Angus: "You can say fuck." is whoo boy, is powerful. Does Angus-the-young-TA get shortened to Angus the Young, which sticks? Doddering, 90-year-old Angus the Young
angus just wants to be grown! he just wants people to acknowledge he’s big now! but also everyone keeps reminding him he’s Not. taako just “you can get as old as you want to and you’ll still always be younger than me, bubelah.”

How about dragon aging then?
How about Angus/ secretly the silver dragon, aging, growing, but very slowly? And he was with his grandpa for a very long time, learning, so he is brilliant and powerful but it was SUCH a long time and he just wants to be grown, finally!
So he is Angus the Young, teaching for 20-30 years and still looking like a teenager. Angus and his horde of knowledge, multiplied by being passed on - and his horde of grad students that carry the knowledge forward, and gather more, and lay it down in painfully but so proudly crafted thesises and in his personal library.
Angus the Young TA, the youngest PHD, the youngest professor. Taking a sabbatical sometime to be the wonderful detective he is.
And
and Taako does not notice for the longest time, the closest human - shaped person is Barry who does not age. Magnus is always taller than the kiddo. Lucretia is regal even with another twenty years on the top of those she lost in Wonderland, and it’s just normal that she seems old now, you know? And it’s not like they see each other very often, with the RIDUNKULOUS schedules, and the letters have pictures but that would require opening some of them, and cha’boy has trouble even with the minimal requirements here.
And maybe Taako is in denial, a bit, and does not want to add the years anyways, it’s MATH, and worrying about Ango with MATH is simply not Taako style, my sweet dudes.
You can get as old as you want, you’ll always be younger than me, bubbelah. Right?
So there is this delicate balance in place, and a peace of minds everywhere - well, a peace in Taako’s mind, so everywhere important. Absolutely nothing to worry about, peeps.
