   More so then a man about to hang himself, Komaeda wasn't counting on him to suddenly lose his balance and fall to the ground. 

  “WHAT IF I HAD DIED?!”

   "Wasn't that... the point?" What did he think would happen if he climbed a tree and threw himself from a noose? He'd become a fairy or something and fly off into the sparkling sky? When the man fell from the tree, Komaeda found himself clearing an area to avoid becoming a victim himself. "If you don't want to die; don't climb trees and try to hang yourself.    The weather forecast has told of a slight chance of precipitation but Komaeda headed out of the Hotel Mariposa without an umbrella. He wasn't just betting on his luck - the chances of rain were just far too low. Besides it was a beautiful day and the snow haired male fancied himself a stroll through the park. The park was empty as most children were in school at this time so Komaeda didn't have to worry about it being filled with unpleasant noise.

   No, beyond unpleasant noise was just a sight that was far too unpleasant. It went beyond unpleasant. It was just plain unsettling. A man appeared moments later screaming about something which jerked the male into an upright seated position since he'd been laying under a tree and enjoying the sun and breeze. The male narrowed his eyes to get a better look and before long the dark haired man was brandishing a noose and fixating it to a tree branch. 

   "What on Earth..." Komaeda didn't actually believe that someone was seriously going to hang themselves from a tree in a park on such a fine day. This was someone practicing from a play, he reasoned. If this was the case then the man was a horrible actor. The emotion in his words as he spoke calmly were lacking, like he were just reciting lines from a script without any depth to them. 

   'What a horrible act..' Komaeda stood up and dusted the blades of grass from his coat and moved to stand beneath the occupied tree branch. "Excuse me.." He swallowed a lump in his throat as he thought about how best to word this. "Is this.." He made an encompassing motion with his hands to indicate the noose, the man, and the branch and continued on. ".. an act? For a play, I mean."

   Komaeda waited patiently for confirmation. He didn't want to think he'd gotten mixed up in an actual suicide attempt. He slipped his hands into his pockets and squinted up at the man quizzically.

"Hmm..Yeah, I guess so." Ryuuko laughed, running a hand through her hair. "Don’t they say Italy’s supposed to be like super romantic or something?" The landmarks were pretty famous. She did remember the lessons on the Renaissance though. Mostly because it was kind of hilarious to know some of the most famous artists lent their names to cartoon turtles. That had really been the only entertaining thing. "I actually hadn’t heard of Prava until my dad’s letter." She added. "But it seems to draw people to it well enough."

Her eyebrow twitched and she looked away with a scoff, mumbling a “doubt it” under her breath. Then he had to go and say that. Yet again, her face turned bright red. She sputtered in shock for a moment as she whipped her head around to stare at him. “C-charming? Cute?” She repeated. Never words she thought would describe her. Not by a long shot.

   Komaeda chuckled. "Feels like only the European countries are labeled as romantic, doesn't it? I guess it shouldn't come as any surprise that this place is the same." He did have to wonder what was the point of blindly fingering Italy on the map as a travel destination if he was only going to end up in Prava in the end. Luck was a strange thing.

   He brushed off the comment like it wasn't any big deal. He was used to people getting mad at him although he didn't believe that the female was angry with him per se. Just flustered. 

   Ryuuko still didn't appear convinced. It was understandable. She was fighting her own demons it seemed and Komaeda was happy to help her fight them. "Mm, that's true. He could have. I guess there's no way to tell for sure. But.." He raised his arms up. "I think it's important to hope for the good things. As long as you hope and don't give up on finding the truth.. I'm sure someday something good will happen!" 

   "And don't worry about a thing, Matoi-San. If you want I'd gladly offer up my luck if it would help you out. Anytime. Just let me know." His words were as friendly as ever but there was a strange look to his eyes as he said all of this. Whether Ryuuko had been paying attention to his strange change in demeanor it was quickly gone as they reached their destination.

  Komaeda took a good long whiff of the aroma and smiled softly. "We finally made it, but.. It looks a little packed." A little was a huge understatement. The line was so long it went out the door and could be seen as they rounded a corner. "Hm.. What do you want to do, Matoi-san? Would you like to wait? I don't mind waiting if it's what you want."

Ryouta’s face burned a little, realizing that the other male wasn’t incompetent. Not that he thought he was stupid or something. He was just making sure to make his point across clearly; or as clearly as he could. But apparently, that was unnecessary. The blonde heaved a sigh and smiled, a little bashful.

The Fountain of Fate? He furrowed his brows, trying to remember. He recalled someone uttering something resembling that. “Y-yeah. That fountain.” He nodded, slightly uncertain. His composure was shaken and he tried to shook himself out of it. Literally. His head moved side to side for a couple of times before he planted his gaze on the other and beamed, lips stretched into a wide smile. “Thank you!” He exclaimed, feeling thankful that at least someone was entertaining his strange attitude. Well, perhaps not strange? After all, he was new here. It was only right to inquire about things he didn’t know about.

Watching the boy gather his things, Ryouta adjusted his glasses and beanie again, wiggling his nose before settling, shoving his hands inside the front pockets of his jeans. “Oh. Ah!” He muttered, blinking and following the other quickly who began walking ahead of him. He shuffled and took long strides, successfully matching the boy’s steps just in time to hear his question. “Too?” Confused amber eyes glanced at the boy, lips parting just slightly. “Does that mean you’re a tourist too?” He questioned before feeling stupid because obviously, since the other informed him already. “Oops. I mean! Yes! A tourist too. That’s why I’m—” He flailed his hands, gesturing around. “Clueless. Where are you from?”

   Komaeda raised a brow at the blonde’s confusion for the fountain’s name. Sure, Komaeda hadn’t known what it was called until he checked the map just then but he got the feeling this tourist was a little different from him. Sort of like this tourist ended up where he wanted to go unlike Komaeda, so he was a little confused that the other knew of the fountain but not it’s name. “Are you.. sure?” He decided to double check just in case even though they were already heading off in the direction.

   The white haired male waved a hand as if to say ‘Don’t mention it’ and smiled at him - though not with the same intensity. ‘Wow, what a smile.’ It was almost practiced and picturesque. That coupled with the feeling that Komaeda had seen him somewhere before was dredging up some kind of memory that was close yet far away. Had they met somewhere before? He stared thoughtfully at the blonde momentarily before offering up one of his own smiles and a chuckle.

   "Un. Too. I’m something of a tourist as well. But I’ve been here for a while now so I feel like I’ve gotten the hang of where most things are.” Unfortunately, Komaeda wasn’t too interested in most of the tourist attractions so his handle on where famous landmarks were left something to be desired. He didn’t bat an eye at the blonde’s question; instead he smiled wider to show it was fine.

   "I'm from Japan. But you'll come to find there's a lot of Japanese here. But most of them speak English fairly well so no worries about communication.” He looked up at the blue sky as he sauntered through the district and onwards towards the fountain. Hm, he could have sworn it wasn't too far. In fact, he was positive he hadn't strayed too far from it when he sat down. Then again the fountain was sort of located in an off place. Almost like it was hidden.

   Deciding it would be best to collect his thoughts, Komaeda’s walk slowed as he looked back at the blonde. “What about you? Where are you from?” He looked away and peered into an alley that they’d approached and wagged a finger to indicate they should enter. His confidence was diminishing as he hoped he wouldn’t get the stranger - or rather - the both of them lost.
