Hello! :) I'm about two days late, but better late than never, right?
Last week was my most relaxing week of summer, which is good considering it was the last week of summer. I definitely loved seeing all of you last Saturday/Sunday. Above are some pictures from those beloved two days, including the before and after beauty shots of those of us who were at the sleepover and some photos from the picnic.
It was also very nice seeing some of you at Feliza's debut on Sunday!
Had my first day of Frosh today. It was pretty fun! Met a bunch of new people. It felt really awkward at first. When I first arrived, I didn't know if I'd find the courage to just go up to someone and begin the introductions, but it eventually worked out! Some of the interesting people I met today:
Two Mary's: one who loves photography, the other who somehow knows a bunch of people from Mary Ward, even though she went to O' Connor.
Two Filipino girls: Jackie and (...shoot, I forgot the other's name). We've formed a 'Filipino Mafia' and have called ourselves 'Sinigang'.
A Steve, who loves to smile, ping pong, physics and who apparently always gets mistaken for a pilot.
A Russell who used to live in the same place I lived in when I was in the Philippines!
We pretty much did the same thing the entire day (cheering), which made it a bit boring. We were also supposed to have a foam party today but it got postponed to tomorrow due to rain. Still, it was fun. The Science Department's cheer is stuck in my head: We're Science! We're dope! We'll beat you down with our microscopes!
The other departments' comeback, I believe, went somewhere along the lines of:
You study, you read, but you won't get laid!
