ableism aside this plot just sucks ass 😭 we’re repeatedly told that john was “born to proect mikoto” and he’s just misguided with his execution but also he goes on a two day sloppy killing spree where he’s spotted by multiple witnesses and security cameras?? nice one dude

genuinely if yamanaka wanted to do a DID plotline so badly the easiest solution would’ve literally just been to give it to amane instead. make mikoto’s case more focused on toxic work environments and instead give it to the girl with repeated childhood trauma who categorizes herself into different states of self. amane even tries to attack es at one point so you can still have your “milgram doesn’t consider alters as prisoners” bit if that’s so important to your storyline. what the hell does mikoto’s story gain from any of this other than ableism and inconsistent storytelling
