Bio
Hi there! My name is Amanda! I recently joined the Dramione fandom and I'm having so much fun writing and reading everything the internet has to offer. I'm in my late twenties (27 to be exact), a Ravenclaw, and I live in the midwest. Since I was 13, I have dreamed of becoming a published writer, so when I'm not writing fanfiction or reading books, I'm working on trying to get my first novel published.
You will never find me not writing, or thinking about writing. It's a constant loop on my brain. I will always include my two favorite things into my books: plants and my cat. My cat Esther will always make an appearance, though her name will change project to project.
My favorite books besides Harry Potter: A Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas, Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, Serpent & Dove Trilogy by Shelby Mahurin.
Currently Reading: Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling, Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Finally, a note from my cat from her pass across the keyboard: -p[[l;526

Favorite Writing References & Resources
NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)
Roots and Refuge Farm on YouTube (This is for those interested in gardening, I have learned so much about homesteading and plants from Jessica. Her tips are my ride or dies)
Weed `em & Reap on YouTube (Also for the homesteaders/gardeners. Their goats inspired Hermione's in Illumine, and it's where I learned allllll about the goats)
Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody (This has a fantastic beat sheet for plotting that I use for my original works. I linked to Book Depository since it ships worldwide, but you should be able to find this in your local bookstore)
Writers Helping Writers Books by Angela Ackerman & Becca Puglisi (This is a series of 7 books and they are so useful! They help with anything from emotions to settings. These are my must haves!)
Susan Dennard's Writing Resources for anything you might have questions on (publishing, writing, writing community, etc.). She has it all.
My Writing Must-Haves & Software
** None of these are sponsored, I just really love the products and they've helped me be productive over the past 14 years of writing<3
Forest App - I'm absolutely obsessed and have been for years. I plant trees and am accountable for my time. YES. It's the best focus app I've used.
Scribbles that Matter Journals - So, these journals are my literal lifesavers. I discovered them during my bullet journal phase a few years ago. I'm not someone who is huge into a daily planner, so I use this for keeping track of my writing. I keep track of word counts, writing goals, writing sprints, and the books I'm reading. I also keep a section each month to jot down notes for what I'm working on. I also stopped trying to draw and instead use stickers from The Happy Planner or Redbubble.
Muji 0.38mm Gel Ink Pens - A friend introduced these to me years ago, and these changed my life. For journal writing (in an A5 size), it works so nice, and cursive looks amazing.
Scrivener - I've had a version of this program since high school, and I cannot recommend it enough. It's a one time purchase (and if you complete either NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNoWriMo (sessions are April and July), you get 50% off which is what I did). It is so worth it, and the tools are endless. I love having photos on the side when I write, and it allows me to do that.
Scapple - Another program by Literature and Latte (Scrivener being the other one). This one is meant for brainstorming, but what I absolutely love using it for is to make family trees. They're messy, but whose isn't?
A can of Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry .... it's simply the best. And I'm caffeinated. What more could I ask for?
