— the moment she got a semi serious assignment on the field,
it would figure she’d find herself in this situation. some seedy
neighborhood beyond the center of wizarding london,
with no backup. she had some serious shit opinions to share
with auror jarvis when she got back to the office tomorrow.
tess may have been no stranger to addicted wizards who were far too trigger happy with a wand ( wizarding new york wasn’t exactly known for being any safer than the city as a whole ), but that wasn’t to say she wasn’t on EDGE. she had been trained for things like this — keep a cool head, don’t jump the gun. yet her brain was running a thousand miles a minute, far less confident than her big mouth that just had to open with, “bless your hearts, gentlemen. sadly, i’m not exactly interested.” yeah, she was trained, but not quite to handle so many on her own at once. dammit.
though before anything could reach a boiling point, a smooth voice cut in, a sense of danger underlying the otherwise self-assured words. tess had heard that voice before — and when her eyes landed on the other woman, she couldn’t truly say she was surprised. the second time this all but avenging angel came stepping in for her favor; tess couldn’t begin to imagine the impression of a damsel in distress that she had left in return. while the men all seemed to freeze in their place, tessa didn’t dream of relaxing, eyes flickering across the circle to ensure that no one took a step out of place. but with the regal and commanding way the dark haired witch addressed them with, something told her she had wandered into a lion’s den. the court of a queen who knew exactly what she was doing. and there was nothing more dangerous than someone who knew just the right words to say and moves to make.
the weak squeak of a yes had an apparition of an amused smile ghosting across the blonde’s lips as she watched the men wearily lower their wands, the look in their eyes displaying just how frightened the other woman made them. she was thankful, finding herself able to relax at least slightly when they ambled out, retreating back into the shifting shadows cast by the tall buildings. tessa let out a slight sigh as she lowered her own wand, though not totally relaxing. she clearly didn’t have the space to lower her guard right now. she could only hope it wasn’t visible that she was slightly shaken up.
“nothing like a pretty witch repeatedly comin’ to your aid,”
tess dared to remark. “but, ah — thank you. again.”
she didn’t know the blonde, per se. they had met once, a different yet
somewhat similar scenario ghosting across them. this woman, whose
name aya would admit to having forgotten, appeared to have a fixation
on bad decisions and troubled situations. it was all very STUPID; very
damsel-seque. that being said, this particular brunette had a love for
saving beautiful women from various different villains. it was so incredibly
FAIRYTALE with an extra side of vagina.
after receiving her ‘thanks’, she let her eyes wander over the stranger.
she didn’t even try to hide it, purposely walking closer in a slow manner
as she did so. the woman’s body appeared fit, but in the way that
screamed presentation rather than protection. she could probably run fast,
but aya wouldn’t expect her to go around throwing punches. upon reaching
a point of comfort, she let her gaze wander back upward, an unreadable smirk
now crossing her features. " i’m beginning to think you have a death wish. ”
“ or you really, REALLY wanna buy me dinner. ”
