Dealing with grief is crazy in the sense that, I’ll never get to hear your laughter again

i hate the capitalist by rosesforyourproses
i do not know what to say,
i feel like i have been stuck for so long
in this endless loop of survival and giving,
they were right about the capitalist--
this society built on and inspired by utilitarianism--
i am only worthy if i am useful.
for a very long time i was empty
and nobody knew it;
such a curse this is, to be an adult
people still expect you to function even when you are grieving
to show up even when you have nothing,
to hide your feelings in order for it to not be a burden,
yet i showed up, didn't i? i kept on giving
and showing, and giving
until i had nothing
and was cast away
as easily
as if i was a tool and never a human.
i have a suggestion

romance is letting someone see your reading list. your search history. the books on your nightstand arranged in the exact order of your anxiety. letting them understand that yes, you read three different translations of the same poem, and yes, it matters which one, and yes, you can explain why for forty-five minutes if they'll let you. intimacy is someone staying for the explanation.
What you're saying appears to be that someone owning something and therefore deciding how much everyone gets is tyranny.
And yet again, the dystopian nightmare that you associate with socialism is already happening with capitalism. The boss owns the means of production. The boss decides how much the workers get.
