Leaning back into the couch, Colton preoccupied himself with his drink, rotating the glass to watch the liquid swirl and not the girl he wanted to. However, when he caught sight of her legs in his peripherals, he couldn’t help but look up. The motion of his hand stilled as he watched her approach the bar alone. Don’t do it, Colton, he scolded himself internally. Sebastian may be back any moment and the escort lost his client, then his boss Phillip wouldn’t be pleased with him at all. That knowledge alone should have been enough to pin him to the leather seat, but he couldn’t help it; he felt as if he had no control of his limbs as he drained the whiskey dregs in his cup, rising from the cushion and beginning to walk away from where he was meant to be station. There was a hint of a tremor in his bones, but that might have been the thrill of adrenaline coursing through him as he approached Nadine, who seemed quite content and in her element alone at a bar — although he couldn’t imagine why. Was she not like all the other popstars, constantly surrounded by a posse who had drugs down their back pocket and iPhones ready to snap any incriminating photos? Apparently, this particular singer preferred arousing everyone in sight by making out with two people at once and then acting as if she didn’t own the room when she walked into it, demanding attention as she ventured solo. Wetting his lips, Colton’s masked his nerves easily as he stood beside her, leaning onto the bar and taking a look at the drink she’d just ordered. “I would have assumed you would go for a more extravagant type.”

"People presume too much based on what they see in the papers," Nadine commented back instantly as she lifted the glass to her lips, sipping at the drink. She wasn't quite paying attention to who she was saying this to, just that there was somebody critiquing her choice in alcoholic beverages, and that wasn't how the popstar liked to live. Critiques of her albums were fine, Nadine didn't care about that, but when it came to people judging how she lived her life because it wasn't how they wanted her to... Her personality had a tendency to flare in those moments. She tilted her head to glance at the man beside her, smile hinting in the corners of her lips once she realised who it was. The man had gained her attention quite a bit throughout her time at the bar, and the fact that he'd came over to try and approach her was something that Nadine knew she could take into consideration when she started talking to him. "But I'll take it into consideration when I order my next drink, whenever that may be." She set the glass back down on the bar, fingers staying curled around the drink as she focused her attention on the man. "You look familiar," she commented, leaning against the bar as she looked at him. "Almost as if I've met you before. Do you have a name, critiquing stranger?" The words came out easily as Nadine waited for an answer, knowing that whatever happened next would only occur based on the man's response to her question.

Walking from their apartment-like dormitory towards the lavish school for their first day wasn’t a new routine; it had happened many times before and would undoubtedly keep happening until they managed to graduate somewhere. From there, Colton wasn’t sure where the chaos would continue on to, but it would nonetheless. He was quiet and calculating as they walked, the hard set of his expression looking more like a smolder than a glare - expected, and it was a default that managed to draw people in at first glance - even as Nadine stopped their tracks, messing with his cigarettes and taking them from him, like some speechless sign to remind him she was in control. “Oui. I’ve been excited for Paris for a long time — I’m glad we’re finally here.” Quirking one eyebrow, Colton merely smirked in response, shaking his head somewhat as their hands interlocked and he held on tenderly. The smirk he had directed towards her segued into a smile and he reached out to take the cigarette. Pressing it between his lips to breathe in a sufficient amount of smoke, he held it there as he turned his head and looked around the city street, taking a step to reinstate their walk and blowing the smoke out as he mused. “Like every other extremely expensive place we’ve gone to. We get the runs broken with the occasional public school, and although this one is technically, I doubt it’ll be like the few in America we attended.” Still holding onto her hand, he took another drag from the cigarette, handing it back to her without hesitance after. With his empty hand, he pointed at the sign of the school, chuckling at the extravagance; as if the building didn’t already stand out, large and alone in the city street, refusing to be caged in by the buildings that littered the road. “Looks like an interesting place. I wonder what the people are like…”

A hint of a smile quirked at the corner of Nadine's lips as she glanced over at Colton, watching as her half-brother took the cigarette from her. "And I as well," she commented as she tightened her grip slightly on Colton's hand. It wasn't nerves that she was dealing with on the first day; those were things that she'd gotten rid of long ago. No, Nadine wasn't nervous, just possessive. She had made it a mission to make sure that the world knew Colton was hers even though they couldn't really flat out say it. They showed more than enough to prove that no one could even come close to tearing them apart, but Nadine sometimes found herself desiring the idea of forcing it in everybody's faces that Colton would never belong to anybody except for her. "It should be quite an interesting experience," she commented as she glanced towards the building that they were approaching. It would be nothing like the horrendous public school experiences, not that those were really all that bad in the end. The vague threat of public school was something that Nadine hadn't been alright with, but when it came down to it, she had rather enjoyed the freedom to blend into the crowd and stand out at the exact same time. "We always have the best ones, and it shouldn't be too hard to turn this place into our kingdom as we did with all the others." A smirk curled onto her lips as she glanced at the building again. The look of the school didn't interest her, not when there were more important things to be worrying about. Colton knew what she was interested in, and the added sentence from the boy was enough to make Nadine know that she didn't even have to remind him of her real interests in the school. "Same as they always are," she commented quickly. "With a few....exceptions." There were always those typical cliques in schools, but Nadine didn't care about any of those. She had her sights set on someone far more interesting. "We'll have to keep an eye out, find them on the first day and then let the games begin."

…Alright, have fun with them. You know I’ll help you with anything, but I think when it comes to Calum, having me will just weigh you down. You do exciting things out of class but I don’t, so I can’t imagine it’d be all that great. Although you could probably make me do anything. I… give up.

Colton had never encountered a person who wooed him on sight. He faked nearly every aspect of the romantic and sexual relationships he’d had, which had all be for his job thus far. Nobody had the power to crawl under his skin; they might have fucked his brains out, done something exceptional with their mouth, or bought him a plethora of lavish gifts that made him smile because he had them wrapped around his finger — but none had made his heart stutter or his cheeks warm just by being present. Nadine was… beyond gorgeous, that much his glances had affirmed. The tabloids hadn’t lied. All this time, Colton was sure they had been embellishing, talking up her image to give her more excellent press. Clearly, it wasn’t false. She was as charming as the words painted her to be, and that much was clear by the two people who were eagerly reacting to her touch. The twenty two year old felt hot under his collar, running his index finger along the inside of the crisp material as he pointedly stared away. Was she really going to instigate a threesome of sorts in full view of everyone in the bar? That was a daring move, but she either lived by the “any press is good press” or there was someone in the vicinity she wanted to unnerve and capture. Sebastian was still talking, but about what, Colton didn’t know. He had zoned out as soon as the girl with the bright red lips walked into the room. He only stared back when the athlete rose, announcing vulgarly that he was going to the toilet, and abruptly left. Half - more, if he was being honest with himself - of Colton’s mind hoped that Sebastian wouldn’t return. He shifted on the couch, moving to rest against the back with his glass in hand, trying so desperately to not let his eyes wander to the trio in an elevated booth.

Kissing was an easy distraction, one that Nadine knew how to do, and she knew that within seconds she'd hooked both of her companions for the night, but she really wasn't all that interested in either of them. They were certainly attractive, fine specimens that she would be willing to sleep with were she completely bored, but she had other interests in the bar. As she pulled back from the kiss, eyelashes fluttering a bit as she looked up at the man through them, she pulled off her easiest smile and mentioned something about needing a proper drink. Despite the man's offer to get it for her, she shook her head. "Thank you, love, but I've got it." She slipped out of the booth, only pausing to press a quick kiss to the girl's cheek once she protested that she'd come along, make a quick stop at the bathroom once they were down there. The pair were needy, eager to please, and while that was normally welcome with her, Nadine wasn't interested in that tonight. She made her way away from the booth, eyes flicking towards the now-alone man who had initially caught her interest before she made her way past him, smile pressing just slightly at the corners of her lips as she approached the bar. She had a strategy that she knew would be foolproof if she wanted to end up attracting that man's attention, and she did, because he seemed like he was just as bored as her, and that was something Nadine knew she could work with. She leaned over the bar, offering the bartender a friendly smile as she requested a simple drink, one she knew she'd enjoy instead of something she just ordered for show, and waited to see if she'd managed to lure in the man as she'd intended.

New schools, the chance for an entirely fresh round of destruction. Nadine knew that she'd been waiting for this, to end up in Paris with Colton for a fresh start and a chance to take down yet another education system with her half-brother beside her. "New school, same old bullshit," she commented as she stopped in front of Colton, smirking a little bit as she reached into Colton's pockets, stealing the pack of cigarettes that she knew he had stashed away away from him. "Ready to conquer the world, mon frère?" She pulled a cigarette from the pack and easily perched it between her lips, flicking the lighter open so she could light the cigarette and suck in the smoke once it was lit. It only took Nadine a second to wiggle the pack of cigarettes in front of Colton before she slipped them into her purse, effectively hiding them from him so she could force him to share the cigarette with her, not that that was anything new. Once her hand was free, she immediately linked her fingers with the boy's, a soft smile curling onto her lips as she sucked in the smoke. "What do you think this place is going to be like?" she commented softly as she took a moment to fumble with her skirt, brushing a piece of thread off of the boring uniform before she offered the cigarette over to Colton.

Right, right, totally with it now. Big bro doesn’t do much besides sleep and work in the garage… and make the hallway smell like weed when our parents go away for the weekend every now and again. He won’t come — no idea why I even suggested it in the first place. Alright, captain. … Uh. I don’t know. Keeping his composure to the best of his ability, Colton swallowed the liquid thickly and placed his glass down. He then laced his fingers together to calm the shaking his limbs had started. As much as he tried, he couldn’t keep his eyes from trailing after he, watching her and her companions slide into a booth. They were enthralled by her - as anyone with half a mind would be - and Colton couldn’t help but think he was, too. The reverie wasn’t completely shattered but a voice by his ear caught his attention and he forced his gaze away; in time, too, as her sharp cerulean orbs flickered to meet his moments before. “Didn’t think you’d see popstar royalty tonight, eh, Ryder?” Sebastian spoke from his side, and Colton glanced over, a weak smile on his lips. “No, I certainly did not. Do you know her?” Instead of leaving a conversation open-ended, he was always sure to ask questions, always eager to deflect the spotlight from him and towards his client. They all loved talking about themselves, so why not give them the chance? But there was nothing about Sebastian’s speech that had caught his attention earlier in the night and there was no hope for him now with Nadine, deemed the queen of the modern music industry, sitting meters away in her own booth. Facing forward, Colton appeared subtle as he could as he turned his head somewhat in her direction, absently scratching his chin as his gaze darted to his peripherals in another glance to her.

There had been no expectations with the conversation that was arising from her companions, and Nadine knew that she wasn't going to find an interesting situation settled between these two. The girl seemed to be prattling on about the latest fashions in the last country she'd been to, one that Nadine hadn't cared enough to catch the name of, and it was boring. The level of intellect that she seemed to attract was always interesting for certain subjects, but it stopped far before Nadine actually had the chance to become interested in the people she was with. She turned her attention to the man for a moment as he interjected something about the stock trade, and she had to bite back a comment of how typical it was that he had to add that in when it didn't belong in the conversation in the slightest. Still, she kept the smile that she'd practiced more than enough over the years on her face as she listened to them, nodding when it seemed appropriate. Her gaze trailed over to the other table, her smile growing just slightly when she was rather certain that she had the man's attention, and only then did she turn back to the girl, leaning in and kissing her mid-conversation as she lifted her hand to cup the girl's cheek, the imprint of her bright red lipstick outlining her lips once she pulled away. There was only a second of pause before she turned to the man on her other side and did the same, hand still trailing over the girl's skin as she kissed him with ease because she could.

Sussing out a potential client meant Colton had to be on his best behaviour, but even he was beginning to feel the tightness of his smile and was growing bored with attempting to appear interested in Sebastian. His tanned digits fidgeted with the cuff links of his suit, dark eyes boring into the broad and tall man sitting next to him. His expression was a blank mask, feigned interest hinting at the edges of his eyes and the slight quirk of his thin lips, but the footballer was far too enamored in his own story to tell that the escort he was meant to be enthralling was bored out of his mind. Sebastian didn’t care - none of them ever did - and he continued on with his loud spoken, egotistical rant of a game he claims to have won on his own. It’s not like you play a team sport, mate, Colton thought. Flickering his orbs away, he glanced down at the drink that had been bought for him, stifling a sigh as he reached for it and wrapped his slender fingers around the frame. When the glass hit his lips, he lifted his gaze to stare ahead, and if he didn’t possess the amount of control he did, the English boy would have choked on the amber liquid spilling down his throat at the person who had just walked into high end bar.

The bar wasn't initially Nadine's choice for the evening, but at the same time she found herself interested in a proper night out where she could escape the hustle of fans following her around wherever she went. She knew that the bar was discrete, and that was exactly what she'd been looking for as she stepped inside, glancing back towards the pair of people following behind her as a soft smile curled onto her lips. She was always interested in finding her way through a place that she'd only been to once or twice before. It didn't take long for her to be led towards the VIP section and she reached back to take the girl's hand, lightly tugging her along as she glanced towards the man she was with. She didn't remember their names, didn't really care about them, not when she was going to have fun tonight regardless of if she knew whether their names started with an M or an R in the morning. As they were led towards the booth reserved for her, she glanced towards the others in the VIP section, eyes landing on the two men sitting together at a booth. She glanced at the dark-haired man for a moment before she turned her gaze back towards the booth, composure calm as she slid down into the booth, the girl sliding in next to her as the man took place at her other side. Nadine didn't comment as the man draped his arm around her, instead turning to focus on brief conversation with the girl, only breaking from it for a moment to glance back over at the man again.
