I found this video very funny but some comments on Twitter and Youtube were ridiculous and prejudicial.

A lot of people just assumed the lady in the video to be the children’s nanny but she is actually their mom. (You can hear the older one saying “Omma wae?”, which means “Why Mommy?”). I’m not blaming anyone for not understanding the language. Of course no one would understand what the girl in the video is actually saying without knowing any Korean. But the thing that bothered me was how easily those people were making ridiculous assumptions just by looking at one thing. Mrs. Kelly’s (the lady in the video)race.

Based on what I’ve read, many people who made such comments on this video thought so just because she is an Asian. When someone replies with a comment stating that she is his wife, they were busy arguing back saying, “well how are you so sure that she IS his wife?”. Well guess what? We are telling you so because we know better and we are very sure. Also, we are just trying to help you not making anymore of your ridiculous comments so you wouldn’t embarrass yourself anymore in front of the whole world.

I just wish people would stop making weird assumptions about others. Just mind your own business please.
