i am jealous of when dnd parties all sleep in the same bed or room or cave or home. when they are all best friends and just sleeping and watching over each other and staying warm together and ! there is such intimacy in shared sleep and they get to do that while they adventure. they spend their days in so much danger but their nights in the comfort of one another, and through this they share their love !! i am so jealous

I just wanna give thanks to Brian Murphy for always having queer rep in his campaigns effortlessly. He never makes a big deal and has varied rep, including nonbinary characters who use they/them pronouns with no questions asked or even a big fuss. Murph always gives us such great npcs and i just love how effortlessly inclusive naddpod is

Bahumia really did something special with the concept of home and roots and how… complicated they can be? Hardwon Surefoot, Bastard of the Mountain, the son of humans raised by dwarves. “When I left Irondeep, I didn’t know where I fit in” and “looks like a dwarf to me” at odds with each other—his dwarvenness is something he’s claimed for himself, fiercely (the braids, the topknot), he proves himself to his people (the Godshammer) a million times over, he is a dwarf—but he still doesn’t know where he fits among them. All of a sudden, he’s connecting to the human side of himself for the first time in his life. He saves his mother, he meets his father. He takes the name “Elias Stormborn” for his own. Then, he dies. He’s different when he comes back but it doesn’t… feel wrong? He’s never felt as welcome and secure at he did at the Crick, by Cobb’s side, with his forehead pressed to Moonshine’s. He’s never known anyone like he knows Moonshine. “This is how I see myself,” he says, “I’ve always been half elf, ever since I met you.” And even after—finally—being welcomed by dwarvenkind with open arms, he still chooses the Crick. He takes all his cobbled pieces (dwarf, human, elf), he holds them tight within himself, and he goes home.
