Rock and a Hard Place || OPEN

Quentin jumped slightly when he heard someone call out to him. His savior had arrived, and much soon than he imagined. Quentin had resigned himself to staying in the cave for a few hours and never expected someone would show up to help so soon. Although he would never admit it. He gave Fermata a large pat on the back, pointing towards the floating rock and towards the voice that responded.
âSee, I told you someone would come! You canât be so pessimistic all the time.â Quentin gave a smug smirk towards his pokemon, Â the hypocrisy was lost on him. Fermata had calmed himself down from the sudden shout a bit earlier and went back to his usual trend of ignoring his trainer. Quentin rolled his eyes before taking a deep breath and shouting back at the strangerâs questions.
âYeah, weâre fine. Well, weâre fine physicallyâŚmy egoâs a bit bruised.â He responded, trailing off a little towards the end. The scientist placed his hands on the floating rock, examining it a bit before continuing. âThis thingâs blocking our path. Itâs absolutely fascinating. Giant, floating, magnetic rocks. Really cool, if a little inconvenient.â Quentin started to get distracted, starting to rant and rave about the science behind the rocks.
He started pacing back and forth while talking. It was mostly to distract himself from his current predicament. Despite how cool the rocks were, he was still stuck in the enclave of the cave, with only one way out that was still blocked. It was all starting to get to him.
âAnyway, Iâm starting to get a little claustrophobic.â He said, adjusting his labcoat before nervously rubbing his arm a little. âIf itâs not too much trouble, could you get me out? Please!â
Okay, so they werenât hurt, that much she could gather from the way they were talking. She thought it was a boy, just based off of the voice, but she wasnât completely sure. At least that was one less thing to worry about. It was probably a good thing she came along this...unique situation, for the lack of a better word to describe this. Someone else couldâve came along after her but...
No, she wasnât allowed to think like that. Right now, she had to do what she could to help. Rosa wouldnât allowed herself to just leave this alone, it wasnât in her nature to do so, or to leave things left half finished. So for now, she just listens, trying to figure out as much as she can before she acts. Better to have all the information she could before doing something reckless and just making things worse...
Still, the fact that the other mentioned being claustrophobic...she better act as fast as she can. She doesnât want to make him any worse in this situation.
âIâll do what I can! Just hold on for a bit okay?!â she yells back, looking to her Pokemon. Thankfully the two electric types arenât the only ones she has with her right now, but she might have a better chance with them. She looks at them both, a bit expectantly. âCan you two try and move this for me?â she asks, and the two nod as she backs away from them and the rock to let them do what they can.
Logically, it makes sense that theyâd be able to do something considering all the electricity that flows through this cave. Rosa watches as the two electric types discharge what they can onto the rock, and while it doesnât move a whole lot, it moves a bit. Maybe, just maybe...
âCome on...I know you two can do this...â she encourages, and when they attempt again, the rock moves a bit more. Just a bit more...and one last attempt moves the rock more, and there seems to be a gap, but sheâs not sure.
âI think thereâs a gap now...can you see it?â she yells out, hoping the stranger can see it.
