I don’t know if people have talked about it already but doesn’t the whole

Okay but being aroace and unattractive is actually pretty great cause you don’t have to worry about turning other people down

This is from a book called Muistojenlukija by Elina Rouhiainen (I don’t think it has been translated to english so I’ll try to translate this part:)

  Kiuru had no idea what that meant, so she asked her own question: “Do you like him?”

I almost cried from happiness when I saw this, because I’m used to having to search for aro representation, but this was in a book I just randomly picked. A n d it’s from a finnish author and I rarely see anything about aros in finnish.

We made notebooks in school so of course i had to make some pride ones for myself!

I make way too many jokes about being as straight as my hair (I have curly hair)

I think it’s pretty funny that i’m aroace and also the most dirty minded of our friend group

Sooo we talked about sexualities in a class and the teacher made it sound like asexuality is a phase,,

The example the teacher used was: an allosexual was attracted to others at first, but when they were busy with work they weren’t attracted to anyone and later got interested again

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t aromantic, that I could feel the oh so wonderful feeling of falling in love.

The only time i’ve heard or seen the word asexual in real life was in school (which is great but the explanation was a bit incorrect)

And the word aromantic i have never heard or seen in real life

Me, not knowing what aroace is: I am so very straight. That boy is cute, I probably have a crush on him. Yes I must be straight. But I can’t even imagine myself kissing anyone.. Mm, straight. Also I’m repulsed by sex.. Yeah, straight as a circle!

Okay so yesterday when I hung out with friends one of them remembered I’m aroace and asked if it’s okay for them to talk about boys <3
