"I suppose this means I do have to get married to Peggy now, after all..."
Rima placed it in her sling bag and gave Rowan a warm hug. "Yup2! Thankies, Rowan! You're a Good Merchant! I hope you also have a great day and great selling later!"
She patted his head quickly and dodged when his duck almost bit her fluffy paw growling at it as a warning. "Bye2, Rowan!" she giggled and ran away, waving her hand back at him. She ran up to her bro which was chatting with one of the Guards of Holistone, hugging his leg.
She took out the purple potion from her sling bag and showed it to him, eagerly told him about Rowan and the potion for his back pain, receiving a light headpat from him in return. Rima's ears twitched and tail wagged in excitement.
Rowan giggled a little as well, making sure Bradduck didn't bite Rima's paw. He watched her run off, then returned to his own matters, as well as taking care of the other duck from the beginning.
Rima nodded her head, noting Rowan's instructions about the purple potion. Her jaw then dropped when he was willing to give it away for free. Her ears flopped and she shook her head. "No, no! I can't take it for free. You're a Merchant! Lemme give my stuff if you don't want money."
She placed down the potion and rummaged her sling bag, pulling out a tiny spice box! "Here-- my bro just made the spices! I think you can sell it! It's an exchange for that potion!" She giggled and placed the tiny spice box on his hand, patting his hand a bit, and took the purple potion in her fluffy paw.
"It's a, urm... A Win-Win situation! I got the potion for my bro's back pain and you got the spices that can be sell at high price!" She said proudly and giggled even more.
Rowan was caught off guard by the refusal to take the potion for free. He stared at the spice box that was pushed into his hands, not sure what to make of it at first.
"A.. alright, if you insist, Rima. I suppose I can't turn down a good trade." Though with a bit of reluctance, the merchant accepted the spices Rima gave him in turn for the potion.
"I wish your brother a quick recovery, and I hope you have a wonderful day. It was a pleasure meeting you, despite the rocky start."
Rima grinned widely, fangs visible when Rowan complimented her, giggled of how kind he sounded. When Rowan arranged more stuffs infront of them in search for the back pain relief for her bro, her ears twitched when her eyes landed on the purple potion. The potion slightly sparkling under the sunray.
"Ro...Rowan, Rowan! This one, this one! Can I know how to use it? My instinct says it's good for my bro!" She took a hold of the potion, carefully, with her fluffy paw, tail wagging non-stop.
He perked up when the girl did, glad that she found something that could help her brother. The merchant observed the way Rima held the potion, his eyes fixed on it. That's when he remembered. The purple potion, the one he was given a while ago while taking care of Prince Kuro.
Rowan hadn't used it at the time, and perhaps it turned out to be a blessing in disguise that he didn't. His smile widened as well.
"I'm not sure... I haven't tried it before, but my guess is direct ingestion. Perhaps you could try making your brother drink it? If not, try to mix it into drink or meal. Well, Rima, I think you should take this potion for free. I'm not too worried about the money right now."
"HEHE! Yup2, for my bro!" Rima catched her tail, trying to stop it from wagging too much due to excitement.
When Rowan puts down his bag and took out some stuffs from it, she clapped her fluffy paws lightly and giggled. Then, she turned to him when he pointed out that she pronounced his name wrongly. "Oh-- umm... Sorry, Ro...Row...Rowan. Rowan! I hope I get your name right!"
Rowan smiled, glad to see Rima happy. It was a great feeling to help somebody else. "You're doing awesome, Rima."
They continued searching his bag for a remedy for her brother's back pain. There were a few things the merchant could think of, but it was up to Rima to decide what would be the best solution.
"Oh-- that's good to hear! 'Cause my bro sometimes has a back pain when carrying heavy stuffs. I kinda worried you, Roman. You carry your big bag and runs around here and another places since you're a Mer...Merchant!" Rima babbling quickly and looking at Rowan in worried.
"You said, you carry lots of stuffs in your bag! Can you show some stuffs to me? I wanna see it! Maybe... I can buy something for him to relief his back pain!" Her eyes grew wider at her brilliant idea for her bro, tails wagging even more in delight.
Rowan listened to the girl intently, being patient even as she stammered slightly.
"Yes, of course. That's very kind of you to look after your brother. I'm sure we'll find something to help his back pain." He set his bag down so the two could look through his various wares together.
"Also, Rima... I couldn't help but notice the mispronunciation of my name. It's Rowan, Ro - win, not Roman. Don't worry, I don't mind." The merchant noted with a soft tone and a smile, the mistake not bothering him.
"Yup2, Roman! I'll remember that!" Her tail wagged a bit after saying it. "Oh, oh-- what's in your bag? It's super big! Don't you have a back pain for carrying it around?" She tilted her head, ears twitching a bit.
"Ah, there's just wares and other goods inside. I'm a merchant, so I have to keep these with me all the time. And don't worry, Rima, I've been carrying such heavy loads for quite a while now. No back pain, hehe."
She nodded her head, hearing Rowan's advice and kneading her fluffy paws together, a bit guilty of what she did just now. She gave an awkward grin at him. "It's okay, I deserve it. I thought it's your duck just now, Roman. ANYWAYS, I'm Rima! Nice to meetcha!" She took his other hand that didn't hold his staff or... stick? , into her fluffy paw, shaking it with a grin grew wider than before.
"It's okay, just make sure you don't do it again when approaching strangers." The merchant was glad they could resolve this problem without any further escalation.
"It's nice to meet you, too, Rima." He took her paw gently, eager to share this handshake.
Her eyes widened when Rowan looked angry at her. She bit her lower lip, feeling on the verge of tears. "S-sorry. My bro likes to pat my head when I get to bring home small animals. I guess others didn't like it, the way we do." Her ears flopped and she kicked the dirt lightly.
Rowan sighed a little, his expression turning apologetic. "Forgive me, I was a bit insensitive there."
"I understand that you might play rough with wild animals when you're hunting them, if I'm right to assume so. But if those aren't your intentions, then you do need to be more careful, okay?"
"Hey~ Is this your BIRB?" A mauler kid which looks like a female white tiger ran towards Rowan. She held out a duck, holding it by its neck, grinning proudly at him. The duck almost turned blue, already gave up to quack.
"What-? Hey, let it go! You're hurting it." Rowan pried the duck from the mauler's grasp, freeing it and tending to it with utmost care.
"No, it isn't mine, though it doesn't matter. You should handle living beings with more care, alright? You could've almost killed this lil' guy..."
"The Emberlight Festival is getting closer, and celebrating with friends is just the way. But what if you prefer celebrating at home? Well, count on me. I know just they way to bring the best of new year's mood to your home!"
"I've got premium quality decorations and gifts at just the right price. You also want any other of my items? Don't worry! They'll come with unbelievable new year's discounts!"
"Don't miss out, and I wish you a wonderful new year and Emberlight Festival!"
HARRY HAS RUN AWAY ONCE AGAIN AND I LAST SAW HIM CHASING YET ANOTHER CRITTER - YOUR DUCK.

"Really? Jeez, that mischievous little kitty. You have to keep a better eye on him, Angelo!"
"I'm relieved to know that Bradduck isn't in any danger, though. I was worried where he'd gone off to this time! It's a good thing that our companions are getting along."
"I suppose we have to chase them down now, just like the old days."

The door to the Mystcal House opens with a chime (or perhaps two?) But not only with chimes does the merchant make his entrance, but also with a quack from his duck companion.
"Good afternoon, Miss Dolly. I hope you're having a great day so far? I was able to acquire new stock for you and Merlin!"

｡𖦹°‧— "I'm having a great day, a lot of curious customers come and go lately. Would you like something to drink before we get to these new wares? I'm sure you must be tired from all these travels trade spot to trade spot."
"Speak of the devil? What, was someone talking behind my back again?" The merchant chuckles softly, not taking it to heart if it was indeed the case. He takes a seat, smiling softly.
"Yes, some tea would be lovely while we catch up. Thank you, Miss Dolly."
｡𖦹°‧— "Oh, nothing sinister at all, I was talking to a curious customer earlier and he just happened to mention you. I suppose your travels have gotten you to meet all sorts of eccentric people."
｡𖦹°‧—"I do have to thank you for bringing new people here."
⋆˚꩜｡(Dolly gets to work, brewing a familiar tea. It's scent is comforting in its simplicity)⋆˚꩜｡
｡𖦹°‧— "Nothing better to relax after a long trip than a warm Starlight Cup of tea. No need to rush through it."
"Oh? Now I'm curious who that person was that you met."
"Hehe, it's nothing. I just seem to have a certain charm that attracts all kinds of people, as my brother Angelo puts it..."
Rowan carefully takes the cup of tea in his hands, bringing it close and blowing softly to cool the liquid, before he takes a small sip.

This prince seems like quite the personality, and I thrive with people who way are more than they may seem on the surface - I find that they make the best inspiration for tales! Ahem, if I have their consent to write about them, of course.

"Yes, he is indeed! But nothing I can't handle, hehe. I'm sure he'd love to have a story written about him, the way he likes to brag about himself."
"Hm... I'm sure Prince Kuro wouldn't mind, but don't expect much from him, he's more of a listener, especially if it's about a topic he isn't particularly interested in. He does get fired up about things like astronomy, though!"
What can you tell me about this mysterious Prince Kuro? and how is it with Princess Peggy? I hope that neither are being too clingy, especially not a particular future bride!
Listen, gossip has circled and of course it's reached me; I know how much the little Savannah princess has clung to you like you two are already married. Add a strange prince to brew this "royal drama" and you become a conversation starter at noble dinner parties!
My, Rowan, you seem to attract royals like a magnet, you charming little merchant (I can't not call you little - c'mon!) Familial traits really do pass down from generation to generation, isn't that right~?

"Don't even mention it. Of course Princess Peggy has been clingy as ever! I can rarely catch a break from her, you know how she is, right? Well, I'm used to it by now, and she's quite alright whenever she isn't on my tail."
"How do you know of-? Ah, not that it matters. The prince, while also clingy, seems to take my personal space and boundaries into account much more. He's considerable, cautious. However Kuro seems to portray these mannerisms mostly around my presence."
"Prince Kuro can be a bit cocky and full of himself the first few times you meet him, but I can tell he's got a soft, caring heart within. In a metaphorical sense, he's a vampire, I've found out."
"It doesn't appall me, I've worked with all kinds of people, after all! I've noticed that he's easily irritable, too. But I can tell the prince is trying his best not to lash out. Other times he appears bored (and somewhat sadistic. Apparently Avari allows public executions...?) He's quite durable emotionally wise, though!"
"However, Prince Kuro is quite the smoker. I can't recall a single moment where he isn't carrying his pipe around. It's one of his favourite pastimes aside from reading, collecting, or going to the sauna. He seems to have a certain aversion to crowds, prefers one-on-one hangouts and solidarity."
"Overall, he's pleasant to spend time with once you get to know him!"
"Ah, well, I think the prince seems open to different dynamics? He probably wouldn't have much of a problem with Peggy. She on the other hand... I don't want to imagine it."
"And don't say such things! Ugh, you're so embarrassing... I do not attract royals like a magnet, no matter how charming I may be!"

Ah, yes, the cemetery incident with Harry when his tiny face was only the size of one of your nubby hands back then. It seems that you haven't forgotten. I mean, how could I forget?...
Well, hah... Let's not get too sentimental, now - I've been splendid, indeed - ask the regulars at the Noble Tavern and they'll vouch for me and my songs! I'm especially happy that we can keep in touch this way.
And of course after being away from you for most days, I missed you too, deeply, utterly, gravely - maybe not that adverb, but I suppose you get the point. I missed when we were just children... figuratively. I missed when life seemed simpler.
And I'm... sorry, really, for leaving you to become the heir of everything tied to our father's name. Are you holding up all right with such responsibility? How can I make it up to you? A free vacation? Trusting me with some of the work you have?
... Love advice? As your older brother and the (definitely objectively) most charming bard of Esperia, I can't help but notice that you've reached a maturity stage where you're starting to really like some people~ Hah! I'm kidding, mostly. But one, personalized, advice? - and this is free, so take it or leave it: You have plenty of trinkets; observe what your admiree likes and gift them something that makes them feel out of this world!
(but don't expect anything in return. I learned that the hard, embarrassing way)

"As much as I appreciate the offer, I can handle my work just fine, Angelo. Nor do I need any vacations, either (not that I know of.)"
"I.. I also don't need any love advice...! Any deep attachments would only interfere with my business! A.. a distraction, aka Peggy..." Unsure, he was. Perhaps a person did come to mind.
