getting settled from the flight had been easy, getting ready to head out into a city she loved, now that was the hard part. her body was telling her she needed to rest, needed to take a break from sight seeing and maybe sleep but she was fighting it. as she walked out of the hotel she sighed at the cool air hitting her when she spotted the male waving back before walking over to wear he stood, “i mean i plan on having fun shortly if my mind decides to wake up and let me be wide awake for being a tourist.” she answered before she noticed his look, “you having fun or?”
“Nope,” he replied without pause, hopping down from the wall and brushing off the seat of his pants. There was no need to conceal his true feelings, not when he couldn’t maintain the act for long anyway, so honesty was going to prevail. “But I wanna feel slightly better… might do some of that sight-seeing with you. I haven’t done that yet, even if… I’ve been to Paris countless times before. It’ll be more fun with someone else.”
scvercigns:
there were few things angelique HATED more than waiting for somebody. she would usually avoid this by procrastinating until she makes sure the other person is ready to go, then forcing them to wait for her to do her hair & make-up and to choose her outfit for the day. however, for some reason, athena was late and she was stuck here. she noticed another person in the room but she decided not to say a word. she didn’t expect him to start a conversation. “ do i look like i’m having fun? ”
Irritation flashed through him so fast that it startled Roux. He’d been on edge all evening, and then to be faced with such rudeness when he was trying to be polite and friendly drove him fucking insane. Who did this woman think she was? There was no need to take her shitty attitude out on him—it wasn’t exactly his fault that her mood was sour. “Excuse the fuck outta me… you could just have a resting bitch face with a heart leaping and bounding in your chest, I don’t know, do I?!” Huffing an aggravated sigh, Roux averted his eyes from hers and worried at his lower lip. Despite her brusque remark, the dancer couldn’t help but feel bad immediately for his curtness.
jayxchoi:
Jay looked at the other with a puzzled look but shrugged it off. “Alright then” he said with a simple eye roll and sighed as he leaned down and rest his hands on the concrete. “Just try to doze off looking at something else than a person. It’s fucking creepy” He said simply. He wasn’t pissed today but he was annoyed. He would never get some time alone, right?
“I was lost in thought, no dozing off,” Roux murmured, casting his gaze towards his bare feet, toes bearing the scars of years of ballet. It was disconcerting to be spoken to in such a way, especially by a stranger, and it irked him, whether he wanted to admit it or not. It took a lot to get under Roux’s skin, and somehow this man was managing it. “No need to talk to me like that…”
scvndvl:
his brows furrowed slightly as the other began to explain the situation he was in. though, his expression softened again as he continued on and oliver got more of the story. the mention of roux’s son was enough to make a small appear on his face. “well, you’ve got me now. maybe now time will go by a bit faster and you won’t be checking your phone every five seconds,” he chuckled. “you’ve got a son?” he asked, though it was more of a rhetorical question as he already had the answer. “what’s his name? if you don’t mind me asking. i tend to ask a lot of questions so feel free to shut me up whenever you start to get annoyed. i do prefer to be shut up with a kiss though,” he teased, grinning at him. “did they tell you when they would be calling? or it this just a waiting game?”
Whether Oliver’s goal was to make Roux smile or not, was neither here nor there, because he achieved it. His remark brought a smile unbidden to the dancers' lips, his dark gaze drifting to the others while he bobbed his head lightly in agreement. “True. I have you now, so maybe I can avoid staring at my phone so much,” he mused, tucking said phone into his pocket to ignore the device until it decided to ring. It was pointless to stare at it; a watched pot never boiled. “Yeah, he’s three years old and his name is Romeo. His mother has him right now though, and she has had for weeks.” The latter remark about silencing Oliver with a kiss coaxed a breathy chuckle from Roux’s lips and he wagged a finger teasingly in the other males face, narrowing his eyes playfully and almost singing his next comment. “Not sure your boyfriend would appreciate that. And it’s a waiting game, so… fancy a drink?”

getting settled from the flight had been easy, getting ready to head out into a city she loved, now that was the hard part. her body was telling her she needed to rest, needed to take a break from sight seeing and maybe sleep but she was fighting it. as she walked out of the hotel she sighed at the cool air hitting her when she spotted the male waving back before walking over to wear he stood, “i mean i plan on having fun shortly if my mind decides to wake up and let me be wide awake for being a tourist.” she answered before she noticed his look, “you having fun or?”
The response garnered wasn’t unexpected, Roux had been suffering from a fair amount of jetlag himself as of late, but coupled with alcohol consumption that’d make an alcoholic green in the gills, he was positively exhausted. The added stress only made traversing a day all the more difficult. The ghost of a smile tugging at his lips revealed its wariness and Roux dropped the last of any pretense he’d been clinging onto, breathing a light sigh and lifting both shoulders in a small shrug. “No, not today. I’m kinda… shattered, you know? Like, even my bones are aching and I just wanna be done with this day.”
valeriecvstillo:
“Did — did you just successfully compare 90-Day Fianceé to a car crash? Very poetic. The next Hemingway.” An incredulous laugh, before she clapped her hands excitedly upon guessing a show he enjoyed. “Just call me Sherlock. But with your expertise, I’ll have you judge all my dresses when I get married. It’ll be my wedding gift, so you can’t say no.” A slight lift in shoulders was quick to answer his question. “I… I don’t know. Seems a bit hard to do your leaps in something like that, doesn’t it?” An amused brow quirked at the male, as a small laugh stifled back at a slightly unpleasant thought. “Might bump ya head.” Half a smile tugged at painted lips upon the statement. She then prepared herself to dash towards the gazebo; of course, efforts were cut short when a gentle hand wrapped her elbow and towering frame brought her to a halt.
Roux’s offer was quick to put a knot in the back of her throat. Any time someone was persistent when she was evidently upset did that. Not out of discomfort, but because she had to voice her problems instead of running away from them. But the amount of trust she had in Roux was insurmountable by any doubts that may creep to the back of her mind. “I just got in a fight,” with Kasey, she left out. Her voice began to trail with disappointment. Her mother raised her better than this. What was she doing, meddling with other people’s relationships with each other? Valerie was also aware of the friendship Roux had with the girl, having once walking past the two in each other’s company on her way out of the hotel. Even mentioning Cam’s name seemed like a risky move in this instance. “Her boyfriend was acting… very much not like himself. And I wanted to help him. He looked scared, Roux. Terrified…talking nonsense. But his girlfriend didn’t seem to really…” voice trails off in fear that she was being too judgmental out of context, “…care.” A closed-mouth sigh followed, foot running sideways in the sand much like a windshield-wiper. “So naturally, I went up to her. I was a little angry, but. I guess it wasn’t my place. I just didn’t think I needed to be ‘dating him’ to care.”
Roux had been friends with Valerie long enough to know when a delay tactic was in place, or if it was a case of flat out avoidance. She’d really suck at poker. The thought brought a smile to his lips, but it was barely discernible, the other would really have to study his features to see it. His fingers slid away from her elbow the second Valerie halted her steps, not wanting to restrict her movements if she really did choose to dash. He would always offer her an out. “We’ll be okay. I can dance without leaping and bounding, you know?” he teased right back, head cocked and the ghost of a smile playing on his lips. The pair could dance without bumping into anything—at least he hoped so anyway, he’d obtained enough injuries over the last few months to last him a lifetime.
The confession falling from her lips, despondent and melancholy, worried Roux. He hadn’t truly seen his friend look so down before, not for the entire time they’d been on the trip together. “You got in a fight?” he asked, stunned by the quiet admittance and it showed on his face too, lips drew into a frown with the furrow dipping his brow. Valerie wasn’t the type to start trouble, she must have been deeply concerned for the other girl's boyfriend if it caused an argument. Reaching to touch his companions forearm lightly, Roux dipped his chin in a bid to meet Valerie’s eyes. “Hey… is there something more to this than you’re letting on? Because… it kinda sounds to me like… you’re very close to this boyfriend. Not that I’m saying you’re anything with him,” he quickly added, both hands held up to dissuade any vexation in case his friend misunderstood, which wouldn’t be surprising given his delivery. Inwardly berating himself, Roux rolled his eyes and huffed a sigh, hands stuffing into his pockets for lack of anything better to do with them. “What I mean is… you care a lot about this guy, right? He’s not just… someone to you. He’s someone you’d protect, which… I’m assuming worries you since his girlfriend couldn’t seem to care less about him. Does… are you worried about their relationship and if he’s okay with her?”
tcydcnielsx:
she gave a small nod keeping her eyes straight ahead, though she could feel his eyes on her. she needed to try, maybe it was the only way she would enjoy paris. after a long second she nodded again this time looking over at the male beside her, “coffee is good, we can go get coffee.” she spoke softly, reminding herself to stay calm. she had no reason to hold a grudge against him anymore. letting her legs now fall out in front of her she sighed, “and a baguette sounds good too, maybe crepes? that’s a french thing right?” she questioned as she knotted her fingers together. internally every part of her was yelling at her to get up and run not to talk to roux but she had to, she had to move on from what had happened and the first part of that was trying to fix things with roux. letting her head fall back against the wall she let it fall to the side a bit, “what has you looking for an out?” she questioned now.
An unconscious smile quirked his lips and Roux nodded, stuffing his phone into his pocket then sliding down off the wall to stand. “Crepes are, yeah. As far as I’m aware anyway. I grew up eating them, but just as an occasional treat since they’re fattening. Now, I kinda don’t care that they’ll make my ass bigger than Kim K’s.” A snicker slipped from his throat as Roux held a hand out to Taylor, offering silently to help ease her down from the edge of the wall. It was a chivalrous move, and one made to help assuage some of the tension between them. “I’m waiting for a phone call,” he answered right away, trying to be open and honest with the woman he had to admit he could be genuinely terrified of at times. Her icy blue eyes rarely thawed when falling upon his dark, obsidian orbs. “My step-dad is trying to set up a meeting with my son.”
tcydcnielsx:
there was a slight moment of hesitation, was she ready to even try and be civil? was she in the right head space? even she couldn’t answer that for herself but there was nothing else to lose at this point. she took a moment longer before giving a small nod as she made her way to where he was sat, sliding down the wall she sat beside him, enough room for another to join them, her knees staying pulled up to her chest. she couldn’t sit directly next to him without wanting to break and she couldn’t avoid him no matter how hard she tried, so she knew she had to be civil for the one they both lost. “i mean sure.. going to eat or something sounds… good?” she answered with a nod of her head looking out in front of her for a while too afraid to look at him, sure she was always rude to him before, and she felt horrible but it came with her own emotions now she thought about if everything was different would things be different now, “i mean unless your busy of course you don’t have to invite me anywhere i could just stay in or something else.”
Roux sat in tense silence when Taylor finally joined him, the pregnant pause not a comfortable one, but he wasn’t sure what to lead with. He'd reached out, extended an olive branch so to speak, even though they really didn’t like one another—and probably never would—but surely it was time to try and just… move on. For both their sakes. It couldn’t be healthy to hold as large a grudge as they did, and for such a long time too. Roux was starting to think he’d get an ulcer at this rate. When Taylor spoke, the brunet’s attention slowly drifted towards his hesitant companion. She wouldn’t look at him, but he couldn’t say he blamed her—it was difficult for them both. Ambivalent at the prospect of spending a day with Taylor, Roux worried at his lower lip, plucking the flesh between his teeth and humming softly. There was only one way to find out if they could be civil without wanting to throttle each other within the span of ten minutes. “I’m not too busy. I’m kinda looking for an out myself for a while. Wanna get some coffee? Maybe a baguette?”
valeriecvstillo:
His almost-inaudible gasp took the brunette by surprise. She thought the location would be rather cheesy to drag him off to — but Roux could be cheesy himself, which gave her the courage she needed to want to drag him off there anyway. Confidence picked up just as feet kicking back sand did. “Well I’ll be,” Valerie grinned lightly upon the sheepish admittance from the male. Obsidian eyes darting away proved it wasn’t information he shared with just anyone. But there was no way the girl was going to pass up poking fun at him at any chance she could. “You’re a TLC man, aren’t you? Home and garden shows. The occasional wedding ones. Do you watch the Bachelor?” Her intent of poking fun easily dissipated into pure curiosity. She realized she hadn’t known nearly enough about the male as she thought she did. An imaginary microphone reached up to Roux’s mouth in a joking manner, before her tone took that of an anchorman’s. “Tell me, Roux. Do you…” a dramatic pause, “say yes to the dress?”
Eyes lit up at what he’d mentioned. That sounded… beautiful. “We can make do with the room, yeah?” A head tilts as she’d imagined a tall, statuesque figure much like Roux’s having his gloriously outstretched positions hindered in a limited structure like that one. “Yeah, I don’t know. No one’s acting like themselves and it worries me and I —” voice cuts before she glances down at fumbling fingers. “I just want to enjoy my last night in Spain.”
Throwing his head back with a hearty laugh, Roux clutched a hand to his chest, pulling at the material of his tank as the merriment melded into a throaty groan, allowing the glee to taper off. “Jesus… am I that easy to read?” Smiling fondly, he looked over at Valerie and shook his head in the negative, his voice wavering with another bout of barely contained laughter. “Nope. I don’t like that show, but I am partial to a bit of 90 Day Fiance, and all those cheesy shows that make your toes curl to watch. They drive me insane, but I can’t help but watch. Kinda like a car crash. You know you shouldn’t, but you look anyway.” Raising a hand to his nape when the fist curled before his lips, acting as a makeshift microphone and urging him to respond, Roux felt his cheeks flush as he rubbed at the back of his neck, a rather awkward smile tugging at his lips. “Okay… you got me. I love that show.”
It was embarrassing admitting quite so much about his terrible pastimes, but he was safe in the knowledge that Valerie wouldn’t tell a single soul what was shared between them. “What makes you think you won’t?” Roux asked, surprised as he caught hold of the other's elbow, gently coaxing her back to him and sidling up to her, easing his way forward and behaving much like a barricade that halted her progress towards the gazebo. “Hey, you can tell me anything, you know that, right?”
tcydcnielsx:
the moment they landed in paris there was something off with her, she couldn’t really say what it was but she knew she was off. she walked through the halls mindlessly her arms crossed over her chest as she looked at ever passing picture and painting. when she turned the corner she stopped in her tracks, noticing the male not too far away from her. she debated turning around, not wanting to relive the past right now but when he noticed her and spoke up she knew she had to try. shaking her head at his words she decided not to lie, “not really, no. pretty much just roaming the halls and such.” she answered as she looked at him a small shrug coming from her.
Roux’s head bobbed faintly, the hand holding his phone slipping between his thighs to rest as he patted the vacant spot next to him with his free one. They had many issues between them—and a mountain of problems with each other—but surely they could be civil and possibly try to come to some kind of truce? He highly doubted it, but it was worth a try. “Why don’t you join me? Maybe we can head out and find somewhere to eat or… grab a drink?” His shoulders jumped in a quick shrug and he tentatively lifted his gaze to her own. He was nervous, they hadn’t shared a real conversation since… ever. Their encounters ended more in raised voices, threats, and accusations, but he really wanted to avoid creating a scene in picturesque Paris if they could help it.
Actual Art.
scvndvl:
oliver had been wandering around the city with very little idea of where he was going. he had been to paris before, but it wasn’t recent enough nor was it often enough to know where he was going. when he stumbled upon a familiar face though, he gave a warm smile in return to roux’s less than convincing one. “yeah,” he started, walking over towards him and pearching himself up next to him on top of the stone wall. “haven’t gotten completely lost yet, so still having a little bit of fun,” he chuckled. oliver turned his head to look over at roux, giving him a quick look over, “are you having fun?” he asked, raising his brow slightly and keeping his gaze focused on roux’s in an attempt to coax a truthful answer out of him.
His smile softened, turning more sincere in light of Oliver’s comment, and Roux met the other males eyes. It was difficult to lie when faced with such openness. Sighing, he shook his head, returning his gaze to the phone clutched between fingers holding on far tighter than was necessary. “Not really. I’m waiting for a phone call that might never actually come. It’s kinda… driving me nuts. And I can’t find anyone to hang out with so… I resorted to sitting on this wall feeling sorry for myself.” The answer was so candid, it startled a laugh from his lips and the dancer shook his head, gnawing lightly on his lower lip. Well, honesty was the best policy. “I might have a chance to see my son at some point during this vacation. Not for long, just a day or so, but… I’m still waiting to hear back from home.”
Staring down at the blank screen of his phone, Roux swung his legs, heels connecting lightly with the wall he was perched on while he waited—albeit with little patience—for a call to come in. He wasn’t even sure if the phone would ring, but he had hope. It was pretty much all he had left where his son was concerned, but his step-father had contacted him, saying they might have a way for him to meet with Romeo. Nothing was set in stone, so the nerves thrummed through him and he couldn’t find a way to relax. Noting the presence of another, Roux glanced up from the device and offered a wavering smile to the other. “Hey, you having fun?”
Jay loved swimming but enjoyed inside pools the most. Of course he liked just getting in the pool and float around but he actually liked to swim as a sport. While growing up, he didn’t do a lot of sports but he always loved taking a few leaps on the pool the community center. He had been swimming for a while, trying to break his own personal record. He finally reached the wall and sighed as he stopped the timer on the edge. He panted, trying to catch his breath as he pulled himself out of the pool and leaned to grab his towel. His eyes caught the gaze of a lurker and he raised an eyebrow at them. “you need something?”
The voice cut through his reverie, the furrow of his brow smoothing out while Roux turned wide, surprised eyes on the stranger. Had it appeared he was staring? He was simply lost in thought, unfocused gaze drifting unconsciously towards the male swimming the length and breadth of the pool. “Huh?” Rubbing clammy palms against the thin fabric of his swimming trunks, Roux stood from the sun lounger he’d been occupying for the last fifteen minutes or so, slowly approaching the other. “No. I didn’t mean to stare. I was in a daydream of sorts.”
andkams:
❝It’s called being frank, Roux. Honesty is the best policy,❞ he chides. When the bottle’s thrust back to him, Kameron takes it reluctantly, but immediately lifts it to his lips. ❝Weird, huh?❞ He asks after he’s taken a drink. ❝You’re going to bring up PTSD flashbacks to high school, and you’re not ready for that age regression, friend.❞ Setting the bottle in the sand between his legs, Kameron glances back over at Roux, easy. Laughs, not sure if he could feel happier tonight than he does right now. This is nice. More than nice. ❝You’re secret’s safe with me. Consider it payback for sneaking the booze.❞ He gets tugged a little tighter and Kameron swears his heart stutters. His eyes drop to Roux’s lips. ❝But I mean—-We could seal the deal. Make it a pact.❞ Kameron looks back up and smiles a little, maybe too hopeful. ❝It’s not stupid, and custody battles are hardly the most easy and comprehensive things. If they were, lawyers wouldn’t spend years specializing in the law.❞
❝I get what you’re saying, it’s just …❞ He frowns, unsure of what he really wants to say. Maybe it’s the liquor that inspires him to just go for brutal honesty when he says, ❝I thought I’d already met my someone, you know? She just wasn’t meant to be my someone for forever. And I’m fine with that. I became fine with that, but it’s just a little more complicated to me. Doesn’t mean anyone I meet after any less special.❞ Kameron draws a knee up and rests his other arm atop it, sighing as he toys with his hair. ❝Not to say you’re wrong for thinking the way you do, it’s just another perspective. Maybe everyone’s just different. That’d fit into the whole infinite universes, infinite possibilities thing. And I’m sure in every one of those, Romeo’s precious to anyone who finds you precious. He’s yours, after all. I think as long as you make that known, you’ll ward off anyone who isn’t interested.❞ Of course, Kameron doesn’t know form experience. He just knows he’s fine with it. And right now, his is the only opinion that matters ( to himself. )
“Honesty is the best policy, you’re right there,” he concedes, biting back a smile with Kameron’s response. He doesn’t doubt that the others high school memories are traumatising—because aren’t they always—and only finds himself further intrigued by the man, wondering at the extent of his misery during that period of his life. High school for Roux was an absolute nightmare, and not something he relishes in remembering, but he has a sneaking suspicion if Kameron inquired, he’d open up instantly. “I dunno, it can be good to share. Lighten the load a little, right?” His elbow connects gently with the others side, nudging him while their gazes meet once more. Watching the eyes of the other fall to his lips, Roux’s cheeks flush a deep crimson and his heart starts hammering in his chest. Is Kameron asking to share a kiss? Licking his lips subconsciously, the brunet flicks his gaze back to the others, feeling a somewhat coy smile make an appearance. “I mean… I’m not against sealing the deal,” he mutters, a chuckle accompanying the comment. “You’re right though, custody battles are far from simple. I’m hoping to have a resolution soon, just so I can see him and know he’s okay.”
The frown pulling at the others lips, tugs a small furrow into his brow and Roux wants to reach out and smooth across his skin, easing the creases away. He doesn’t like to see such dejection mar the beautiful features Kameron possesses. Tightening his hold a little, the dancer props his chin on the other's shoulder, listening intently to every word that leaves his lips. He’s suffered a lot in love, it seems, perhaps that’s why he’s so skeptical. The fact that Roux has never experienced it definitely serves to bolster his own opinions on the matter. “I’m sorry you lost her… maybe you’ll meet again in the future when you’re both ready. When you’re both prepared for love more… I dunno, I just hope you find love because you seem like you deserve it. Maybe more than most people. I understand though, and I don’t think it makes anyone less special after, I agree with you. I just feel like one soulmate is all we have.” He shrugs, shoulders inching up towards his chin as his gaze drifts back out over the ocean. “If… if I didn’t meet someone who loved me and only me, it’d be okay. I’d just raise Romeo alone. I think I’d do okay with that. It’d be lonely, but… I’ve spent my whole life being lonely, so what’re a few more years?”
andkams:
Kameron quickly shakes his head, scoffs, ❝Absolutely not. You should always say what you mean, if what you’re meaning to say is I’m cute, of course. Speak your mind. I’ll try to keep my ego relatively deflated.❞ He pulls his arm closer like he’s locking Roux in place at his side. Laughing at the mention of the beach party spiraling into dizzying chaos, Kameron shuffles his free hand in the sand and stretches out his legs. ❝Oh, you know … ❞ He shrugs. ❝It seemed appropriately poetic. And who knows?❞ Kameron glances over to Roux, smile wide, ❝Maybe I was just waiting for you. Is that creepy? Yeah, that’s creepy.❞ Sighing dramatically, he turns back to the surf. Really, he just came out here to get away from the crowd. He’d escaped two near-sick instances from people who couldn’t seem to pace themselves despite being grown-ass adults, and he figured his good luck in avoiding a mess would only go so far. ❝Besides, it’s a nice night, yeah? A big moon, a nice breeze. It’s quiet away from all that noise.❞ He shrugs a little.
❝Took him?❞ A frown pulls at his brow, his lips. Kameron doesn’t know much about how custody works, but he doesn’t think what Roux’s describing sounds very fair. Thumbing at the bottle, he studies the way Roux’s faces seems to fall and thinks Roux would probably agree with him on that. Kameron feels a little bad about probing. Maybe that’s the reason Roux’s here with the group, and not back home with his kid. ❝Well,❞ he says carefully, ❝maybe that’s okay right now. I mean, can you imagine a kid around that crew?❞ Raising his brows, he nods back to the roaring bonfire, still burning bright despite the early morning hour. Kameron snorts at the mention of naivety and, even worse, stupidity. ❝Doesn’t sound like that at all. You sound … optimistic. It’s a nice thought, having one person who’s just perfect, and who’s there whenever you them for whatever.❞ Kameron picks at the seam of his jeans. ❝Guess we’ll find out eventually, huh? If we’re lucky. I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong as long as the one soulmate sticks around. If they don’t … ❞ He can’t hide a wince and laughs weakly. ❝Let’s just say maybe my multiple-soulmate idea is really the more naive, here. ‘Cause when one soulmate’s gone, another could take their place. Meanwhile, yours carries the chance of a total, obliterating heartbreak. And that’s …❞ He whistles, low. ❝That’s rough. Mine’s much nicer.❞
“Stop fishing for compliments,” he chastises, the smile on his lips betraying his amusement as Roux takes the bottle from Kameron’s hand, deft digits curled loosely around the neck of the glass whilst his head tips back and he swallows down a few dragging pulls of the whiskey. It burns the entire way along his throat to settle warmly in his belly but is exactly what he needs. Being more of a beer fan, he hadn’t branched out nearly as much back home, bypassing the colourful fruity drinks in favour of the more hoppy flavour he’s oh so accustomed to. His lips curl into another smile as he listens to Kameron ramble on—why is that such an adorable trait in a grown-ass man? It’s usually something he has little patience for, but where his companion is concerned, the man can ramble all evening if he wants, and Roux will sit right there and indulge him. Lowering the bottle, he wipes the back of his free hand across his lips, removing remnants of alcohol and thrusts the container back out towards Kameron. He’s admittedly feeling a little tipsy. “It’s not creepy, just weird,” he teases with an airy chuckle, gaze attempting to connect with the others.
“I can only handle drunks when I’m drunk myself, otherwise they drive me fucking nuts, but… don’t tell anyone I said that, it’ll ruin this good guy image I’ve managed to cultivate.” The twinkle in his eye accompanies the playful tease lacing his tone and Roux squeezes Kameron’s arm between his own, almost as though he were cold and seeking some warmth. Which obviously isn’t the case, given the heat littering the breeze coming in off ocean waves. Nodding before the other is even finished asking his question, Roux drags his tongue across his lower lip, pinching the plush tier between his teeth after and humming low in his throat. Kameron’s query just about sums up exactly what did happen. “Yeah, I was dancing, my step-father let her take him, I dunno… it’s all so stupid, but you’re right, he’d definitely struggle here,” he concedes, flicking his gaze back to Kameron’s face and away from the ocean as he worries at his lower lip. Most people didn’t see him as optimistic, so it was nice that his companion did. “It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. And I don’t know… I’m not overly keen on the idea of not being special to someone. They have multiple soulmates, I’m one of many and if that’s the case, then why even bother getting into a relationship in the first place? I’m already one of many just how I am, right now. I’m one of many dancers, I’m one of many men, I’m one of many fathers, many Koreans, many French people, many everything… I don’t want to be one of many. I want to be the only one, and if I’m not, then I don’t want it. I don’t want love if I’m not going to be the only one they see. There’s no point for me. It’s just that black and white.” A shy smile curves his lips and Roux dips his chin, avoiding the other males gaze after his rant. “Besides, I have Romeo and I don’t want various people coming and going in his life, that’s not fair to him. He deserves someone stable and loving, that adores us both and wants to be with us. We come as a package deal.”
