as long as you believe maleness and masculinity are inherently evil, abusive, and Oppressive, you are not an ally to any trans people except ones that are feminine enough for you. you are not an ally to bigender people, amab nonbinary people, or transmasculine people. you aren't even an ally to butch trans women, because as soon as a trans woman steps out of line, you bring up her "male upbringing". as long as you can draw a line between your Unruly Trans Person and Maleness, you win! Because, don't you know, maleness makes you evil?

you are unable to see past your elementary understanding of why cis men have so much power over us and you will always, always, hurt queer people more than you'll ever deconstruct the patriarchy and male privilege in your spaces.

And it leaves no place for nonbinary people to be nonbinary.

And it leads to forcing all of us into a vague undefined concept of "male-aligned/female-aligned."

And to "YES, trans men too! It's transphobic of you to suggest that [some gross generalization about gender and privilege] doesn't apply to trans men, because that's like saying trans men aren't men!" (Aka The Worst Attempt at Allyship Ever)

Anyone who wants to tell you that your assigned gender dictates how you are socialized is someone who doesn't understand how socialization works.

It's not a factory and human beings are not widgets. You do not get 'pressed' into a shape. People do not start out life as blank slates and we do not get programmed.

All people have an internal subjective experience: identity. You exist and you're real and who you are inside shapes how you see the world around you and how you take in the lessons that you're taught.

Trans people don't get socialized as their assigned gender. We get exposed to socialization that only recognizes cis people and we interpret it and come to understand it differently than cis people. People who don't acknowledge that socialization is as much about the internal subjective experience of the individual don't understand how socialization works.

Don't forget that biological essentialists, radfems, TERFs, and all kinds of other bigots are essentially ignorant jackasses who either can't or refuse to see how complex the world is. They invent simplistic stories about how people are and then assume that they're right to do so.

No, they're not right. They're just asshats who would have flunked out of psych 101. And sociology 101. And anthropology 101. And ethics 101...and logic...101...and...
