YES!! I'd definitely like to draw her more :) Along with the other Honda family members ive made up... I just have my crazy Civic fixation so all my thoughts just kind of trail back to her hehe.. But im really tickled you like her!!

I've definitely grown more fond of them after making them in tomo life.. so here's a few pictures of the honda family + akko nd mitsu (trainer)

I still occasionally just think about Honda Civic and have a bit of a chuckle. Such a silly name for an Uma, and a wonderful design to go with it. Thank you for brightening my days, even when I'm not actively on Tumblr.

Can you give a tutorial on drawing stylized heads like you do?

Oh sure! I feel like i've talked about it a bit but the secret sauce is really just choosing a shape that feels like it matches who you're drawing's personality and seeing how far you can push that shape into as many elements as possible

here's my example with civic and tachyon.

but i've also done this with loki and magnai LOL it helps knowing shape language as well ie triangles tend to signify danger and sharpness where as rounded shapes can communicate innocence and softness. You can totally mix and match shapes too

some more examples! you can also consider straights vs curves and pushing those more than you would otherwise think to (if a line is straight make it REALLY straight, and push a curved line hard) and this will create more dynamic shapes in your art!!

at least that's how i think about it. especially for characters i plan on drawing more than once, bc not only does it give them visual identity i find it makes it way easier to draw them more consistently as well!!

Fun fact of the day: Before modern medicine understood the biology of umamusume, caring for and treating injured or sick musume was such a difficult, time-consuming process that many were simply euthanized instead, both to spare them further suffering and to avoid the burden of maintaining them until they recovered.
