Okay but Harry’s “this venue is quite special to me speech” before he made the crowd sing happy birthday to Louis why did he do that? It would’ve been enough to joke about how crazy it was that he and Louis went to the same concert before they actually met but no. No he didn’t do that. He said “this venue is quite special to me” becaUSE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE AND LOUIS WERE IN THE SAME ROOM AND MAYBE THEY WALKED PAST EACH OTHER THAT DAY WHO KNOWS MAYBE THEY WERE JUST A FEW PEOPLE APART IN THE QUEUE THEY DONT KNOW THAT VENUE IS QUITE SPECIAL TO HARRY BC IT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE ALMOST MET HIS SOULMATE AND HE TOLD EVERYONE /TWICE/ IN ONE DAY BC IT WAS LOUIS’ BIRTHDAY AND HE ASKED THE CROWD TO CALL HIM BOOBEAR AND HE RECORDED IT ON HIS PHONE AND WHY DID HE DO THAT WHY DID HE

Ok, but picture Louis and Harry cuddled up on the couch on a lazy Saturday afternoon. They’ve got their laptop out, balancing on the both of them so they can both see the screen. They’re searching through social media posts from that concert years ago. Pulling up any picture they can find, zooming in and poring over every detail, every face. Gasping with excitement when they occassionally find one of them in the background of a picture. But it isn’t enough. They keep searching, hopeful, having to keep fixing the laptop balancing on them because they try to cuddle up closer because even just one millimeter of space between them is too much. It’s been several hours, but it feels like only minutes, when Harry points at a picture for Louis to open. It loads slowly, but when it does, they freeze, fingers pressing tighter into the other’s skin. It’s different from looking at their ticket stubs they’d both kept, it’s not like there was any doubt they were at the same show. But this picture, they’re both in it. They’re not next to each other, they’re not looking at each other. But that doesn’t matter. It’s them. Both their faces are visible, no question it’s them. They turn and look at each other, each looking stunned, before they both start giggling and sneak a couple quick kisses. Louis bats Harry’s hand away from the laptop keyboard because he isn’t saving the pic fast enough. Saves it to the laptop, emails it to each of them separately, puts it in their Dropbox, and “it’s an important picture I just want to make sure it doesn’t accidentally get deleted so yes I’m going to save several copies thank you very much, Harold”.
