it's just frustrating how you can point out that none of the problems with AI are new and people will interpret that to mean "everything is fine and we just have to accept this new normal", rather than understanding that to mean "we need to change our thinking and tactics to address these issues more broadly and at their root causes instead of buying into AI exceptionalism, which may involve reevaluating other technology we're already alright with"
