Master, master! You're finally here!
We soothin' this House, with our scent, per usual!
Praise us, Master, Hehee~
---
Some familiar voices could be heard nearby him, as he, the Magister, with long wavy, silver hair, wearing a white aristocratic clothes... stirred awake from his slumber when hearing it. He slowly opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling for awhile... of the usual, Mystical House, as he was currently, lying on the couch.
He slowly changed his position from lying to sit on the couch, letting out a groan, as he, now, felt ever so lightheaded from the shift of his position. He blinked a few times to clear his blurry vision and saw... some lavender flowers of his in a vase, on a table, infront of him.
He caressed the petal of the lavender ever so gently and sighed, when he heard some giggling from them.
'When did I... arrange this lavender flowers of mine... in a vase..?' he thought and titled his head.
He searched through his hazy mind of when he did it... nonetheless... he failed. He sighed yet again and ruffled his hair. ... as expected from his broken mind.
He glanced at the Noble Tavern and spotted Dolly, which was wiping the countertop while humming a soothing tune. He flustered, immediately lowered his gaze, due to such... ethereal she looks in his eyes. With his fingers, he combed his hair a bit and slowly rising up from the couch, striding towards her. His heart rate picked up its pace the more he gets closer to the Tavern.
"Pardon of the intrusion... Miss Dolly..." He said, in shaky tone, as he sat on a stool, slowly.
"May I ask... have you seen... Miss Eva..? Urm... She's quite late... promising me some Enchanted Roast Skewers... from Holt Street..." He stared at the spotless, countertop now, quite embarrassed to look at her in the eyes.
"That... Lavender flowers in the vase... over there... Did I... arrange it..? I... truly forgot... yet again... ... I... don't think I... could arrange that well... ... It's lovely..." He looked at the lavender vase near the couch where he previously took a nap, as he smiled sheepishly at such, embarrassing remarks that he just utter.
... Oh, Kafka... He truly didn't know whose Mystical House he was in... As his mind slightly foggy at the moment...

。𖦹°‧— (It takes a moment for Dolly to process the man's words. He carried himself like an elegant mage but, when did he enter the tavern? Had she missed his entrance? Perhaps, with how busy the front counter can get at times. Though right now the last of visitors had left, leaving only the stranger and her.
Regardless, she put on her best smile.) ⋆˚꩜。
。𖦹°‧— "Oh, hello! I- don't recall seeing you earlier but, welcome to the Noble Tavern! May I offer a cup of water? You look like you just woke up from a deep dream..."
。𖦹°‧— "Miss Eva...? I don't remember anyone with that name either..."
。𖦹°‧— (For a moment, Dolly wondered if she had missed many more visitors, had she been careless?
But the mage seemed too entranced by the Lavender flowers. They were beautiful and filled the space with a relaxing scent.
But, wait-)⋆˚꩜。
。𖦹°‧— "These flowers? I got them from a mysterious sender, I have been waiting for his visit."
。𖦹°‧— "I arranged them in a vase myself because I didn't want such a gift to wither, in case the sender came visiting sometime... I'm glad you think its lovely but, why would you think you arranged them?"
。𖦹°‧— "Ah, that's an odd question, isn't it?"
。𖦹°‧—(One cannot tell which of the two is more confused, the Mage, or the Bartender.)⋆˚꩜。
His eyes widened and face turned pale when he heard her... welcoming him as if a mere customer, instead of calling out for him as... Magister Kafka. The other explaination of hers became... inaudible in his ears, as he was, engulfed in fear.
"Huh..?" He tilted his head, ended up gazing upon her in confusion, of why she said that... as a confusion, also, written all over her face, as she tapped her cheek with her finger, lightly.
He tried to voice it out, however... his mouth quivered, tongue tied at the moment... trying to register well what she had utter. He gripped the edge of the countertop, as he toughen himself to speak.
"Miss Dolly... Have... have you... forgotten about us..? I-It's me... Kafka... Magister Kafka... and Miss Eva is..." His voice trailed off as his breath hitched. He feared... he was still in his dream realm, nonetheless, a rarest nightmare.
The nightmare... where she... forgotten about them...
'I-I swear... in Dura's name... I already reinforced the seal upon my dream realm... with the help of 'M'... There shouldn't be any more Hypogean... bypassing my dream realm...' He thought, as he ruffled his hair in confusion.
He then gazed upon the shelves and the wooden tiles, trying... trying to sense any... Hypogean magic upon the Mystical House, however... failed.
He became breathless, panicked, as he closed his eyes, wishing that 'twas not a nightmare... as he, back at the Dark Forest, almost failed to escape the dream of that young wilder boy which was the reincarnation of Nazrik, as he was trapped in those dream... by... The Hypogean named Mehira.
His ears suddenly rang, as he then... could hear a voice... a usual, calm voice...
---
Kafka, cease your troubling thoughts.
Stay calm... and take a deep breath.
Look around you. Sense the magic, once more... within the Mystical House and observe the difference... of the interior of the lounge.
Fret not, Kafka. You are... in Waking Realm.
---
He took a deep breath and released it... deep breath and released it and slowly opened his eyes.
First, he tried to sense some traces of Magister Evangeline's magic, however... failed. Odd... odd indeed...
She wasn't the type to cover up her traces of magic upon their cozy home...
He, then, looked at the edges of the countertop, tracing a bit with his gloved fingers... trying to feel the slight dents due to her Sword, as she, sometimes, enjoyed hitting it with her sword, to test the sturdiness of the countertop and the sharpness of her sword. However... Not a single traces of it.
Again, quite peculiar... since she wouldn't fix the dents and scratching marks on it, as she preferred to see it like that.
His gaze then shifted to the window. ... 'Twas nighttime, however... ... Dolly haven't put on the usual, Warming Insence, to warm up the lounge.
. . .
. . .
He, once, crafted for the Quaint Mystical House of his, to warm up the lounge since usually... a few of his hamsters were sometimes... slept there.
... and lastly... As his mind, finally cleared up, he glanced over his shoulder towards his lavender in the vase, near the couch... as some faint voices could be heard from them...
---
... master, Master-- MASTERRR~
DON'T PANIC-- We're in another universe!
That's another Dolly! Of course she doesn't know you!
---
He covered his reddened face now, with his shaky hands. He then said, with a very... shaking tone. "M-Miss Dolly... My... S-Sincerest apologies for my... behaviour... upon you... I... Urm... ... It seems like... I had been... traverse into another realm... your realm... due to an unknown force... yet again..." His brows furrowed, as he sighed in his shaky, cold hands.
Ahh... How he was ever so embarrassed now, as his face turned as red as tomato. He finally... finally connected the dot of where he was and what situation he was in.
He turned towards Dolly, as she, now, pushing a glass of water towards him... as her brows furrowed when witnessing his peculiar behaviours, gazing around the lounge, as if the first time entering the Mystical House.
"Indeed... I have asked such... peculiar questions upon you... Do forgive me..." He added, as he slowly uncovered his face, pulling a glass of water closed to him.
... Unfortunately... he truly had forgotten about her response towards his peculiar questions due to panic...
。𖦹°‧— (Oh, so a Traveler! That was something Dolly could work with.
She let the mage go through his stages of realization patiently, watching the fear and confusion turn slowly into... embarrasment? He acted like he already knew her, but then apologized.
No matter what, she adressed the mage with a tender smile.)⋆˚꩜。
。𖦹°‧— "So you come from far don't you, Magister? Traveling through realms without realizing... sounds exhausting. I've heard one or two stories about mages accidentally ending up in places they don't know or... remember. You can rest here as much as you need to until your mind becomes clear"
。𖦹°‧— "Don't you worry, you're perfectly safe here."
。𖦹°‧— (Whenever his eyes strayed to the Lavender vase, hers followed suit. It almost seemed like there was a single clue she was missing.)⋆˚꩜。
。𖦹°‧— "Is Miss Eva a friend of yours? Perhaps I missed a visitor with that name..."
Magister Kafka gazed upon Dolly, as she gave such... gentle smile and uttured ever so softly towards him. He briefly covered his reddened face, as his heart was truly... beating ever so quickly.
Is there... ever a cure to reduce this racing heartbeat whenever he gaze upon her..? ... he should look through it, when the time comes.
He nodded his head, drinking a bit of the water then... gently place the glass on the counter. "Indeed... I am and... indeed... It's ever so... exhausting... The recent moment that I had been... thrown "into another realm"... was... ... I and Miss Eva had been pulled by... an unknown force... towards a Mysterious Portal that formed on top of the Altar... of The Sandscript Temple... and... ended up in the ancient times... Ten Thousand Years ago..." His brows furrowed, as he sighed, feeling ever so exhausted when recalled all the moments that happened back in The Ancient Times.
The Sacrifice, Ended up acting as The Hunting God and The Herdmaster... Merlin The First... The Arcane Council... Morgan... ... The Drought, The Famine, The Sudden Flood... The War... The Bloodshed... The Fallen God and Goddess... ... The Death of General Perseus... and His Precious Child, Gala... which had grown and become such a formidable mage, the Third Seat of The Arcane Council...
He shook his head, as he felt slightly dizzy from thinking too much. Slowly, he rubbed his temple to ease his headache. He then clasped his shaky, cold hands, as he smiled sheepishly at her when she allowed him to rest there for awhile and mentioned that... The Noble Tavern was a safe place to be.
"Miss Dolly... Thank you... I... truly appreciate your... hospitality... as always... I would stay here... for awhile here... to clear my mind and... awaiting Miss Eva... If you don't mind..." His voice trailed off as he glanced at the vase with his precious Lavender flowers neatly snuggling in it, on a table, near the couch.
"... Miss Dolly... Miss Eva... hasn't come here... Since there's no trace of her... magic here... ... About Miss Eva... she's... my precious, dearest relative... which I'm ever so grateful for her... to exist in my life... She's quite an Energetic... Magister Merlin... ... Her full name is Evangeline... however... she prefers others to call her by "Eva"..." He said, softly, as a small smile formed on his face when thinking of her, The Energetic Magister... Magister Evangeline.
Magister Kafka eyes widened when he, now... could hear his precious Lavender... humming a soothing tune to ease his racing heart. He sighed when they giggled after humming in harmony.
Ahh... how embarrased he would be if Dolly knew that... he could hear them ever so clearly.
He glanced back at her and... realised that she was also looking at it, the vase of Lavender flowers on the table. He then waved his hand and... in a blink of an eyes, the vase teleported from the table to the countertop of the Noble Tavern, as it landed gently on the counter.
A slight cheer could be heard from the Lavender, causing him to chuckle awkwardly. He gently caressed the petals and whispered a soft prayer, in ancient language, at them.
His gaze then shifted back at her, and said, in shaky tone, "I... guess... I must reintroduce myself... due to how panicked I am... a moment ago... ... I'm... ... I'm Kafka... Magister Kafka... It's a pleasure to meet you... Miss Dolly..." he placed his hand on his chest and lowered his head a bit, as if a bow, since he was sitting at a stool at the moment.
"... To clarify the situation... This precious Lavender flowers... are from... the Lavender Field of mine... I don't know... how it arrived here... It's... odd..." He tilted his head, as his brows furrowed when he could hear them giggling for some unknown reason.
His precious Lavender didn't want to spoil the show. Ehehee...
。𖦹°‧— "Oh! Then you must be the send-"
。𖦹°‧— (Dolly bit her tongue, the letter said to Not Mention anything to someone named Kafka. And, well, this man just presented himself as Magister Kafka. Now the lingering scent of lavenders and calm atmosphere that surrounded the mage made a tad bit more of sense.)⋆˚꩜。
。𖦹°‧— "So you grow these beautiful lavenders... a pleasure to properly meet you, Magister Kafka. You seem to know me... but I suppose that's not too odd when running a tavern like this one, word sure flies fast sometimes."
。𖦹°‧—"I've been taking care of these flowers. They bring life to the center of the tavern and the hamsters around specially love the calming smell."
。𖦹°‧— "I've been wondering if I could perhaps use a bloom or two on a drink... but they're so pretty I don't really want to accidentally ruin them..."
。𖦹°‧— "But I'm glad your head is slowly coming down of that scare, you seem calmer now. For a moment I truly thought I had missed your entrance but I suppose you simply happened to fall in this humble stablishment."
。𖦹°‧— "While we wait for miss Eva, perhaps you can tell me more about that lavender field of yours? These blooms seem so... lively. I swear I see them moving without any wind sometimes but, I suppose now that there's some magic at play..."
Magister Kafka sighed, gaze softened, as he listened to Dolly's soft and gentle voice which was... ever so joyful to talk to him... "The Lost Magister" in another realm.
He blinked his eyes slowly, tilting his head when... she suddenly changed her topic. ... However, he didn't dare to ask of why she changed it, only gazing upon her in confusion.
He hesitated to answer the first question, as he twirled some strands of wavy long, silver hair of his.
"It's... It's a... pleasure to meet you too... Miss Dolly... ... I... wouldn't mistaken you for... other mortal... as you... urm... ... radiates such... unique aura... within the Mystical House..." He covered his mouth, slightly flustered when saying it in slow paced, as he, indeed... saw her slightly glowing under the warm light of the Noble Tavern.
Love... Is in the air, is it not?
He nodded his head and blinking slowly, as a sheepish smile slowly formed on his face. "I see... ... Miss Dolly... My precious lavender... sounds ever so... overjoyed since... you have taken care of them... properly... In return... they repay you by... producing such... soothing scent of theirs... at this Mystical House lounge..." A cry of joy could be heard from the lavender in the vase, as he gently touching the leaves.
... He hoped his wordings didn't confused her.
They, yet again, talking eagerly infront of him. ... Unfortunately, He and only he could hear it.
---
Dolly wants to use some of us??
Yes, YES! Do what you must, Dolly~
It'll be our pleasure if you could use us... as optimum as possible... Since... You know... Sooner or later, our time is... up...
---
He sighed as he closed his eyes. "It's... an honour to hear it... Miss Dolly... That you would like to... use some of the blooms of theirs... for some drinks... I don't mind... at all... It's... better to use it... soon... Before it wilts..." The lavender flowers swayed a bit, although there was no breeze, as they cheered in agreement!
He chuckled lightly, as he glanced at her. "Indeed... Miss Dolly... My mind... is slightly clearer than before... ... Hah... My apologies for I... appeared nearby your Noble Tavern... unannounced..." he frowned a bit, as he truly... wasn't the one who caused this traversal, yet again.
His eyes sparkled, as she asked about the lavender field of his. Oh... how his heart racing, as he tried to sort out some sentences in his mind. He took a deep breath and released it, when his mind slightly blurry due to how eager he was to share about it.
"In recent times... My dearest hamsters companions... Taking care of the... Lavender Field... As the lavender flowers and... Other flowers there... Could be harvest every... single day... Lavender Flowers also... had been turned into... another product... Like... Urm... For instance... Lavender Perfume... Lavender Papers... Lavender Pigments... and more... all of it then... had been sold to... The nearby town and... if I'm not mistaken... The Mithril Consortium also involved in this small business..." He stretched his head a bit, as his mind became slightly blurry at the information about it...
"Well... It's... Urm... Actually, I... blessed the barren land... in a small part of Ryeham... Nearby the Mystical House of mine... I then... only planted the... precious Lavender of mine... once... Then... It grows... under the constant, harvest magic that I... once casted upon the barren land..."
"I... currently recalled that... I also planted other plants there... with Miss Dolly... of my realm..." He took a sip of a glass of water and a small smile formed on his face, staring at his empty glass now... slightly flustered when vaguely remembered that moment.
... Dolly of his realm was in charge of those business, since... his past self implored her on doing so, as he knew... He might forgot about his lavender field...
"There's also... A Wisteria Tree... on top of a hill... which glows at night... It's my... favourite spot to take a shelter... under its shades..." He clasping his cold, shaky hands a bit, closing his eyes, as he imagined taking a nap there. He slowly... opened his eyes, as he heard some chirpy tunes from the lavender flowers.
"Indeed... the precious lavender of mine are rather... lively... since they... grow on the blessed soil of... The lavender field of mine... ... Miss Dolly... I must apologize if they... spooked you... They mean no harm and... most of my precious lavender are... ever so curious to be in... another realm... a new environment... ... They tend to... move a bit without the breeze... As they... praises, prays to those who taken care of them... while producing such... soothing scent towards their... surroundings..." He closed his mouth, slightly flustered of how much he talked at that moment and... noticed he ended up leaning forward, when sharing about his precious... lavender field. 🪻
。𖦹°‧— (Dolly listens to the mage's words, there's an odd kind of familiarity in his voice, and she can feel it too. Is it normal to feel like you know someone you've never met before? Pandora did mention once something along the lines of "People who already know you", but it doesn't compare to the warmth of talking to someone who feels like an old friend...
Hearing about herself in the perspective of someone from a different realm was always fascinating...)
I... wouldn't mistaken you for... other mortal... as you... urm... ... radiates such... unique aura... within the Mystical House...
。𖦹°‧— (Though, some of his sweet words do catch her off guard. She can't do much more than keep on listening.
Kafka spoke with a slight melancholy, or perhaps nostaligia. Maybe it came from his memories or maybe he simply was like that: A nervous bundle of emotions trying to speak his mind. It didn't bother her, in fact it was kind of adorable)
。𖦹°‧— "Oh, your field sounds beautiful... I can almost picture myself there, enjoying the breeze and the sweet scent of lively flowers... all under a Wisteria tree. How charming."
。𖦹°‧— "It reminds me of this one time the Mystical House moved from another town... Giga decided to stop in a beautiful field and wouldn't move no matter what we tried, but the scenery was so gorgeous we almost wanted to stay there... It wasn't a lavender field though, I've never seen one of those."
(Dolly was lost in her memories for a moment, reminiscing and letting out a soft laughter. She's lived so much yet there's still even more to learn...)
。𖦹°‧— "Such a magical view to imagine... If these blooms come from your field then I almost don't want to turn them into anything else, but if they insist..."
It's... an honour to hear it... Miss Dolly... That you would like to... use some of the blooms of theirs... for some drinks... I don't mind... at all...
。𖦹°‧— "Would you like to join me for a drink, then? I'll make sure to treat them with the love and care they deserve"
(On the corner of her eye, she could swear the blooms perked up a little)

---
Master, master!

A blue portal appears and... A lavender letter and a bouquet of lavender flowers lands gently on the countertop infront of Dolly...
The content of the letter is as follows...
"Good Day, Miss Dolly !
So... Urm... My Dearest, Magister Kafka, made a bouquet of lavender flowers, hand-picked himself from his lavender field... especially for the Tavern Lady that he ever adores and appreciates your existence in his life!
I need to apologise, in advance... if he suddenly appears here... I... urm... Truly want him to visit you... when the time comes... Mhmm!
... Don't tell him what I wrote in this letter-- Ehehee..."

。𖦹°‧— (The gift appearing out of nowhere from thin air startles Dolly a little, but she's seen weirder, so she quickly captures the note in her hands and reads it. 。𖦹°‧— "These are fresh, and the smell is so relaxing. I will keep these close to me."
。𖦹°‧— "I will need a vase... I wouldn't want such a lovely gift to wither. Specially not if the sender will come by soon, I have to take good care of them."
A scoundrel rushes in, and slams a worn-out metal bucket on the counter.
Buckle up lady!! put all the gold you have in the bin and no one gets hurt! hurry hurry!
。𖦹°‧— "... ... ?"
。𖦹°‧— "Oh- Do you need help? If you're in need of something perhaps we can provide...?"
I dont know if anyone has come to you for valentines day yet, but I wanted to give you some flowers.
it's not a lot, but I really appreciate all you do for me and others. you're amazing. I dont think any number of thank yous could amount to my gratitude.
it's a small gift, nothing grand. but, from all of us, thank you

。𖦹°‧— "Goodness... for me?"
。𖦹°‧— "Oh you are too kind, Magister. Thank you, I will treasure this with all of my heart."
。𖦹°‧— "So many kind words, its making me a little embarassed, but I appreciate you and everything you do as well! Hope I get to see you go on many more adventures this year"
。𖦹°‧— "Hmm... no news since the Court Mage Selection started..."
。𖦹°‧— "I hope the Magister is alright..."
"Dolly, you'll forgive me one day for the time(s) the glimmerblooms got into the tavern and tracked mud all over the floor and scratched up the hardwood and scared everyone into leaving, right...?"
- @magister-verdant
。𖦹°‧— "I could never be mad at you, Magister... but if you do manage to keep your friends outside I'd be very grateful. The Tavern isn't small, you see."
。𖦹°‧— "Though they aren't the first odd creatures roaming around here..."
Dolly you need a raise, everyone agrees.
。𖦹°‧— "Hmm, I wonder... I'm not complaining but what would @default-merlin think of something like that?..."
。𖦹°‧— "(hahah!)"
"You called for me? Oh- why of course! I've been meaning to give you a raise for sometime."
"Here, here. Just name the amount and it's all your's.☆"
。𖦹°‧— "Oh, you actually showed up... that's kind of unexpected given your usual running-around. It's so good to see you."
。𖦹°‧— "I was joking around, Magister, I have everything I'd ever need here. I get to do what I love... have wonderful friends I consider family... what else could I ask for?"
。𖦹°‧— "..."
。𖦹°‧— "You could afford to give Giga a proper bath, though..."
Dolly you need a raise, everyone agrees.
。𖦹°‧— "Hmm, I wonder... I'm not complaining but what would @default-merlin think of something like that?..."

"Hi, Dolly. How've you been?"
There's a certain affection in the mage's face as she addresses you.
( @merlinarteria )
。𖦹°‧— "Magister, hello! Today has been pretty calm, I got to try a few new mixes in my spare time, learning what works and what doesn't. How about you?"
。𖦹°‧— "You're looking a little... dazed, there. Would you like something to drink while you tell me about your ventures?"
I'm glad you're doing fine.
Oh... who? Who's dazed? Me?
Hah! S-Sorry. I haven't been feeling well lately. The weather's hot outside.
Got to be careful with my words... I don't think this is my Dolly at all. In unknown lands I have no choice but to make this assumption. I won't let this conversation happen like last time.
I still need to find my way back.
New mixes, I see! If you don't mind, I'd like to try what you're working on. Maybe that'll make me feel all better in no time~
。𖦹°‧— "I know just the thing!"

。𖦹°‧— "Make yourself comfortable, Magister."
( Arteria takes the glass from the counter, and takes a sip.
She tastes honey in her mouth, her tastebuds exploding with overwhelming sweetness in all the right ways. Somewhere in the mixture there's a hint of wine, but it's not enough to intoxicate.
No matter the universe, Dolly always knows how to make a killer drink. )
That was delightful. Thank you, Dolly.
( ...
No matter how much she tries to ignore it, there's a nagging thought in the back of her head.
Arteria will have no choice but to address it. Now. )
I... I can't stay.
No matter how good it is to see her again, this is not my Dolly. This is not even my realm. I...
I need to go back.
Dolls, I...
I need your help.
。𖦹°‧— "Oh, you look so serious all of a sudden... what's troubling you?"
。𖦹°‧— "Whatever it is, I'd be happy to help so, please tell me."

The door to the Mystcal House opens with a chime (or perhaps two?) But not only with chimes does the merchant make his entrance, but also with a quack from his duck companion.
"Good afternoon, Miss Dolly. I hope you're having a great day so far? I was able to acquire new stock for you and Merlin!"

"Speak of the devil? What, was someone talking behind my back again?" The merchant chuckles softly, not taking it to heart if it was indeed the case. He takes a seat, smiling softly.
"Yes, some tea would be lovely while we catch up. Thank you, Miss Dolly."
。𖦹°‧— "Oh, nothing sinister at all, I was talking to a curious customer earlier and he just happened to mention you. I suppose your travels have gotten you to meet all sorts of eccentric people."

。𖦹°‧— "It would be a surprise if that ever happens, I never really know what's going on in the Magister's head, they're such a mysterious person..."
