Why are rope bunnies called "bunnies"?

that is actually a really fantastic question but in all honesty, I don't have a definitive answer for that and after browsing the internet there isn't much information on it as well. My guess would be along the lines of “it’s a primal thing, what’s more helpless while being ‘hunted’ than a bunny?” Or it could be something less thought-provoking like how a playboy bunny is a model of sorts so why not call these people rope bunnies lol 

All in all, being a rope bunny is fantastic and the name really sticks <3
