A lot of sweat shirts, sweatpants, some jeans, plenty of t-shirts, two/three suits, summer shorts (he's always excited to wear those, summer is his favorite season). some like, beanies he never wears, and billed caps he likes pulling out when it's sunny out. it's all pretty organized too!

when he shared a bedroom with david -> a lot of wrestling posters, pictures of family in frames, some band posters and movie posters that they both could agree on. Bunk bed, Brogan is on the bottom bunk, his bed is rarely made, but he had a few plushies of animals that David claimed "reminded him of Brogan." Nightstand with a lamp for late night comic reading.

A lot of stuff from his dad that he doesn't want in a storage unit, some old gear in boxes he hasn't put away yet, tools that he isn't using right now (most of them he'll lug up to his garage when he does need them), old CRT TV and VHS tapes, a sofa.

LINGER  taking the receiver’s hand, the sender lifts it to their lips, and gently kisses their knuckles, lingering for a moment before withdrawing. samara x shota ( @ropewalked )

the air was cool, streets wet with fresh, passing rain as a light breeze of wind hit her face. it chilled the warmness she was feeling in her cheeks only momentarily, looking over at shota as he both sat on a bench outside of samara’s apartment building. the streets were slightly desolate, most people probably at home and preparing for bed or in bars drinking until they couldn’t handle themselves anymore. not them, shota had offered to walk her home after they had spend the evening hanging out. samara still had annoyingly checked on him, and if she was being honest with herself, she’d missed his presence around her. so much that she wasn't ready to walk inside and call it a night all alone.

“thank you for walking me home again. most people wouldn’t.” she offered a small grin, her hand gently grabbing onto his as it sat on top of his thigh. it was a nice gesture and she always hoped that shota realized how much she really cared about him and how much that feeling had grown lately. she gave it a squeeze, the sudden feeling of it being lifted to his mouth was something she hadn’t prepared for. the softness of his lips pressed against her knuckles and in that moment, she could feel that turn in her cheeks go to her chest. it lingered for a moment, her hand going limp as her body let go of any tension. was it his way of thanking her? she wasn’t sure, but once she felt shota move the hand away from his lips, her fingertips pressed against his palm.

"what was that for?" a smile soon appeared on samara's face, her feet kicking back and forth beneath her.

Shota is all smiles, even on the walk back to Samara's apartment. He found himself enjoying her company more and more in recent days. It was really nice actually, to spend time with somene besides his usual group. If he was honest, it got pretty overwhelming at times, especially being around Taichi so much. He appreciates that Samara isn't overwhelming. The opposite for the most part, if the opposite was being easy to be around.

There's a smileon his face, even after kissing Samara's hand. It makes him a bit flustered himself, but he still completes the motion, looking away for a moment after he does. He squeezes her hand at his question, looking over at her again, grinning.

"Ah...yeah, I guess it felt right to? A thank you, and that you...ah...this is hard to say? You're very nice to me, so I like that... I sound like an idiot, don't I?" He laughs, still holding her hand.

Thekla kisses Clark's stupid head, smiling down at the idiot she was in love with. "Morning, handsome." She's practically purring, kissing his jaw and running a hand from his stomach and up his chest.

There was the undeniable attraction they had for each other, Thekla abandoning her plans to bring Clark the breakfast she bought to crawl on top of him, pinning his arms down and kissing down his neck. Head over heels didn't even begin to describe how she felt about him. So he was a little dumb, but that's how she liked her men. Stupid in love and all that.

adjusting to his new living situation hadn't been easy. it sure wasn't the first time he uprooted his life to move to the other side of the world to follow his ambition, but it felt the hardest. leaving japan behind was something he thought he was ready for. he thought he had outgrown it greatly. and still, he couldn't stop thinking american lifestyle was different, strikingly so. sometimes uncomfortably so, though, nothing he wasn't prepared to get used to. at least, he had his boys to turn to. it may come with its own set of problems and difficulties, but they helped him to get on his feet while he settled in. sure, he couldn't impose himself to go live with clark and his wife; with thekla newly found wave of success, those two had been going through a second honeymoon phase he intended to stirr as far away from, so his only option was to live with gabe, which was good, but it did bring him back to their early days when they behaved like frat boys.

now, it wasn't ideal, but it wasn't going to last; his career looked to be on the rise. he had landed only a few weeks ago and already had aew fans in a chokehold; success was about to follow.

when the bell rang, david lazily dragged himself to the door. "what did you forget this time, dawg?" he blurted out, opening the door, assuming it was only gabe who couldn't be asked to open the door with his own keys - or forgot them. though, any trace of the joke he was about to make died in his throat when his pale gaze landed on its exact, younger reflection. "what are you doing here!?" he blurted out, dark eyebrows frowning deep into his forehead. it's not like it was far-fetched that his family would try to reach him. they already tried, but he just avoided them. perhaphs sharing his current temporary address with brogan had been a mistake. still, any trace of doubt washed off his face as the eldest brother hung on the door, leaning against the frame, smug grin growing on his face. "the old man has you going door to door now?" brogue accent twanging in his annoyance.

To say Brogan had been nervous was an understatement. He was beyond nervous, but more than his nerves being a mess, he wanted to reconcile with his older brother. The goofball he remembered who was always nice to him. Always looking after him, picking him up when he fell down as a kid. Despite their age gap, they'd gotten a long real well for a long, long time.

Then, something changed in David. He stopped reaching out as much. Publicly spoke out against their dad, and worst of all against him. So when he knocked on the door, rang the door bell, he felt incredibly anxious about it all. Part of him wanted to turn tail and run as soon as he heard David's voice through the doo.

"No, dad didn't put me up to anything." Unlike David who'd wrestled some years in Ireland, Brogan had no experience with it. His accent was all Atlanta. Even when speaking Irish Gaelic, he sounded pretty American with it. "I didn't even tell him where you live David, I promise. I just...miss you? Is that so crazy, man? I wanted to see you." It was a bit of a desperate plea, something he knew was odd for him. But if he could be vulnerable with someone, it was his older brother, right?

"Ok, but are we taking the bus?" she teases, aware that would probably be the least effective form of transportation. Her fingers rested on the warm skin of his neck, her thumb feeling for any knots, pushing slightly at the first little knot she felt. "Let me know if it's too much." She had begun to feel at home in the house — clearly, if she could lead him to the nearest chair. She always told him the house was cozy and inviting, and anytime they could be in California together, the odds were they'd at least meet up. "So acts of service? For like a love language?"

She pauses, having to think about what hers are. "I'm not sure what I would be — words of affirmation, maybe? Because it's important to me to be claimed, that I'm good enough to be someone's partner, you know?"

"I wish we could take the bus," Jack laughs. "Nah, we can drive or take an Uber or something. I figure we both won't hate having a drink or two with dinner, right?" The way Azin's hands move feels nice. She works on those tense knots, finding them with ease. He lets out a small grunt at a particularily sensitve spot. "Nah you're fine. Don't be scared to use a little more pressure." He listens to her, thinking about love languages for a moment. While Jack didn't subscribe to things like that, he liked the concept in and of itself. "Yeah, I guess so." He nods. Jack listens again, with intent as Azin speaks.

"So like, reassurances and stuff?" He asks, curious about it. "That makes sense, I think. It's nice to know you're wanted, right? I think I get it."
