Blaine smiled softly at Samâs protective response.  âYouâve know Kurt for longer than I have, Sam.  He wasnât always like this,â he said.  There had been good times in his relationship with Kurt, lots of themâŠbut those had been a long, long time ago.  Like the Teenage Dream he had sung about on the day they met, the relationship just wasnât one that would endure.  For too long, Kurt had treated him like an accessory, something to use when it benifited him and disregard otherwise. âDinner?â he asked, âThat sounds nice.  Where would you like to go?â
âI know. Heck, I even lived in the same house for a while. He was nothing like he is these days.â Sam admitted as he thought back on coming back to Lima and the Hudmels giving him a room to stay in. But Kurt had changed, already back then but more so after he moved to New York. He snorted when another memory popped up in his mind. âThere was a time you and I didnât really get along at first..â He was quick to wrap an arm around Blaine and give him a half hug before taking a bite from the salad Blaine made. Nodding he swallowed down his food. âHow âbout that Mexican restaurant?â Â
