Anya is a matryoshka doll, Sakura is a kokeshi doll

my thoughts below if you’re interested (_ _)。˚ ᶻ 𝘇 𐰁

I was told that matryoshka dolls were actually created in Japan, though when I looked into it, it seemed like the Japanese nesting doll in Japan is what inspired the creation of matryoshka dolls in Russia.

With this, I thought of a simple story for Kiku and Ivan (.◜◡◝)

✿ Kiku had gifted Ivan nesting dolls, and Ivan therefore felt inspired to create his own, which is the matryoshka doll.

For the little comic I made however, I was thinking Kiku gifted Ivan a kokeshi doll this time, and Ivan put it on a shelf along with a single matryoshka doll.. These two dolls had come alive!

The comic is an example of their interactions!

I’m not sure if I will make more comics of the two dolls, but for now, this is their little backstory. It might change.. I don’t know yet T-T
