entry 3 - treadmill time :3

i haven’t really been able to do much these past few days in terms of astral training, but i have been keeping consistent with things in the physical!

i’m glad for that. upping my endurance will help with a lot of stuff. patrols, cross country in the fall, pacer tests… i also just really like running.

if i can do 20 minutes on the treadmill while watching a show i can surely do 20 minutes on the trail while music plays in my head :)

sometimes i stop at 15, but then i do an incline walk to make up for it. though the next time i do that i’m gonna do it at a lower level- i had it on 10 and upped the level for the last 3 minutes of the show i was watching, and i was literally holding on to the bars in front of me to not get wheeled off 😭 idk why i continued on that height

on another note, i need to find a good rubber track so i can do some speed training.

i miss my 200 meter dash :( i wasn’t even able to do it at finals this year since i was sick

If you're more active on the discord side of the community, then you might be aware of the amount of plagiarism going on. A lot of people, including me, have had their concepts or informational posts taken and reposted elsewhere without credits. I feel like we as a community are beginning to lose the plot. Plagiarism is not and never will be okay. You should always, no matter what, ask permission from someone before using their work in any capacity and give proper credit to them afterwards. You are literally taught in school that plagiarism is very serious, and it's for a reason. Plagiarism is literally stealing, and right now people don't seem to be taking this seriously.

Me and many others have had their concepts and information stolen without credit and without permission. It's really frustrating and I cannot reiterate enough that plagiarism is serious. You can literally get kicked out of universities for it. Just because this is in the magic community does not make it any better. Plagiarism is never okay, and if you had your hard work stolen and claimed by someone else you'd be pissed as well. I'm struggling to even write this post properly without coming off as mean, but after having my stuff stolen multiple times and seeing my friends have their stuff stolen it hits a boiling point.

to everyone in the community, no matter your experience level or how long you've been in it, learn to write your own things and information. stealing is lazy and rude, and if you're asked to take it down, listen. don't fight and get snappy, take it down. you don't have the right to keep it up when it isn't your work. do better.

entry 2 - i lied :p at least i wasn’t half asleep this time!

Kind of a short post this time. I tried bilocation again. (before i was supposed to go to bed… again…) It was interesting.

Again I started out in a void-ish room, I was kind of just floating. Couldn’t hear much, just a breeze. 

The walls (and everything else, aside from the books) were drawn in white chalk, sort of chicken-scratch lines.

Couldn’t feel the floor, but after that i knew something was under me.

I looked to my right, and there was a bookshelf. I picked out a book, and I could hear the pages flipping- but I couldn’t really feel it this time. That disappointed me :( as well as the fact that it was blank. 

I looked to my left again and there was a nice sofa to rest my head on. I went and did just that for a minute- before turning over and accidentally falling through the void, into nothingness. Suppose I forgot the floor was there.

Conclusion: I was out of focus tonight, moreso than last night. I dunno if it’s the unconventional time or location, but i guess that gives me more variables to test out 🤷

My conclusion was pretty right, for the most part. There’s so much itty bits of sound that leaks through the walls- whether it’s my mom watching a show in the other room or my dad playing a video game downstairs.

Sitting upright rather than laying down helped a lot though. At least I have that. The next time I go on a run, i’m gonna test something out. It’s been cooling down a bit where I live, so that’ll help.

entry 1 - bilocation is hard :(

So tonight, at 1-ish in the morning, (don’t judge lol, it’s summer and I couldn’t sleep anyways) i tried my first attempt at bilocation. I feel like i’m making a decent progress but i’m a little wary at the same time.

The first room I was in was reminiscent of the primary area of Blackspace - y’know, from Omori- except there was literally nothing there except for 4 walls and a single door. I was able to move my head a bit, to look around, but nothing other than that. 

I got a bit overwhelmed then, and the scenery sort of changed? I could feel cold tile on the floor. 

There were no walls now, just void and a cold, white tile floor. Marble or quartz I think, it wasn’t really speckled though. 

I was able to push myself up and walk a few steps. It was satisfying to hear the clack of my shoes on the floor, though I couldn’t see myself..? The only senses I had used in that entire sesh were sight and sound. A little bit of feeling.

Conclusion: I need to do some more research, experiments, both in the astral and physical. Maybe go out on a run, see what I can see. Call out to someone. I dunno, but right now I know I need to get some sleep.

yeah i DID need to get some sleep lol 😭

i felt very out of it that night. like my head hurt and stuff. mostly overwhelmed & a little tired, though it was kinda calming.

i really couldn’t sleep that night, insomnia was kicking my ass -_- the bilocation attempt helped, oddly enough? idk if that’s good or bad.

anyways- the next time i try, it’ll be in a place other than my bedroom.
