Sampson Casey Hoover is a huge goober.
He named his cat Zaftig all by himself, but he just calls her Fatty most of the time, despite the fact that she’s a very average cat. Or Zaffy. He takes her pretty much everywhere, and is usually covered in cat hair.
Doesn’t really do much magic, as it isn’t his main priority, but he’s can manage a pretty good “Incendio” and a decent “Locomotor Wibbly!”
However, he’s brilliant at Potions, and can make pretty much anything with minimal failures - he’s very good at following instructions. He uses this skill to make all sorts of nonsense, from Wideye potions to hair dyes. He usually dyes his hair dark colors, but is pictured natural. Also, it’s an ongoing joke that he drank a bit too much of the Wideye, which would explain how he doesn’t blink much and is extremely jittery.
Also picks his own ingredients (when they’re plant matter), and collects a good deal of the others (animal organs, etc).
Aka, he’s that gross kid who would eat bugs in class if you dared him. He’s barely squeamish, and isolates himself to avoid being made fun of.
He’s great at parties though, if you can get him to feel comfortable and stop socializing with the cats. Really, he’s funny and charming.
He’s just really nervous. Reeeallly nervous. He has almost no self respect and views himself as a burden to everyone, constantly fearing that he’s getting under their skin.
Voted most likely to live alone with cats in his 4th year.
Somewhere 4-6th year, haven’t decided.
Eats practically anything, if you couldn’t guess. He’ll sometimes wander into the kitchen at night and make himself something, since it’s such a short walk and he’d hate to bother anyone about it.
Has a 14 inch supple, ebony wand with a unicorn hair core.
Has been pretty much all gangly limbs since he first showed up at Hogwarts. He’s been that kind of disturbing, quiet student ever since.
Has a really annoying laugh. It’s like a donkey braying. And it’s really loud.
Snores and drools in his sleep. Sometimes, his snores make whistling noises through his teeth. People cover his face with pillows if he gets too loud.
Barely ever can get to sleep, but when he does, he’s like the dead.
Unexplained vendetta against shoes. If he can get away with it, he is always barefoot or wearing just socks.
