"Doctor Legundo, the Healer of the town." He bowed gracefully. "It's not a town most would wish to live in at the moment. Care to tell a doctor why you're in the town?" He replied with the same tone and a smile.
Seeking escape, you know. Big girl, big city. One of us had to change. Just turned out that I was the only one willing.
Somehow, she now has a glass of white wine in her hand. She takes a sip.
And you, doctor? What brought you all the way out here? Or what keeps you, I suppose.
"I came out to help people. I can't leave until I complete that quest." He sighed, chuckling slightly. "And the beacons have bound my soul here, which is certainly fun..."

The way she says noble almost sounds like some kind of in-joke he isn't a part of.
But what's this about beacons and souls? Sounds awful.
"It is quite, but we're trying to handle it." Legundo smiled, before raising his eyebrows. "You haven't told me your name."

Her eyes get a mischievous glint.
Most people only get to call me Lady, but if you're nice, I'll let you call me Ashley.
And you, my dear doctor? Do you have a name?
"Just Legundo, Legs if you're close." he smiled. This was a person he could joke with and not risk any critique about himself, he could tell.
What a name! And how fitting. Lose the leg save the body and all.
She sings the last bit and laughs at her own joke like it's the funniest thing she's heard.
"If it's what it takes." Legs chuckled, a little wary that it was the first thing Ashley had said when he had said his name but, alas, no hard feelings, it's a party.
I assume this isn't your usual scene, then? Mr. I'm going to hang out in the corner.
What brings you out tonight?
"There's peace between the sides, I've come to mingle." Legs said, a half truth with a deeper meaning of 'mingle'.

She grins, watching Legundo over the rim of her glass. She'd seen him watching another partygoer from across the room earlier.
Are you sure about that gorgeous? Because the way your eyes keep jumping to the other side of the room say otherwise.
Legs' face flushed. "I'm on defensive, I'm wary we're in the same room as the people who want to kill us. Despite the peace, one can never be too wary."
Is that so?
She nods, taking in that there's apparently some kind of war in this tiny excuse for a town.
So, how dangerous is the pretty one in black and orange? The one you can't stop watching.
"Kill count of about 2799, potentially more based on recent events. He could rip apart everyone in this room if he wanted to, but he won't." Legs sighed. "He's got a lot of anger, that one, he just internalises it too much, sees himself as a monster."
Ashley deliberately licks her lips before taking another drink, leaning abck as if analysing him from across the room.
That's kind of hot.
She turns to Legundo.
Do you know if he's available?
"No, he isn't." Legs said a little too quickly, immediately on the defensive. "And your definition of hot worries me, my friend."
Ashley frowns a little, face hurt.
What's wrong with enjoying the idea of someone who can handle themselves in a fight?
She grins again, a little unhinged this time.
And can you really say no to a man covered in blood, doctor?
"Yes, yes you can. Blood is not as appealing as you think it is." Legs answered. "When you've seen as many as I have, it quickly loses its... appeal."
She shrugs.
Your loss, I suppose. My win, though.
She finishes her drink in one quick mouthful.
Would you introduce me? I think we could get along quite well.
There's a predatory look in her eyes that scares legundo a bit.
"I think he's busy." Legs lied. Owen didn't look busy in the slightest, but he would be damned if he let another person try and flirt with him. "Besides, you have a conversation going right now, it would be rude to leave someone without entertaining them a little longer."

Her hand jumps to her chest, eyes wide and apologetic, mouth dropped open in shock.
I didn't realise you were so interested, Legs.

She batts her eyes, looking up at him through her lashes.
"Flatter yourself all you want, I'm only looking out for you." Classic doctor. "Plus, you can hold a conversation better than most I know. You seem well spoken."
She laughs, dropping the act of interest quickly.
Growing up in the capital will do that to a lady I'm afraid. Although military training does its best, too...
She trails off. There's a new drink in her hand, this one red.
"Military training does no help to anyone." Legs picked up where she left off, voice conveying the irritation his face didn't show. "It takes innocents and makes monsters."
She laughs to herself again, another joke he isn't a part of.
They certainly tried. Obviously it didn't stick.
She gestures to herself. She portrays a delicate elegance well, but to a trained eye, the way she holds herself and the muscle that clings to her is all too telling.
"For you, maybe." He didn't want to draw attention to her underlying similarity to him. "I've seen better people than you go to the front lines then die. Their moving body came back, but they lost themselves there. I hope it didn't do the same to you."
Ashley looks shocked but recovers quickly.

"To new beginnings." Legs echoed, raising his own glass to meet hers. "Let's hope the past won't haunt us forever and we can finally outrun what we left behind." He smiled.

"Doctor Legundo, the Healer of the town." He bowed gracefully. "It's not a town most would wish to live in at the moment. Care to tell a doctor why you're in the town?" He replied with the same tone and a smile.
Seeking escape, you know. Big girl, big city. One of us had to change. Just turned out that I was the only one willing.
Somehow, she now has a glass of white wine in her hand. She takes a sip.
And you, doctor? What brought you all the way out here? Or what keeps you, I suppose.
"I came out to help people. I can't leave until I complete that quest." He sighed, chuckling slightly. "And the beacons have bound my soul here, which is certainly fun..."

The way she says noble almost sounds like some kind of in-joke he isn't a part of.
But what's this about beacons and souls? Sounds awful.
"It is quite, but we're trying to handle it." Legundo smiled, before raising his eyebrows. "You haven't told me your name."

Her eyes get a mischievous glint.
Most people only get to call me Lady, but if you're nice, I'll let you call me Ashley.
And you, my dear doctor? Do you have a name?
"Just Legundo, Legs if you're close." he smiled. This was a person he could joke with and not risk any critique about himself, he could tell.

She sings the last bit and laughs at her own joke like it's the funniest thing she's heard.
"If it's what it takes." Legs chuckled, a little wary that it was the first thing Ashley had said when he had said his name but, alas, no hard feelings, it's a party.

"There's peace between the sides, I've come to mingle." Legs said, a half truth with a deeper meaning of 'mingle'.

Legs' face flushed. "I'm on defensive, I'm wary we're in the same room as the people who want to kill us. Despite the peace, one can never be too wary."

She nods, taking in that there's apparently some kind of war in this tiny excuse for a town.
So, how dangerous is the pretty one in black and orange? The one you can't stop watching.
"Kill count of about 2799, potentially more based on recent events. He could rip apart everyone in this room if he wanted to, but he won't." Legs sighed. "He's got a lot of anger, that one, he just internalises it too much, sees himself as a monster."
Ashley deliberately licks her lips before taking another drink, leaning abck as if analysing him from across the room.
That's kind of hot.
She turns to Legundo.
Do you know if he's available?
"No, he isn't." Legs said a little too quickly, immediately on the defensive. "And your definition of hot worries me, my friend."
Ashley frowns a little, face hurt.
What's wrong with enjoying the idea of someone who can handle themselves in a fight?

And can you really say no to a man covered in blood, doctor?
"Yes, yes you can. Blood is not as appealing as you think it is." Legs answered. "When you've seen as many as I have, it quickly loses its... appeal."
She shrugs.

There's a predatory look in her eyes that scares legundo a bit.
"I think he's busy." Legs lied. Owen didn't look busy in the slightest, but he would be damned if he let another person try and flirt with him. "Besides, you have a conversation going right now, it would be rude to leave someone without entertaining them a little longer."

Her hand jumps to her chest, eyes wide and apologetic, mouth dropped open in shock.

She batts her eyes, looking up at him through her lashes.
"Flatter yourself all you want, I'm only looking out for you." Classic doctor. "Plus, you can hold a conversation better than most I know. You seem well spoken."
