had to have high , high hopes for a living . shooting for the stars when i couldn’t make a killing . didn’t have a dime but i always had a vision . always had high , high hopes .
sysoyev·:
deep breath ; take it all in. it is not as painful as it used to be but it’s still there, like a rock in the pit of her stomach. someday’s a boulder, others a pebble. either way, it was always weighing her down. she nods at noah’s words, a sad smile working it’s way on to her lips. ❝ do you believe in reincarnation? ❞ ilya had always said he’d come back as a dragon ; he was far too beautiful for that. a butterfly, maybe. sad smile turns soft, genuine. ❝ oh noah, i would love to. ❞ meeting new people, making new friends … she’s never had a chance to be quite this soft. an arm wraps around noah’s shoulders, alyona’s head tilts itself against his. ❝ i’m sure your sister, your whole family, is proud of you. ❞ she’s only known him a short while, but pride radiates from her chest. ❝ i know i am. ❞
‘ reincarnation ’ pulls noah by the shirt, in an attempt to grab at his heart gently to remind him of what more he had left behind as the undead came back. he nods, “yeah. i, uh —“ he clears his throat. is he having trouble talking? yes, maybe. it’s certainly not a first. it’s not very easy to talk about the past. “i was raised as a buddhist. i always thought that reincarnation was the coolest thing in the world.” a pause where a short, soft laugh takes over. “that was until i found out about art and special effects. what do you think you could be reincarnated into?” that’s a grim topic, he knows, but noah retains his cheerful disposition even as he talks. “i would want to be something cool — like a glowing sea turtle.
“i think she’d like you,” words that, frankly, noah is wrong to say. sabrina wouldn’t … sabrina lau does not like anyone who is more than friends with her brother, and certainly she will not like anyone who treats him like a son — but sometimes, he is stubborn. he thinks that they both deserve someone who cares as much as alyona, to be held as such. “i think you’d like her. she’s a little rough around the edges but she can be fun. really?” he smiles shyly, tilting his head to glance at her with bright eyes. “you think so? thank you, alyona.”
when you wanna show off but you have actual work to do. (^ワ^=)

“ just don’t eat any berries that you don’t fully recognize”, he was right though, it took aster MONTHS of learning to see which berries would probably kill her and which were fine to eat, it was frustrating because in her eyes they all looked the same but now she was able to see some sort of difference, even if it was a slight one. “ i’ll help you if you want, i can make you a little drawn guide of which are safe and which aren’t, i wish someone would’ve done that for me when i was learning but my mom was a terrible artist in the sense of drawing” aster’s memories of her mother made her happy, she wished that she could be with her, alive and well but deep down aster knew that it would never happen again. her little train of thought came to a halt when she heard him speak again “ well i’d go on long hikes with my mom and she’d teach me everything, i feel like deep down she knew that something like this would happen and she just wanted me to be ready you know?” or maybe it was all just a huge coincidence and aster was lucky to have some sort of knowledge.
aster’s face immediately lit up as he mentioned special effects makeup, that was something she’d always been interested in it but if she wasn’t good at regular makeup at times then she knew she’d fuck up special effects makeup. “ that’s so amazing though!!, i’ve always wanted to learn but i tried once and i think i ended up giving my friend some sort of accidental chemical burn”. aster was one of the clumsiest people with pretty much everything but not with her art, NEVER with her own art. “ i moved to california before all of this happened, i had started studying art there as well, it had always been my dream but this kinda ruined it but it’s fine i guess, it didn’t take away my art”. the girl had finally started feeling more comfortable, it was easy talking to him and for once in the past ten minutes she’d finally been able to control her breathing.
he has many objections to her given advice, but noah remains to keep silent and nod otherwise. it is SOLID ADVICE — he could go with it, sitting in his back pockets, ready to be of use — and he won’t deny her the gratitude for a kindness that should seem so out of place in a world like this one, in a world that is ravaged by death and a ferocity that he could never bring it in himself to be a part of. “you would do that?” he asks in surprise, lips parting to reveal teeth as he smiles. this bright, little ผีเสื้อ and her tricks up her sleeves. “that would be really helpful, but don’t feel pressured to do it.” it’s a reminder of sorts. noah had always been told that in art school, and he has taken a liking to telling others too … except he means it, and he isn’t expecting more. “that would be very nice.” noah beams at the story of the origins of this knowledge, and he remembers his own mother. tao chonharuktej is not a woman of the wild, but she knows numbers and her son is well-brought up in the probability of things. “your mother sounds like a lovely and clever woman.”
he sees it in her face : an expression that noah recognizes in himself, and others. it’s not a profession that’s as popular as what his high school peers chased after, but it is a cool one. “oh, yeah? i did that way too often when i first started,” noah says, remembering his own beginnings in the art. “a lot more if your models don’t tell you what they are or might be allergic to.” he shrugs, sheepishly scratching the back of his neck. noah raises a brow in amusement, “really? imagine if we had accidentally walked by each other before this?” it’s a small world, after all, and the possibilities are truly endless — or rather, it is noah’s tendency to cling to hope that speaks ( … as it always has ). he smiles, “you’re right. art will always be here, no matter what happens. i think that’s why i like it so much, you know? things might get bad but art’s always there, and it can be something that could help in making things … not … so bad –“ he clears his throat, and it’s a quick glance at the girl’s sketchbook in his lap that reminds him : he has yet to introduce himself. “– hey. i’m noah, by the way.”
saycrs·:
home? there were no more homes — only buildings. and of course, oona would never consider AMERICA home. ❝ may i come over sometime? ❞ she asks casually. there’s no harm in asking. she wants to see what he’s like in his personal space : it shows a lot about people. oona, for one, had plastered the walls of her basement apartment with posters. stupid, since there was no telling when she would have to give up the luxury of her o w n house. little piles of clothes are scattered in the corners of the studio, the kitchen sink is overflowing with dishes. she’ll get to them eventually. —— a shy smile appear on doll-like features, the flutter of dark lashes. she finds the nickname endearing, if not a little cheesy. ❝ would you? ❞ she asks, nervously chewing on her bottom lip. she’s never had a man stay the night before — except for cohen. he didn’t count. ❝ would you stay for me, ที่รัก? ❞ she’s questioning him now, figuring out how dedicated he may or may not be. ❝ we could always … pass the time some other way. ❞ she lets her words hang in the air for a moment. ❝ i have puzzles. ❞
the question doesn't surprise him, but he's curious about one thing : why? it's not like him to deny her of anything ( that's not a very smart thing to do, he knows. ) and he even finds coming up with a reason not to difficult. "why not," he says easily with a shrug. "it's only fair that you see where i stay, as i've seen where you stay." the uneasiness of letting someone else into one's home passes by him.
noah looks at her, then, smiling softly with an answer already sitting in his mouth, waiting to be said. "if you want me to, i will." he supposes that something about oona makes her into an exception ... but he won't call it too easily. he's been mistaken before — and people have been mistaken about him and efforts, too. he laughs joyfully, "puzzles? you should've just said so earlier, then i would've said yes quicker.”
avarusism·:
IT DIDN’T HURT, but it also didn’t help. a part of her felt like it was only a way to ease the pain of the certain denouement that was sure to come. delaney was a pitstop, nothing more. girls like delaney were often mere stops in the road, places to see and find exactly what you DIDN’T want in a friend or even a lover. she knew this, she had been told this by people her whole life, especially by those whose opinions she truly trusted. if all of that reigned true, she supposed that she wouldn’t mind being nothing more than a stepping stone for a guy like noah. she could only WISH that if she were just that, then noah would learn to surround himself with better people, not girls like her or people like her. ❝ you’re the best, noah. ❞ delaney resigns whatever worries she may have for noah to SILENCE, kept under lock and key. he doesn’t need to know the true depth of anxiety she feels in regards to her own self-worth. he shouldn’t have to.
❝ well, aren’t i just the LUCKIEST gal in all of boulder ? ❞ the girl jokes with a warm smile. really, she is lucky to be here with noah, to momentarily have his full attention. if the sentiment of her being the only girl he draws was true . . . well, that would really be something. but trust issues force her to question the validity of it all, wonder if noah is simply trying to save face and tell her pretty white lies to mitigate her descent into darkness. still, she couldn’t escape the feeling of SUPERIORITY over all of the girls, accomplishment filling her soul. a smile tugged at her lips, cheeks sore from how long she held it. as much as she loathed admitting it, delaney was the type of person who vied for that constant attention and affection. luckily for her, noah was in the business of giving it out, free of charge. ❝ hey, by the way, am i doing this right ? i’ve always heard that you were supposed to stay still and stuff. should i even be talking ? ❞ the girl questioned.
noah could laugh — and he does, for a quick moment. is he? he’s been told that his entire life, though modesty has him react to it differently than any other boy his age. the faintest of a shy smile that he hides behind a sudden scrawl of lines across the canvas, letting the silence that her words has brought be lost to the sound of lead against parchment, the frantic flip of papers. “yeah, well –” noah shrugs, and he doesn’t mean to take his eyes off of delaney while he speaks but a small part of him feels that he needs to … for reasons that can easily be concealed by the most obvious one : he’s far too busy now. “– you can have the best of me, delaney. is that okay? you don’t mind?” it’s never really that easy, he knows, but while inspiration takes the hold of his shoulders and shakes him with a terrifying urgency, he also knows that there’d be no one else he can leave that to. “i trust you.”
three words that bring back the voice in his head, saying : stupid boy ! you are a stupid boy, หัวใจ ! but this is the one time that noah finds it to be so small, almost indiscernible. delaney takes up her space in his mind, that’s it — and he looks up at her, in awe. “the luckiest,” he says softly, momentarily caught off guard by how the light strikes her as she smiles … and he can’t be any more angry with himself for not finding an easier way to capture it. “your smile will kill me one day, you know that?” a short chuckle of amusement passes his lips, “you’re doing great — thank you, really. though …” lines of worry, the end of the pencil stuck between teeth. “ … i’m trying my best, but it’s just so hard to get you down on paper. you look like an angel and i don’t think i have the power to emulate that.”
sysoyev·:
alone? … yes, yes, she was. more alone than she’s ever been before. touched-starved and looking for love in every nook and cranny. ilya’s dead. she’s come to this conclusion. it was time to move on, whatever that meant. ❝ yes. ❞ a short and simple answer, accent thick with her russian dialect. ❝ my husband … is gone. ❞
a soft smile appears, beckoning him to continue. ❝ women are smart. we’re tough. ❞ tough didn’t include her, though. alyona is as weak as they come. sure, she could fight off walkers — that didn’t make up for the tears she shed each night. ❝ you’re welcome, ❞ she replies, head ducking down. it’s terrible of her, she knows that, but she can’t help but imagine noah is like that of the son she never got to meet. her poor little boy … did he resent her for never showing up? was he even alive? a lump in her throat appears. ❝ really, you’re more than welcome. ❞
gone could mean a few different things ... but death — although painful — is a sacred thing, and noah will not ask her to clarify. he only wishes the same of her husband : that he is well, that is he someplace safe. "i'm sorry," he says because he's not sure of what to say and how to move further. "but i do know that our loved ones always come back to us one way or another." dead or alive, he continues in thought.
he nods in agreement, and for a while, it eases the worry that suffocates him. "that's something she would say," noah starts. "when my sister and i moved to live on our own, she said that she might be the strongest girl in the world for carrying both herself and me." he shrugs, smiling. "she's right, though. i don't think i'd be anywhere close to alive without her. you should meet her one day." does he know how much trouble that would cause? no, not really. noah's desire for alyona to meet his sister is far too strong for any rationality.
saycrs·:
his words earn him a pout. ❝ go where? ❞ she inquires, emerald eyes pleading with him to stay. does she even like him? highly debatable. nonetheless, she takes is hand in hers, stroking small circles against the back of his hand. ❝ i don’t have a good reason. ❞ she admits softly. ❝ but i know i don’t want you to go — not yet. ❞ she’ll grow tired of him eventually, beg him to leave her be. but now she’s desperate for his attention. unsurprisingly. ❝ please stay. ❞ she asks, eyes wide.
oona sayer holds his hand and noah lau? he's not entirely sure if it's right for him to be here, if he belongs in this space with her — but he'll try his best anyway, to appease her ... and isn't that what he's found himself to be undoubtedly incredible at? “home.” he replies, failing to realize how that seems like a lie. noah gets it : there’s no such thing as home but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t at least make one out of something. “do you want me to stay the night, สีทอง?” noah shifts slightly, sitting closer to her. “what should we do to pass the time? play cards?” he questions, laughing slightly.
nahyejins·:
after hearing such an announcement most people would run and hide and pray for the best and that they will be spared. even just make it through one night. jin was the one off person in after hearing the mans voice warning everyone around who heard just rolled her eyes and muttered to herself ❝ dramatic much.❞ she knew how serious the situation was no matter what people would think. jin being jin she found it slightly humorous at how dramatic the man sounded even if it was necessary. she had basically just arrived at boulder county and there was already a major problem. she should of just stayed alone; she was good at it. from what she gathered from the announcement jin began to end north to where the chaos would begin to start. she passed people on the way not taking much notice of them. she was only focused on one thing right now. she had to admit to herself she got a satisfaction of killing the walking dead. the less of them there are the better. though the mindset of this had gotten her into trouble many times; even with her own life almost being taken away. she would make sure she would never turn into one of those things. just before she could even find a good hiding position to be for when the undead came jin noticed someone out in the open. she hadn’t exactly gotten to know everyone yet and she wasn’t even sure if she wanted to. sighing to herself she walked out slightly gun in hand. ❝ hey! get inside. unless you want to get chomped on.❞
oh, noah's heard the announcement ... but he's not so sure of how big of a horde it is. all he knows is that it's bad news ... and certainly, he should be locked in another one of their temporary houses with his other half — except that's a difficult task : sabrina lau is nowhere to be seen. he's left wandering the roads closest to where the rotters are meant to come, searching frantically like he'd lost something. in retrospect, he has lost something ... or rather, it's lost him.
he follows the voice and for a split second, hope whispers in his ear that perhaps, he's been found ... but her silhouette is not like that of his sister's. still, noah trudges on with a bright grin as a greeting. "right. yeah, well –" he doesn't want to bother her, truly. but he has to ask. "have you seen a girl about this tall?" a gesture to match his height. "dark hair, kinda pale? probably looks like she might kill you if you didn't step out of her way? i'm looking for her and i don't know where she's gone."
kcllwood·:
Her smile only grows when he laughs, when he smiles, when she sees that little glint in his eye that lets her know he’s only joking. People don’t joke anymore. She missed it more than she realized.
Besides, who wouldn’t melt if someone told you your smile could take their pain away? He knew exactly what to say. “That’s very sweet of you,” she said amiably, yet still almost chiding. “But if you show up here with your shoulder popped out of its socket, I’m not going to be smiling.”
don’t be mistaken — noah is sweet and at most times ( especially now during this time ), it’s used for the siblings’ advantage ... what else would one expect of his loving and UNWAVERING sabrina lau? to use her brother for their survival is the smartest thing to do. it is their BEST plan. now, however, kelly is not a threat and noah is simply being friendly.
“thank you.” he can’t keep himself from smiling and it aches, it aches ... he is both the candy and the sweet tooth surrendering to decay. “you’re a pretty sweet girl yourself, so i guess you can say that we compliment each other.” he purses his lips, his laughter is a soft hum as he pretends to contemplate it. “hm... do you prefer a different injury then? sprained ankle? broken arm?”
tenderbled·:
it might come as a shock to some , but delilah is a SOLITARY CREATURE by nature ; wandering the streets that boulder county contains alone? feels as routine as waking up in the morning , as breathing. the iowa home where the rosenberg’s were raised was always an EMPTY one — parents out who knows where & children out doing who knows what — the youngest rosenberg remembers walking herself to school , tucking herself in bed at night , waking up and falling to sleep to that same e m p t y household. she doesn’t blame them , her family , they had lives too – they had to support themselves too ; and she doesn’t even mind the cards she was dealt — after all , it’s made her adjust to the end of the world that much easier. is that SAD? that she doesn’t miss it? does that make her a bad person?
people help too. make the adaption all the easier ; aster and max and —– NOAH. he’s key , one of the reasons delilah finds the strength each morning & maintain her sanity. he’s got a beautiful soul , as warm as summer nights , and she finds comfort when he’s by her side & a certain SERENITY in his smile that makes her forget , for a moment , about whatever seems to be weighing her down — he makes her feel light as a feather , he makes her feel better. ❛ i could hear them back there , don’t know how many but we should find . . . somewhere. ❜ she trails off , eyes tracing the street signs & buildings they pass in hopes that something will spark a recognition ; a HOPELESS task , nothing looks familiar and she can feel the uneasiness swirling within her —– but then he speaks , the way noah lau speaks with words that hold promise & words that seem to swipe away the fear rising to it’s peak. instinct says it’s a dangerous effect for him to have on her , but she appreciates it nonetheless.
❛ honestly? words to live by , it can’t harm us if we’re not afraid , right? ❜ a widening smile & she pauses in her attempt to find safe refuge to match his pace. ❛ that’s such a cheesy answer — you are such a cheesy guy , noah. ❜ she says it with love & adoration , of course ! it makes her laugh , a hand squeezing his own. ❛ but i’m over the moon now that i’m seeing you , of course —- what are you doing out here anyway ? where’s your sister ? ❜
all eyes and ears, although noah is not certain of how to find the exit out of this maze that they had found themselves in. he has never been good at this and no map in all of boulder county would ever make him learn — his sister had always told him that he had the worst memory and she’s right, of course she is. “exactly,” he says in the midst of his search. “someone once told me that that was the first rule of living : do not be afraid...” he trails off only to interrupt himself. “all these places are pretty...” these temporary shelters have all been ransacked to their very last floors, he knows this — and noah doesn’t know how to trust a place like these to protect them. he shrugs in a lousy attempt to continue, smiling softly at the thought of families that once made a home out of them. “they’re pretty — or were. but, if you ask me, everything’s still beautiful the way they are. just,” a pause ; nostalgia is painful, isn’t it? “– need to look differently.”
noah has had bouts of doubts, bouts of defeat before. there are times when he came so close to succumbing to look at things through lenses such as that of his sister’s : pragmatic, rational, hard. but there was always something that brought him back, something that served as a reminder. today ( and he supposes, everyday from here on ), it was delilah rosenberg and that smile of hers that noah is certain that he would never forget, but he would never be tired of seeing. he laughs, but he glances at her momentarily to give her a look of slight bewilderment. “you’re going to tell me that i’m cheesy and then say things like ‘ over the moon ’? you are just as cheesy as i am, แดด.” he tries not to look too ... concerned when asked about his sister, and he tries very hard not to sound afraid either. “we were trying to get out from a group of raiders, i think that’s what they were. i’ll find her. it’s no worries.”
prditflorem·:
“ yeah but don’t worry you’ll be fine just don’t take any wild berries you’ve never seen before”. aster’s mom had always taught her of the wilderness, what aster could and couldn’t eat out there, maybe deep down her mom always knew a day like this would come and wanted to have her daughter prepared for survival but it could also just have been a skill or a life tip that she passed on onto her daughter, whichever of the two it was aster didn’t want to think too much of it. “ i’ll bring them some flowers next time that seems nicer than a thank you note i mean if i had to choose i would choose flowers but that’s a personal opinion i guess..”, her love for all types of flowers was noticeable from the moment you met her, if it wasn’t for her rose tattoo on her shoulder ( very cliche) it was for the plenty of drawings of flowers in her sketchbook. they were literally everywhere mostly in small doodles and even her white vans had now been painted over with sunflowers and roses, she had done those before the whole outbreak began and even had painted some for her friends since they had liked them, aster was pretty handy when it came to creating things and even now it was useful.
aster nodded offering him a small smile “ i would draw something different but the colors match well, this way i won’t have to wait until cherry blossom season to see them again” sure it wasn’t the same but aster didn’t even know if there were some actual cherry blossom trees around here. taking the small towel the girl cleaned her hands from the mess she had just created and somehow had to clean up as well, if there was something that aster had to take from this it was to learn how to control her clumsiness around people, especially him at this point and moment in time. “ uh well if you count stick drawings then since i was about three? –” a small more relaxed laugh escaped her lips before shrugging “ i don’t really know, i’ve always been drawing things or photographing them, if you speak ‘professionally’ which by the way i don’t think i am, then i guess a good seven years”. art was one of the things her mom first introduced her to, it was a way of expressing herself and aster took it up immediately and luckily enough she had the talent, a talent she wished now came to more use.. “ you like it? art i mean”
“that’s a little easier said than done,” noah says, an unwelcomed wrinkle of his nose at the truth of why that is. “i’ve never really seen that many wild berries. i don’t really know much about the wild in general, but ... thank you for that advice.” it’s not every day that you come across someone who offers you their fruit snack, their art and their little tips on how to survive colorado’s strange, strange setting. “i’ll make sure to keep that in mind.” he pauses for a brief moment, listening to her go on about the flowers. eventually, noah finds himself nodding his head in half-agreement but he’s far too MESMERIZED by her and her energy, albeit it be a little ... awkward. but he knows that isn’t her fault. “how do you know so much about these things, anyways? the wild berries and stuff?”
he smiles as she talks, laughs even when the topic grazes stick drawing. haven’t they all started there? when she asks him a question, noah almost forgets how to speak. there are so many ways to answer it. “yeah.” he nods, taking his eyes away from the front cover of her sketchbook to look at her while he spoke. “i started when i was ten, i think. i took it up because i wanted to do special effects makeup,” none of it is a lie — in fact, noah feels at ease while he tells her this. she would understand, having her own history with the subject. “before any of this, i was actually studying art in california. which –” a chuckle is forced out of him, then. “– totally explains why i don’t know a single thing about the wild.”

❝ i’ll be right next to you. ❞
+ @rosescoloured
UNDESERVING OF LOVE — it’s the one thought that has remained in the depths of delaney’s mind. like a deadly monster that THRIVES in the darkness of one’s mind, the blonde often found that very thought gnawing away at her soul, her heart — & it hurt like hell. most days, she was able to mask that hurt by simply doing her job, DISTRACTING. other days, she found it harder to do so, the threat of breaking down and falling apart becoming a near constant in her life. it was a feeling that she WISHED she could simply run away from, split apart from her being and abandon in the darkness with all of the rot & death that consumed the world around them.
& noah ? well, delnaey couldn’t tell if noah was ruining her plan to bury that part of her or simply run away from it all. ❝ OF COURSE, ❞ delaney smiled with a roll of her eyes. it was easy to be this way around noah — to simply smile and PRETEND like the world wasn’t shattering around them. hell, the blonde would even go as far as to say that some days, it felt like noah lau was singlehandedly building everything from the ground up. piece by piece, he would use his words to mend the WOUNDS of the broken, glue fragments together, and pull together the weight of the world until everything was back to NORMAL.
❝ keep talking to all the girls the way you do and one of these days all of us will be fighting over you. ❞ REALLY, it wasn’t difficult to fall for a guy like noah. there weren’t many like him, not many that could share the same genuine softness of a boy who wanted nothing more than to show you a reflection of just why you were worthy enough to feel LOVED. he gave delaney what she secretly YEARNED for, but could never be as bold as to put into words — ATTENTION.
her comment earns a boyish laugh out of him. oh, he’s heard that one before ... but he has yet to react to it with irritability or resentment. perhaps, it’s because he couldn’t understand why he would ever be fought over but he is well aware of how sentiments of the negative kind are not something that he is ( fully, at least ) capable of. it isn’t in his nature and he glances over at delaney from where he sits, sketchbook sprawled over his lap and tapping a pencil against it relentlessly, lips pursed. “if it makes you feel any better, there’s not that many girls that i know around boulder.” he doesn’t want to perpetuate the idea of violence ... and well, girls against other girls ( sabrina’s voice rings in his ear : ‘ mom thinks i’m fighting hyemi over some guy like, you couldn’t be any more sexist, mom. ’ ) but he’s here for delaney, and one thing he’s gotten very good at was to be there for her regardless if the thoughts of other friends come to him.
“i think you even have an advantage,” he leans back against the wall, turning back to the sketch before him. lines littering the page, messy, but noah should know that even if his reference is a beauty, that it is never really easy to start. “i don’t draw anyone else but you.” he flashes a small smile. “does that mean you automatically win?”
kcllwood·:
He takes her hand and Kelly freezes momentarily. It’s not enough to notice, she hopes, just enough that she has to adjust her mindset and remember to give his hand a slight squeeze before he pulls it away again. She smiles, warmth in her cheeks suddenly.
She likes the way he says her name. Nobody around here said it like that, so… Comfortably. More often than not, she was·“honey” or·“sweetheart” or anything bigger people could call little girls. But she wasn’t that little. She laughs a little at his teasing and nodded.·“I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing your face again. Although I hope it’s not because you’re hurt.”
he laughs at that, but he’s happy to hear that it wouldn’t be such an awful, bad thing to meeting him again. partly because he, too, wouldn’t mind seeing her more times than he would and could count but he also didn’t want to be a bother. “i don’t know,” noah shrugs coolly, “that would be the easiest and fastest way that i could get to you.” he looks at his newly bandaged hand ; sabrina always said that he was full of stupid ideas but if stupid ideas could prompt others to laugh, then he’ll gladly accept being the boy with stupid ideas. “maybe next time, i’ll dislocate my shoulder or something. it’ll be painful but,” he glances at kelly. “based on past experience, i think your smile can help ease it a bit.”
♡ ˙ * ✧ ━━ @saycrs .
“i should go.” the words are forced out of his mouth. he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t like how he says it with so little confidence, he doesn’t like how he’s willing to be reprimanded for his absence by his sister’s side again — but noah doesn’t so much as move a muscle. the thought of leaving oona so soon is worrisome ... discomfort, shame, gnawing at him painfully. “but i’m open to any more reasons not to yet,” nudging oona slightly, corners of his lips pulled in a smile. “give me your best shot.”
