Takeaways from the Needtobreathe show in Boston last week: 1. the Oh Hellos are fantastic live.

2. Why why why would you leave "after the show" before the lights come on?  Lights still off after band leaves stage = encore.  Exactly 100% of the time.  It's like leaving the theater before the end credits are done in a Marvel movie - you don't do it.  

3.  House of Blues is creepy.  They're all decorated w/ the same theme and they're all just weird.  The center stages at the HOBs either feature the Hand of Fatima (an occult protection symbol/spell against curses), or a statue of Maharishi (indian guru guy who coined transcendental meditation) with some new age quotes.   Not gonna get into it here, just a weird vibe.

4.  I should've bought a banjo when i had the choice between that and my first guitar…

Fall in New England = one of the few reasons my wife and I moved back here.  She lived in the U.S. from Colombia for like 7 years and never experienced it.  Colombia doesn't have seasons, and Los Angeles & Hawaii (where she lived in the states) don't have autumn.   Told her all about New England autumn / neglected to tell her all about New England winter :/  Sorry babe.  LOL
