Marc Simonetti:  On the ADWD cover for Brazil, I put Daenerys at the top of the stairs of the Meereenese pyramid. I had undoubtedly been, unconsciously, influenced by the series. And George [R. R. Martin] told me that Daenerys wants equality for everyone, she wants to be at the same level as her people, so I had her climb down to keep it consistent.

I had so much fun doing this Emmrook DA:I-style tarot card commission for my sister that I decided I wanted to do one for Fitzsimmons, so here it is! Showcasing the medpod and Fitz's sacrifice (and Jemma's rescue) for maximum emotional damage because that's how I roll. I took inspiration for their pose from the cover to the 1987 edition of Robert Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land by artist James Warhola, of all things. I think it turned out really well.

I'm rewatching Buffy and let me tell you, I hate the love at first sight trope and Buffy/Angel is one of the worst I've ever seen. They kiss for the first time in 1x08 and the only thing I felt was confusion. At that moment they only had like 4 brief conversations. All of them about "work" (watch out, the master is up to something or something like that) nothing personal, not a single conversation about a a personal experience they both could relate, something that could create a special conexion between them. In those few scenes there's nothing at all to justify deep feelings for each other. Angel is there being hot and mysterious and Buffy is there being 16 (SIXTEEN!)

I'm totally fine with attraction at first sight, but that's not enough. It has to be builded up. They had like 10 minutes of interaccions in season 1, and am I suposse to believe they're in love? I thought their relationship would have a better development in season 2, but so far that didn't happen. I've just seen 2x08 and when Buffy says "i love you but I can't trust you" I'm like giiiiirl you don't know this guy! what are you talking about?! The show tell us they're in love but it didn't show how it happened. Bangel is suppose to be a great love story, but it has no fundation at all, it's just forced and flimsy.

Love at first sight is bad writing and so lazy, and that's why I hate it.

Honestly I'm kind of disappointed, but mostly baffled.

Sharing this because it's a perfect summary and a good breakdown for outsiders, I believe.

I'm seeing many latinoamericans calling venezuelans stupid or mocking the feeble hope we have, while they turned a blind eye and made Venezuela the source of memes for years.

And on the other side is Americans acting like Maduro and Chavez were saints who did nothing ever. And, just...please, just watch and share the video. I'm tired, man.

I'm having a rollercoaster of emotions since last night. I haven't sleep, and most of us are on the same boat.
