//I’ll try not to make this too long, but on the 7th of December, 2017, my dad’s work decided to lay him off. Their reason was “attitude”, but I know my dad and his attitude towards customers was more than polite. He never has bad reasons to be annoyed at someone, so if his attitude was sour towards his coworkers, it wasn’t for nothing. 

In the skype conversation linked here (profanity warning), I mention that my dad was wanting to leave, because he’s severely unhappy, yes. However! He wanted to do that while under the safety net of having a job. 

(Highly recommend checking out the link above, if only because it also details some important things you might ask).

They say they’ll call my dad back in a month, but we’re a struggling family who lives from one paycheck to the other. How it worked for us: the first paycheck went entirely to rent, the second to bills and food/essentials. We, quite literally, cannot afford to wait a month. 

We don’t live in the poorest of conditions, but I will point out that not only can we not afford food, we’re moving into winter without heating (I don’t like counting the small space heater, because it can barely warm a room to decent temperatures, let alone an entire house). We mostly relied on our wood-stove for warmth, but wood = money.

My dad’s going to be doing everything he can to keep us afloat, but we might not be able to afford some basic things and there’s a way you can help us with that.

1) Paypal! Not everyone’s favorite way to help, but I’m listing it here for anyone who wants to donate a specific amount of money, and not an amount constricted by Ko-fi. My Paypal is [email protected].

2) Buying me a coffee. Some people prefer this, probably because it sounds better (I know I like saying “buy me a coffee” better). You can find that here. 

3) My amazon wishlist. I want to express that I used Amazon for personal reasons way before this, so you can ignore those other lists (I like organizing too much). Over the month, I will be adding various basic supplies to the list labeled “needs”, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. 

4) Kind messages help emotionally support me through this rough time, but I can’t live entirely off them. They’re still appreciated and I love each and every one of them. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart.
