He hopes so, wills so, even as her words elicit a similar shame from him, an urge to curl up and retreat from what he thought was definitely a lie. He was nothing… and nothing like that, either.

None of it showing on his face, he grins broadly—lying even to her, huh? He smiles as she squeezes his hand, listening to her, slightly uneasy. Can I have some? He wasn’t altogether sure what would happen if he tried to ‘eat’, only that he was unfinished, that he didn’t need to and didn’t try.『hey, youre taking me to the park! i asked you, so you should have some instead, right?』

Even if he’d been confirmed to be able to consume food, maybe he wouldn’t like to anyway. He didn’t want to risk it. Something seemed unsafe about putting that into a machine… all he was, after all.

A small, brief pause before she showed him a small smile. She doesn't know why she feels a little sad. Perhaps it is a way to pay him back? Or to make sure he has fun as well?

She's probably worried as usual.

Mentally shaking away the thoughts, she gave her counterpart a small nod as she confidently digged through her shirt pocket.

Chances of being enmeshed by a whimsical passer-by were absolutely on full bars today, it seems. Thus, he quickly removed his encased instrument and transferred it to his other side in an upright position— making quite the space for the approaching person to also rest on the wooden settee of the park. He never looked up to see his— her— full features and continued reading the coffee brochure in his hands.

But— wait a minute.        Wasn’t there some kind of flaw ; in the indifferent address of his dormant surname. [ ? ] This caused him to acknowledge the presence of the.. pastel-blunette that had kindled that speck. A tilt of the head. " Why did you call me. .Hatsune ‘-sama' ? “

Her back straightened almost instinctively; his voice caught her off guard.

"A--Ah, um..." Her eyes staring into teal orbs; feeling sudden heat to her cheeks broke from her trance to face downwards, eyes meeting pavement, her hands clasped together over her skirt. She's acting fairy stupid to such a handsome boy--

'Can I slap myself yet?!' Why, oh why, did she think that? Does this boy and Miku have a lot more in common then she let on? Miku is beautiful, no question about it. But if this boy is somehow Miku, then does he have her beauty too?

"I apologize in advance, b--but aren't you..." her voice trailed off. How can she say this without sounding stupid? Anything would sound stupid at this point! "Um-- you look a lot like Hatsune Miku so I assumed... Ah-- I-- I didn't mean to sound rude but-- um..." She can't save herself. She already has dug her grave. Is there a way to dig a whole in cement?

"I--I'm sorry, I probably made this awkward for you..." 'Even my apology sounds awkward enough as it is!!'

He gives her a thumbs up as an 'OK', knowing she would know what he meant, shifting his phone to his free hand as she takes his. Warm. Ring was warm, warmer than he was—he guessed she was more developed, huh? Closer to release, closer to that dream, the one that seemed so blurry and distant now. The one that flickered and shattered and dissipated as he tried to look closer.

Maybe it was harder for her. He thinks about it, sometimes. How could he be too upset? He had hardly gotten far enough to begin dreaming. Ring must have been able to taste it. Lui was sure the opposite argument must’ve run in her head, more than once. 

Maybe we’re both the same.

『thats a big dream, huh』, he types without thinking. New York was a big place, after all, for those who had made it. Some part of him hurts, a part of him that was already putting to rest a dream he’d never even had. Alright, Ring. A little, shy glance to the left, a pink blush from embarrassment from reading text on a screen. She doesn't know why -- maybe because she wasn't expecting 'beautiful' and her being in the same sentence. This was rather silly, so she attempted to hide her embarrassment with a soft laugh, looking back at him.

"How about... 'dashing'? The Dashing Lui Hibiki! Or handsome; those would fit you."

This is perhaps a random thought, but she feels safe, holding Lui's hand like this. She let her eyes look up, seeing the puffy white clouds pass by. Then without thought, her eyes went back on Lui. She blinked, but she widened her smile and gave him a gentle squeeze with her hand clasped onto his.

"Ah," Soft music floated in the air and into Ring's ears. She quickly found the source to the sound; an ice-cream truck parked in front of the park, children lining up to have a tasty treat.

"So it was an ice-cream truck..." she mumbled to herself. In swift movements she looked at her counterpart with her usual warm smile.

"Ne, Lui-kun, do you want some? It'll be my treat to you for taking me to the park."

"K-Kagamine… s-s-s-s-s-sama?!" I never thought I’d hear that in my life! W-what’s going on? Was it April Fools? He was missing something, there was no way he wasn’t! Len-chan was heard more often than that! Urk… Rin is definitely behind this! Quivering slightly, he offers a shy, nervous smile. "I-I think you have the wrong person, um… onee-sama."

He tugs at the sleeves of his shirt, blinking nervously, eyes flickering up to the sky—yes, that’s right. He smiles a little more, grasping at that chance at normal conversation with a warm chuckle. "I-it is nice weather, you’re right! I don’t mind it being hot, when you can have slushies and ice cream…" Rocking gently on the balls of his feet, he falls into quiet, happy reminiscence.

In truth, he was more of a hot chocolate and marshmallows kind of person, but… there were times for summer, and summer was, shockingly, one of them.

Onee.... sama...?! She can feel the heat off her own cheeks as she stared at the blond. I-I don't deserve to be called that!

"Y--Yes, I have to agree...!" Oh Lord, she's just a mess. She shyly stared at the pavement, more towards her shoes. It took all of her courage to look at the blond again, her soft, red blush softly radiating off her cheeks.

"W--Wrong person? Aren't you Kagamine Len?" She looked at him curious now. "Or, am I wrong, Kagamine-sama?"

A soft boom was suddenly heard and Ring flinched. It was hard to admit, but she isn't a fan of thunderstorms. 'Lui-kun... I wish you were here...'

The sound of the door opening startled her and she hold back in a gasp. She smiled sheepishly towards them.

"Ah, it's raining rather bad, isn't it?" At least she isn't alone anymore.
