Rita Hayworth in a publicity photo for Affair in Trinidad, 1952
Trinidad was herĀ ācomebackā film, her first in 4 years. She had left Hollywood in 1948 after meeting and soon marrying Prince Aly Khan. The marriage faltered rather quickly, the couple separating and reconciling and then finally divorcing in 1953. Her comeback, in which she was paired again with Gilda colleagues Glenn Ford and director Vincent Sherman, was a huge success, however, her highest grossing film.
