(Interesting thing I’ve learned: I wrote the hardest scenes for this thing first, with the idea that then the ‘easy’ ones would be, well, easier when I had less energy. Which probably was true, but has made the easy scenes almost as difficult as it feels like the hard ones would have been anyway. Which of course doesn’t mean that’s true, and there’s a lot of benefit in it feeling ‘practically finished’ to keep up momentum, but still. Suggests the general ‘you have been writing/planning etc. for x days consecutively’ debuff multiplier is higher than expected, and ‘difficulty of scene’ may be lower.)

#also you’ve got to break up #writing the scene/being in the world #with physical planning i.e. scene order #to rest the other’s muscles #also brain hot sometimes no work #but that’s a separate issue

13th doctor was literally so iconic i love her. 12th doctor ended up being so emotionally vulnerable with his companions and his friends and loved them all so much that they died for it and had to learn a lesson about how it's better to love and lose rather than never love at all. and instead of keeping any of that in mind at all 13 was immediately like "WOW that sucked bad clearly the solution is to Never Be Vulnerable With Anyone At All" and for some unpredictable reason that never worked out for her

Not to be a bitch but sometimes people engage with fiction in the most boring way possible, and nowhere is this clearer than in videogames. Like what you mean you hate a character just because they were kind of abrasive when speaking to the player character? "They were mean to me" and it didn't occur to you to wonder why? Like, what might their attitude toward you reveal about the world? About the social dynamics within it? About their own perspectives and backgrounds and personalities? Does it even occur you to ask? Would you only have liked them if they bowed to your presence and talked about how great you are? Like I'm sorry but you're so boring. How boring fiction would be if it cathered to you
