Dang, it's been years since my last blogs and artworks. I'll just share some things I've been up to while I was away. College came into my life, as of now I'm midway done and I'm going to miss it.

Art-wise, mmmmm, I've been filling up a sketchbook I got around the end of 2021 and rn, it's got 2 pages left 🥹. It was my therapist, my darling, and my child. I'll miss it very much and no other sketchbook can top that. (I'll share my sketches in a series of sketchbook tours weekly I guess, to get myself some social media activity).

I've read my past blog about my insecurities towards posting art online, and I can say I've grown a bit. I have a love and hate relationship with Instagram, it's pretty finicky.

I've risen from the depths of my cave.... and the first thing that I'll do is rant xd

Is it normal to feel pressured to post on social media as an artist? Like I've wondered if there are other artists who experience the same thing I'm going through.

Particularly feeling afraid to post your art because your family and friends follow you on that particular account. Well, I know one solution is to make a new account and post without criticism of your close ones.

Damn, coming to think of it, it seems I am afraid of judgement by those I hold dear. Makes sense why I openly share my art with my colleagues in person rather than with them.

*sobs* Sad reality is that I have a small portion of people who actually keep up with my posts and like them, and they're all my family and friends. So in this case, if I were to create a new account, I'd lose my only group of people who notice my content.

I guess applying the rule of producing art, which quantity vs quality, is necessary. I am trying to achieve both quantity and quality which is great, but I also fear people's judgement on the medium I choose.

I know it doesn't matter what medium I use to create art. In my perspective, having a feef that is mostly traditional art, especially sketches, can look dull. I sense the need to do art digitally and I am not cimfortable with it yet. Hmmm it seems that I overthink + fear judgement or criticism?? I guess that's my problem.

I think my only solution is to post more, and dont give two shts about what people will say. Appreciation, accept it; hate, ignore it.

I am who I am, my drawings are MINE. I made them with my intentions, creativity, and emotions. They are a part of me.

I shall start building my confidence here. Instagram is my main fear rn, and I know its pretty barren here. I do hope it'll liven up soon.
