having a realization that big time rush was like. genuinely just really good non-toxic masculinity and showed really healthy male relationships and familial bonds. because like. one of the main boys, logan, largely has his character centering around his looks and self-image. but it’s never a quirk that’s made fun of for being gay or feminine. he’s poked fun at because of how over-the-top he is with it. and even then, while the others do make lighthearted jokes, they’re overall really accepting of his character and presentation, and only really tell him off when it’s wildly inappropriate or too excessive. and that kind of goes for all the others and their own quirks. carlos is meant to be the “dumb one”, but they never put him down to any extreme extent. they love his quirks! they don’t mind him wearing his helmet everywhere, even if it’s wildly inappropriate in the climate they’re in, and they’re fully aware of his strengths and when they need him. unless they’re actively in some conflict, they’re nothing but supportive to each other’s interests and quirks, and are wholeheartedly ready to throw down if anyone insults their bro. big time rush is the best show of our generation y’all
