
Ronan: well that's what the flannel is for
Ronan: keeping you warm no matter how little you are wearing
Text @ Ron and Uval
Maya: i wish i could say i looked at it
Maya: but sounds good! how much flannel do i need?
Ronan: if you need a number one article of flannel should suffice
Ronan: but really however much or little you want ;)

“It’s not stealing. I’m sure you’re familiar with the old song and dance– finders keepers, losers weepers? It’s basically as binding as a pinkie promise in situations such as these.” She scooped the dog up, and he squirmed in her arms before settling. “Go start a fire in your yard or something and I’ll sneak him upstairs.” Ava’s tone was definite, her mind was made up and she was already making her way to the house the boys shared.
“Yeah, that song was almost definitely written by thieves, babe.” He eyed the dog with amusement as she cuddled it into submission. “Can I just text ‘fire in the front yard’, which will inevitably lead to Dave bursting through the front door, and then yelling at me for some extended period of time once he realizes there is no fire. That should be enough of a diversion for your little scheme without the risk of me burning down our humble abode.”

Ronan: yes you should wear flannel...to our flannel party
Ronan: literally its the only thing you need to get in
Ronan: did you even read the flyer? we, and by we I mean dave, put a lot of work into that thing
The Brawny Man party is an infamous event by Bridgemont standards, the exact details are hazy at best, a Molotov cocktail of plaid, bicep jokes and reckless drinking. Hosted in the Brawny Man Den, last year’s party was a raging success as it was deeply regretted by many on campus. Deemed a ‘never again, over my dead body’ situation by Brawniest of Men David Laney, the new year brought a renewed hope, and the party is, for as far as we can tell, back on. Dig out your finest checkered duds and start pre-gaming folks, it’s gonna be one hell of a ride.
WHO: all of campus if they’ve seen peter’s shitty flier, as long as they show up in some form of flannel
WHAT: second annual brawny man party
WHERE: that old nightmare on elm street, the brawny man home
WHEN (OOC): monday dec 12 @5PM EST to wednesday dec 14 at 12AM
WHY: because we’re young hung and clearly march to the sound of our own drum
do the curtains match the drapes
“You know they do.”
