as the sort of person who’s good at getting what he wants, he knows when he’s about to succeed. here and now? he’s practically already counting it as success. Rowan seems more than interested in eloping and his little challenge is obviously nothing he can’t conquer. “convinced yet?” he purrs against his neck, a smirk teasing at the edges of his lips. “or should i keep trying?” either way, he’s pretty sure that Rowan’s going to be cooperative with him.
-- “Very convinced...” He breaths out softly as he felt his lips against his neck. “Y-You can keep trying but I don’t know what else there is to ‘try’ for, you’ve got me uh-- ye-yeah...” Rowan’s hands move up to Nick’s face, cupping his jaw in his hands. He pulls him into a deep kiss before pulling back just a bit, “maybe we should go somewhere... More private?”

I’ve been told,” he said, “…i don’t really believe it though.” if anyone had known him from his previous school, they’d know how severely dangerous he can get. people avoided him for it and it drew him into a dark place. plath was a fresh start, a blank slate where people wouldn’t judge him for his disorder. “so. how’s plath going for you?” he asked with a smile.
-- “Eh, that’s alright, it’s hard to believe things other people tell you,” Rowan says with a soft smile. “You just gotta hope they’re not malicious or anything, and I can promise i’m not being malicious at all. he snuggles in a bit closer to Rowan, a heavy ( but content ) sigh escaping him. he hasn’t felt this relaxed since he’s arrived at plath, much to the dismay of his team, but here and now he thinks for once that there might be a point to the whole thing. sure, he’s not sure exactly what that point is ( or why they shove him so adamantly to interact with their kind ) but he doesn’t think that matters too much. he doesn’t need to understand; he just needs to learn to be more comfortable. after that, maybe everything else will get easier to bear. “me too,” he mumbles, his eyes flickering shut. “like being with you.”
-- Warmth spreads slowly through Rowan’s body as he gets closer to Raul, his lips gently pressing against his lips once more. “I’m glad...” He mumbles softly before pulling a blanket around them carefully. It’s so good, it feels so good to be this close with him. It feels right. Nothing has ever felt this right to Rowan, everything has always felt just ‘right adjacent’ but this... Raul... It’s all just perfect. “I like being with you too.” He knows not much needs to be said between them, they’re both able to read each other pretty well, even though Raul’s not keen on people and Rowan is just... Generally bad with social cues. Because of those things though, they click so much better than they would with anyone else.
