People who grew up being told they cant be sexist, who have entire activist groups encouraging their bigotry, don't have the usual self reflection skills to clock their own behavior as sexism.
Being a man hating woman is about as far from 'empowerment' as it gets.
The strongest women that I've known in life all love men. They regard them as partners, team mates, friends, relations etc. They don't see themselves as anything but the equal of any man.
And they know that 'equal' in this case means 'of equal human value'. It doesn't mean 'the same'. In fact these women espouse 'Vive le difference!' The team work of men and women thrives on our difference.
Opposites balance - As it does throughout Nature.
Camille Paglia wisely points out that we should approach men with a mixture of appreciation and rational fear.
rational is the important word here.
Yes it's true. Men Are Dangerous.
It was our mistake to let ourselves be fooled into the belief that a good man is 'harmless'
The best of men are very dangerous. BUT what makes them good is self discipline. They have learned how to use their danger, when to use their danger, when to hold it back.
They know when it's time to be gentle and they know that their time to be dangerous is in defense of those who need to be defended.
If you meet a man who's a stranger, you don't know if he's 'harmless', 'the dangerous predator' or 'the dangerous protector'.
So you hold off from trusting too much. too soon. You give him the chance to show you who he is.
From what I've seen, the 'dangerous protector' is very happy to do this. He knows he can be trusted with our well being and he's ready to make sure that we're fully aware of it.
I honestly never get sick of younger people discovering the capacity for evil exists in all humans and then doing backflips to assign "inherently good" and "inherently evil" values to different groups of people as a result.
To that, I say: humans are more than capable of bastardry across the board, pass me the popcorn while I watch these guys melt down wrestling with that fact.
We ought to put that on a t-shirt
"Do you understand your capacity for evil?"
I'm right with this.
It opened my eyes when Dr Jordan Peterson pointed out that it's a mistake to talk about people who commit evil deeds as 'monsters'
And that's because it mistakenly draws a line between them and us.
'They're doing the evil stuff. We could never do that.'
Except that this is completely wrong.
Those people are just like us. We are just as capable of doing those things as they are.
And the only way we can guard against doing what they've done, is to know that we could, if we allowed ourselves to fall down that path.
I wanna introduce folks to one of my favourite Muppets, who is exclusive to the German version Sesame Street: Fienchen!
She is very small, soft spoken, and shy. And very very cute.
Oh she's a cutie!

All of those pop feminist academics who said that Disney Princesses's cartoonish slim waists severely destroyed the self-esteem of young girls were severely projecting and I'm not joking. What little girl pays attention to irrelevant shit like that? I'm asking an honest question here LMAO
Feminists have a worse theory of mind than literal toddlers. When my parents bought me dolls when I was younger, I didn't give a shit what they looked like, I just pretended to perform bizarre science experiments on them. It doesn't matter what a doll looks like if you're just going to submerge them in a sink full of toothpaste or rip their limbs off.
But to be a little more on point, kids don't give a fuck about looking sexy, they're kids, adults projecting that shit onto kids are suspicious as fuck.
I would sometimes make my dolls make out and undress. Even back then, I already had a dirty mind LOL. I never once cared about their waists.
Well it's a known fact that most self-esteem issues in young girls are caused by people that surround them. Parents, teachers, classmates, parents' friends, etc.
I have yet to see a story of a girl who's dealt with heavy self-esteem issues and eating disorders who wasn't bullied by either her peers or adults surrounding her, and it's usually both at the same time. It's NEVER Disney princesses or Winx fairies. If anything the worst they can do is spice up the destruction of body image that was already there.
I'll say before and i would say until the day i die, the people that surround you have a far bigger effect on what kind person you end up being than any fictional media you consume.

You expired, O Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and the whole world. (3x)
Jesus, King of Mercy, we trust in You!
Amen.
I wanted to wait until the verdict was reached before saying anything about this case. Today that happened, when Vickrum Digwa was found guilty of using his Sikh ceremonial knife to murder 18-year-old Henry Nowak. This was more than a tragedy, more than another awful crime. It was an atrocity that indicts not only the killer himself but the institutions of our society. Nowak had been stabbed five times. He was bleeding to death. Passers-by heard him say “I’m dying”. And yet he was handcuffed by the police after Digwa falsely accused him of being racially abusive. What a dystopic scene: a boy taking his last breaths being treated as a criminal on the basis of an evil lie. And all the politicians who took the knee for George Floyd when he died 4,000 miles away — Keir Starmer included — will say nothing for this lad. A boy defamed as he died, manhandled by the state, and then forgotten by his leaders. A truly damning commentary on the state of our nation. RIP Henry 🇬🇧

This is beyond a case, (i could be wrong.) this was attempted to be covered up and no one would know, straight up taking a page out of the soviet union, only they failed to do so and now the word is out.
Rest In Peace Henry. 🇬🇧
Justice will be served and no agenda will deny Justice.
Amen to this.
What I will say is that whilst our PM had to be told to acknowledge the case and the Hampshire Police made such a catastrophic error.
Our British Sikh Community came out supporting Henry Nowak. And this needs to be noticed.
The British Sikh Federation expressed condolences over the death of Henry Nowak, a British university student who was allegedly stabbed by a
Vickrum Digwa (if he actually is a Sikh) either ignored the spiritual meaning of the 'kirpan'
'not a weapon, but a duty.'
https://www.sikhism.net.in/sikhism/learn/identity/kirpan.php
Or he was ignorant of it.
Neither of these is any excuse.
And it's absolutely right that he's convicted of murder.
Cast your mind back exactly 6 years.
Moral collapse with a diversity badge pinned to its lapel
The most shocking thing about this, is how the police handled it.
No checking to see if he had been stabbed, then getting help for him. Get the medical help he needed, and only when he was on the way to recovery, check the allegations of racism.
Genuinely can’t wait to see Peeves finally on screen. You have no idea how much I have been waiting for that. He’s going to shine I just know it. I also can’t wait for the Weasley twins to tell him to give Dolores Umbridge hell in the fifth season ;) !!!
And mcgonagall telling him "it unscrews the other way!!" Im so excited, it's gonna be so fun!
Yes !!! And him messing with Filch trying to catch everyone in the secret duel in first season. All the chaos ughhh give it to me now please lol !!!
Splendid! 😃
I get why Peeves had to be left out of the movies. But that doesn't make the Peeves shaped hole any less gaping.
He's the sort of character who won't have a lot of lines. But when he does, they're scene stealers.
"Got Your Conk!"
Lord, I come to your tender heart today,
to you who have words that set my heart ablaze, to you who pour out compassion on the little ones and the poor, on those who suffer, and on all human miseries.
I desire to know you more, to contemplate you in the Gospel, to be with you and learn from you and from the charity with which you allowed yourself to be touched by all forms of poverty. You showed us the Father’s love by loving us without measure with your divine and human heart.
Grant all your children the grace of encountering you. Change, shape, and transform our plans, so that we seek only you in every circumstance: in prayer, in work, in encounters, and in our daily routine.
From this encounter, send us out on mission,
a mission of compassion for the world
in which you are the source from which all consolation flows.
Amen.
