-she is described as i said above; beautiful, soft, and kinda feminine. ALSO she doesnt have extremely high cheek and bones and hard jawline so again, thats that. i dont like when people try to force other characters into their expectation, no she is not fat, no she is not this masculine charactar, the book describes her as she is- so why make her apear like something she is not?. by the way im not trying to attack you im just beung genuine.

Im sorry but I missed the part where I portrayed Jude as fat or implied that she was? I am not making her appear as something she isn’t, that’s exactly what I was writing against. The Jude I drew was beautiful, feminine, and STRONG. That’s who Jude is. She doesn’t bend over backward for anybody and she definitley isn’t -soft-. Jude is fierce and I feel like my art portrayed that. Once again, it’s just art. It’s interpretative. I feel like we’re on the same side here, we’re both against Jude being portrayed as something she’s not. We’re just on two sides of the same coin. You may interpret Jude as softer and with more traditionally euro-centric features while I interpret her as something different. That’s ok, and I’m not trying to attack you either. In the original post I was just expressing my frustration at how some artists will draw her in absurdly ostentatious gowns and a face full of makeup for the everyday which is something I’m sure you and I can both agree Jude wouldn’t do. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I’d be happy to talk more over dm if you want ! :)

this is a respond to the post you made about how fan art potray Jude. i have to disagree for a few reasons; first, taryn and jude are twins that look exactly alike. and taryn is described as very pretty and feminine and soft. while jude is described also as beautiful and feminine. not just that remember that jude is 17 years old, shes still a teen and in the fan art you posted she looks almsot thirty tbh. yes, jude's behavior is not very feminine, but when it comes to her physical appearance-

Hey anon! Thanks for your reply! Jude is described as beautiful and feminine , you’re absolutely right. Though I am biased, I think my art portrayed her as beautiful and yes- feminine. I didn’t know tan skin, wavy hair, and a bigger nose/mouth/eyebrows made her unfeminine? As for looking almost 30, thats why it’s called fan art and not canon. I portrayed her regality as a queen and aged up her character a bit in the process. That was my interpretation of her in ONE peice. Don’t get your panties in a bunch.

Is it just me or do most artists over feminize Jude in their fan art? Unless the art is based off of a canon scene where she got more dressed up I just feel like having her in a ton of makeup and beautiful dresses all the time is just.... really out of character for Jude??? Jude Duarte in the books doesn’t care much about her appearance at all and I doubt she would be petite and dainty after so much horseback riding, sparring, etc. idk I feel like we were given this wonderful, strong, bad ass, female character who specifically doesn’t conform to the ideal of a woman and then some fan artists kind of betray that by drawing her incredibly out of character.
