My name is Rose Tyler. When I was younger I traveled with a wonderful man called the Doctor. Then, I learned how to live a better life.                     “Not a clue.” Unless she could figure out how to make a deadly weapon out of a nail filer. 

           ”But in the words of a very annoying man, I’d say we better run.” Backing up with a light grip on one of the blonde’s arms, she started to turn around, long legs ready to lead their flee.

     "All right mate. I'd say that's probably a pretty good plan."

    She turned and fled quickly, the other woman right on her heels. She wove through alleyways and narrow streets until finally, the footsteps clambering behind them seemed to cease. "Right then," she panted, "any idea where that very annoying man would be? Usually he shows up by now."

"Because there are some things in this world that make you never want to travel with anyone again, Rose. The things I could tell you - the nightmares they would ilicit from your mind alone - no. I don’t do it. Not anymore. It’s not worth it."

"Try me Doctor. I'm not the girl you left on that beach all those years ago. Believe it or not I've seen things too." She took a small step forward, sad eyes roaming over the Doctor's features. "You've regenerated...what? Three times since I saw you last. Are you even trying to be careful?"

"Rose Tyler." She spoke, turning slowly. "It’s been a very long time since you last saw me, I’m afraid. Quite a many things have happened."

"I can tell. Same old Doctor though." Rose sighed, stepping forward to look at the woman in front of her. "Why do you do this? Shut people out. I know how much losing them hurts you but...why be on your own. Better with two, isn't that what we said?"

"Well you've certainly gotten all sorts of grumpy since I last saw you Doctor. What happened? This isn't like you."

"Doctor," Rose exclaimed, bounding into the TARDIS with a grin on her face, "where are we off to today? Please tell me somewhere exciting!"

"So y’want exciting, eh, Rose Tyler?" the Doctor beamed back at her. "Hold on tight, I’ll give ya exiting!"

Rose laughed. "Of course I want exciting! Otherwise what's the point of travelin' with you," she teased. She hung onto the TARDIS with a grin as they lurched through time and space. "So where are we off to this time?"

"Oh, I know who you are. Rose Tyler, child of time, defender of Earth." She isn’t smiling. She only seems a little sad, and she wrings her hands in an affectation of nervousness. "Bad Wolf. My, oh, my, en’t you been a busy gal." She sways where she stands. "It’s hot in here. It’s so hot in here. I need my thief.

Rose's eyes widened and for a moment she was torn. Torn between confusion, hope, and concern. She rushed forward and put an arm around the woman to stabilize her. "Woah, woah, woah easy there! Who are you? How...how do you know all that? It should be impossible." She bit her lip. "Are you all right? Do you need medical attention? I can call one of the doctors to come take a look at you."
