It wasn’t everyday that Phoenicis threw a party, but when they did, they partied long, and they partied hard.
Naturally, the party thrown to celebrate saving the world and not having a population of stone was particularly rowdy; with the ravens, hawks, and herons in one place, it was undoubtedly more noise than Serenes had seen in a long while– the party had gone on for a week!
… And if Tibarn was honest with himself, he didn’t remember half of it.
“Ugh…” His eyes slid open with some difficulty, and he thanked the goddess that the room was dimly lit– because his head was pounding like a drum… A really really loud one.
Somehow he’d found his way to a bed, which was saying something given how weak and sore he felt… And damn, his stomach was turning. He took a deep breath to try and ward off the nausea, but it was to no avail– the great hawk king found himself stumbling over to the nearest bucket he could find and puking his guts out. He sank to the floor when he was done, cursing colorfully.
Apparently, even the king of the united bird tribes wasn’t immune to the hangover of the century.
Reyson had come to check on Tibarn to find him unceremoniously retching into a bucket. It really was a sorry sight, but he was fully aware that he brought it on himself. Knowing his own limitations, Reyson himself had been far more tame while partaking in the nights festivities. The white prince approached as the hawk king settled himself against the floor.
“ I’m surprised you made it out of the bed. ” He half-heartedly jeered and moved to kneel, setting down the jug of water he carried to him. The heron soaked and wrung the rag before offering it to him. “ Here, you should wash yourself up. ”
