Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. There are nearly 300 of you now- thank you! I’ve been putting fandom on the back burner to deal with some personal stuff, both good and not so great, but I thought it was important that I come on here to make a quick post in light of the recent news regarding polygrumps, specifically ns/fw works.
Polygrumps has always existed on the basis of consent. We were given the permission to ship, and from what I’ve seen during my time here, a majority of the fandom has done so very respectfully. That consent was revoked yesterday. Specifically in regards to erotic art and fiction. We were asked to please stop producing it and to take it down. And honestly? That’s all there is to it. It’s not “hmmm, interesting.” There doesn’t need to be a reason “why now??” and frankly, we aren’t entitled to one. Consent, no matter what the situation may be about, can be changed at any moment and no one gets to question “why.” Period.
Naturally I’m a little bummed. This fandom connected me with Bug and some amazing friends, and reawakened my passion for art. But that being said, I completely understand and will be respecting their wishes.
I’m also very grateful that the topic was broached naturally during a regular recording session and not as a reaction to fans overstepping, which can and has definitely happened in other fandoms in the past. It’s also important to note that while they dislike the erotic content, they want to make it clear that they aren’t mad at the creators or demonizing anyone. Please do not beat yourself up if you’re now feeling guilty for creating or participating in erotic art/fiction. They made it very clear that they don’t think you’re a bad person for it and it’s true, you’re not <3
I spent the night taking down all of my ns/fw posts, including links to my ao3 and twitter, which have been heavily locked down. I won’t be deleting my blog or my sfw art here, for anyone who still wishes to enjoy it.

Howdy, friends! Rose did an amazing job of communicating her feelings and action plan after the recent polygrump changes. I, Bug, agree with her whole heartedly.
Given the new info, we’ll be removing the nsfw content from this blog (and our joint twitter) and privating any Rosebug AU related works on AO3 as well.
We want to thank you for contributing to our AMA’s and for your kind words about our work and hopefully once we get our bearings back, you’ll see some sfw content on this blog sometime soon (:
