The enemy knew he could never defeat love, so he started trying to redefine it instead.
That’s deep.
Archive | Self-portrait: ’Butterfly’ (2014) -
I made a promise to myself last year that once I completed my degrees last May, I would head back to Nigeria and stay the longest I ever have stayed since leaving nearly 18 years ago. I’m happy to share with you all that I just concluded a nearly 5-month trip back Home in Nigeria. The most fond moment yet, is getting to spend my birthday here for the first time since 1999 along with plenty other wonderful memories. My birthday fell on my literal birth day: Wednesday, Nov 8th.
I am reminded of this self-portrait and my commitment to transition(s) and transformation. Especially, how it pours into and guides my work. I am grateful to have mindfully and intently achieved my current mindscape, and I look forward to unfolding, accordingly. Well. New year and works to share. And, of course some great news!!!!!! So I want to say: thank you to those who looked for me, and those who are SO patient with me (and my process).
physically im here but mentally im out in the jungle naked with my fists full of wild geckos
