Writing is first and foremost about having fun.

So write the story you want to write, no matter how cliché or overdone of a concept it might be. You are allowed to explore your ideas, create your write stories, even if it happens to be filled with millions of things we’ve already seen before.

As long as you enjoy what you're doing, and are passionate about your projects, that's more than enough reason to continue! So try not to give too much thought into what other people are trying to tell you, because there’s an audience for everything. Some people do actively seek out stories with ''washed up'' concepts.

Besides, you are not sacrificing your creativity by choosing to write about something that has been done before. Quite the opposite.

I find Marinette crying over Chat Noir so powerful.

Yes, the rain, the music, the bubbly view of him. No doubt that she is in love with him now. And she realises that.

But the fact that Chat reminded her of the boundaries of their "professional relationship" while unintentionally rejecting her was like a cold shower. Put that together with Manipula's line: "Ladybug accumulates bad choices."

She tried to push Chat Noir away and ignore whatever sliver of affection she had for him. Well guess what? Turns out he is more competent and charming than he seems and maybe the Jubilation dream also had an effect on her, making her realise that life could be SO nice when it is full of Chat Noir's love.

But trying to protect the world, Ladybug had pushed him away. And now she realises that that was a bad decision.

She got distracted TWICE this episode by her love to Chat Noir (I'm not even getting on how the wax Chat managed to manipulate her while the real Chat was literally there. That's how in love she is).

Maybe Maribug is now realising that no matter what, she'll love either Adrien or Chat Noir, and it will always put a strain in her work as superhero.

In a way, Marinette cannot separate the hero from the person she is. Let's revert back to Chat's encouragment this episode: "Your real power was never the miraculous object. It is your capacity to use it." It isn't the suit that makes Marinette, Ladybug. It is the girl within. And the girl within is very much in love with Chadrien, no matter how much she tries to fight it.
