Types of Indian Passports

Police Verification ProcessÂ

Ministry of External Affairs, states that you will get your passport delivered in 30 days. It will be done once you submit your documents at PSK and receive a clear card in your police verification. The postman will deliver your passport at your given address.
If you lose your passport…
If an Indian citizen loses his or her passport while traveling in a foreign country, the Indian embassy in that country is responsible for granting an Emergency Certificate. So, this will help the person to travel back to India. This emergency passport is also called as temporary passport!

5.) Semi-literate or literate applicants: Affidavit is sworn before a notary stating the place and date of birth (Annexure 'A')
6.) Photocopy of the first and last pages of the old passport (ECR/Non-ECR page), if available (optional)

1.) Declaration of Parent/Guardian for Minor Passports (one parent not given consent) – This is needed when the parent has not given permission for the applicant who is below 18.
2.) Declaration of Parent/Guardian for Minor Passports – When both parents have given permission and the applicant is below 18 years.
3.) Standard Affidavit – General affidavit for applying for a passport.
4.) Specimen Affidavit for a passport in lieu of lost/damaged passport – If you are re-issuing your passport because you have lost or damaged it then this form is required
5.) No Objection Certificate – NOC from educational institute/office.
6.) Prior Intimation Letter – If you are a government officer then certificate is required
7.) A Declaration stating the particulars furnished in the application about the minor – If the applicant was born through surrogacy and is below 18 years. Â
