A cold sunday in the forest

Wednesday 24th February 2016. Chevreuse and Beyond. The road was damp, and the air was crisp and cold. It was untouched for the riders to embrace and ride it hard. Road workers commenced by the roadside and the surface was broken, preventing them to race through. They meandered through the broken surface with mud and gravel flicking everywhere. Soon they were faced with an 'urban climb' an avenue of cars and apartment blocks on either side - but they danced up the street with their breathes resembling smoke from a steam train. It took them a while to fight through the urban traffic but soon they were into the open lands and ride the open roads where nothing was in sight; just four riders racing the landscape.
