Due to the inactivity of the ring, and the lack of motivation from some muns, weâre going to put the whole ring on hiatus. This is so I will be able to try and remake the ring, and try and make it more fun so people will be more motivated to stay active. I apologize for the lack of participation, on my part especially (Charlie). I hope you will stay with us through the hiatus, and wait to see what the future will have for the ring.

Albeit has the tendency to be rather dense in some situation, that does not mean that he is a blithering idiot. He has the ability to be rather observant, tactical and more often than not, whenever he isnât speaking, heâs most likely analyzing and going through theories of the world within his own mind. Thereâs a lot that goes through his head, and perhaps this is one of the reasons he tends to appear more of a daydreamer than anything else - his focuses are often elsewhere when he isnât made busy.
The Spanish Civil War is one of the wars that happens to weigh heavy damage upon his heart. This, along with all else during the reign of the Spanish Empire, causes him to have some nights filled with restless slumbers. More often than not, he tends to have vivid, grotesque dreams that replay nothing but the suffering and pain heâd seen and experienced during his time. His many regrets, they all tend to resurface within his mind during his time of hopeful tranquillity.
Considering he made a hell of a lot of paper roses for the sake of gaining income within the country, he is rather skillful with his hands. This takes place way before, much when he was younger. As to who he had learned paper craft from remains a mystery however not a day goes by where he does find his hands messing with some kind of paper, creating the simplest to the most complex things with them. Aside from paper craft, heâs rather crafty with other things such as shells, wood, fabrics and the such. Heâs a very hands-on person.
Fencing is a sport he enjoys partaking in. Usually he enjoys the more wilder kind of sword fights however he finds fencing to be a rather relaxing and leisurely kind of sport. Along with this, he also finds archery to be quite a relaxing activity, and is rather skilful in it.
Throughout the years, heâs made a bit of a habit to make note of the little things that take place within his day, in a journal-like log book. Whether it be that a new nest had been made for a nearby tree, or heâd witnessed a young child losing their balloon - heâd make note of it. The reason for this is because history often accounts for the bigger events that happen in life however the small things are often left forgotten. And those things are the things he wishes to never forget. The small things that make life worth living, the little moments in life that we often take for-granted.

Thereâs too much history, emotion and the such that comes with the house and itâs one he canât find himself getting rid of so easily. The large garden he once had has been reduced in size. Headcanons:
Name is a shortened version of NichiyĆbi (æ„ææ„), meaning 'Sundayâ. She had chosen this as the name sheâd be called by only after Japan had experience itâs 200 years of isolation. Upon 'reopeningâ, and having to deal with business matters with those from other countries, she had decided that the name 'Sundayâ would be the most fitting. As itâs the beginning of each and every week - a perfect and relaxing day. Had it not been for the need of 'humanâ names, there was a possibility sheâd continue to be referred to as the shadow of Japan.
Cis-Female; Demiromantic Asexual. The topic of sex and the such doesnât bother her. If itâs ever brought up in conversation in the sense of a proper topic, rather than that of acting like a child, then sheâll engage in the conversation however the thought of being in a relationship with the inclusion of sexual activity causes her to become immensely uncomfortable.
Once upon a time, her hair was extremely long. Never did she see the point of cutting it aside from trimming here and there to avoid split ends and the such. Whether it was put up in a bun or draped over the entirety of her back - it always appeared so beautifully soft, almost silk-like in texture. It wasnât until her involvement within World War II that she had cut it short with her own blade. Since then, she hasnât grown her hair past her shoulders, if it even allows it to get to that point.
In terms of languages she speaks, sheâs a lot more knowledgeable of languages found in neighboring Asian countries than her counterpart, as she believes. Sheâs fluent in Japanese and has become rather fluent in English due to foreign exchanges and dealings, but other languages she speaks semi-fluently are Chinese (Mandarin) and Vietnamese. Writing in the two latter languages? Sheâs rubbish. Mandarin is moderately fine however sheâll express that sheâd much prefer writing in English if writing in her native language is not a valid option.
The Koto - a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument that originated from the Chinese zheng - is one of the few instruments she knows how to play. Sheâs rather skilled in it and many have said her fingers move almost like that of lightning. She seems to have quite a fond for string instruments and would much rather play the koto than sit on a piano stool and stroke the keys.
Within her household, she owns a Japanese Bobtail cat named 'Hikariâ, a Shibu Inu named 'Soraâ and an orange hamster that sheâs dubbed with the name of 'Hamtaroâ only because she had found herself completely fond of the manga and storybook character by Ritsuko Kawai. She owns all the dvds, illustrations, games and the such. Sheâs /really/ into Hamtaro.
Much into that of gaming (RPGâs, turn based, action, etc), but tends to stick to the casual side of gaming as her life gets rather hectic. Though whenever she does find herself with quite the amount of time on her hands, sheâll invest herself into some of her favorite games. What captivates her the most within the games is that of the music, rather than the graphics or storyline itself.

Nichiyo stands at 5'1", unless she is made to wear heels for corporate meetings and the such in which sheâll be given an extra inch or two. Most of the time, however, she tends to stick to flats as she fears losing balance and tripping whilst using heels. Of course, itâd be wise not to judge her based on her height; albeit she may look innocent and sweet, the ferocity and strength dwelling deep within her is not one to be messed with. Her eyes are that of the color brown though tends to appear golden-like whenever kissed by the suns rays. Her hair is brunet though tends to appear black unless light is shining over it - that is truly the only time one can see her true natural hair color; it never runs past her shoulders or much rather, her jawline. She tends to keep it short for many reasons, but primarily due to upkeep. Complexion wise, sheâs quite fair and her skin is porcelain-like with how smooth it appears. Under her right eye, she has a beauty spot that she tends to forget even exists.
How your character might differ from the 'fanon version/counterpartâ:
Sheâs much more confident in things and is willing to take risks in comparison to her counterpart. Albeit she appears quiet and serene - like Japan - sheâs actually quite the opposite once she gets going. Sheâs willing to speak her mind and become assertive when need be, and would not care if something is out of her comfort zone. If itâs something she knows is wrong/indecent and has something to say about it, regardless of the judgemental eyes that may stare at her, sheâll speak her mind and get her point across. There are times where she may appear a bit vulgar, in terms of her wording.
Sheâs gentle (but not as gentle as she may appear), nurturing as well but her anger could make the mountains bow down, cowering in fear. She may, at times, seem more rebellious in terms of her actions and words but at the end of the day, she speaks in a way that will most benefit her and her nation. She tends to be seen as the 'shadowâ of Japan - like the backbone.
Relationships for Character:
Japan: Counterpart; she sees him more as a brother. Whether itâs that of an older or younger sibling kind of view would depend on the context. War related matters, she always viewed Japan to be that of a younger brother. One who still had much to learn and needed to control his greed whilst before the participation in WWII, she viewed him as an older brother than needed to see the world some more. It really all depends on the context.
Axis (Germany/Italy + Nyo!Axis): Unlike Japan, she wasnât necessarily close with Germany and Italy, though did seem to share some kind of bond with their nyotalia counterparts. S'pose itâs similar to that of Japanâs friendship with Germany and Italy, except less evident culture shocks within her features. Sheâs a lot more calm with all these oddities.
Asian Nations: Views them all as part of her family, than anything else. If not that, then close friends and neighbours. She tends to view China as an old teacher of hers; views Taiwan and South Korea as 'younger siblingsâ who need to sit and calm down for a moment. Hong Kong, she views as a younger sibling, etc.
Philippines: Her relationship with the Philippines is a little odd, seeing as they have history between them however she tends to communicate with Philippines far better than her brother.
Spain: Obligatory relationship here seeing as Iâm the mun of the two stupid male Spaniards. Sheâs relatively fine with Spain, and the two have celebrated their neighboring birthdays together. In terms of 2P!Spain, she keeps her distance from him. Iâll look up on their history further, but for now, just going to leave it as this.
Clearly Iâm lazy to go through a bunch of relationships seeing as this is Nyo!Japan instead of Japan. So, the relationships in canon for Japan wonât particularly work well for her, as she has different views and morals that may clash with those Japan is good friends with, etc.

Physical Appearance: She has a brown complexion. With the average height of a Filipino woman being 150.2 cm (4 ft 11 in), she is just as small, maybe just an inch shorter at 4 ft 10 in. Her build is petite and athletic because, believe it or not, she is a fan of and likes playing volleyball and is pretty good at it.
Her hair is thick and of the color blackish-brown and once upon a time in the 2000s when she dreamed of starring in a hair commercial, it was waist-length and straight although as of 2010, her hair has become a bit wavy at the ends and now only reaches a bit above her chest. Her last statement before chopping off her locks is that sheâs too hot with it. Lately, she also wears her hair in a bun more often than not because the country is god-awful hot all day every day. There are three sampaguita hairclips thatâs pinned on her bun or on her bangs representing the three major islands of her country (namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao respectively).
Her fashion sense composes of long skirts and nice blouses although sheâs been into sundresses and floral shorts and loose t-shirts and all cute outfits lately. Sheâs more of a simple girl and doesnât wear make-up unless necessary; some lipstick, powder, and eyeliner are enough for her!
Personality:
She is generally described as sweet and cheerful by the people who first meet her. After all, she greets everyone she meets with politeness and smiles.
But behind the mature and cheerful aura she radiates in public lies an exhausted demeanor and a very bitter lady. She can hold a grudge and not let it go even after the issue that caused the said grudge has been cleared up. In the recent years, she has been trying to get back her old positive vibe from years ago, which has taken a downwards plunge with the economy.
She is also the type of person who would never ever let you leave her house without at least eating something.
Pride is one of her biggest weaknesses; it would take a lot of effort before she would actually admit that yes, she needs help and although she appreciates whatever help is given to her, she wants to do something to return the favor.
After years of being under different rulers (and mostly terrible ones, nonetheless), Celia has developed some sort of inferiority complex and isnât really confident of herself although lately, sheâs been spotted trying to boost her confidence (after all, she looks up to the 2015 Ms. Universe now) by trying to interact more often.

She is a hopeless romantic and owns a large collection of poetry and prose (in Old Filipino, Spanish, Modern Filipino, and English) on love she had collected over the years.
She is an active Social Media user and interacts frequently with her citizens but mostly only as an âordinary girl from Manila with big dreamsâ and not as the personification of the country.
She is currently undergoing a really bad identity crisis.
She holds in her feelings more often than not and itâs getting extremely unhealthy.
Celia loves the supernatural. In fact, she is best friends with the local White Lady because before the said ghost became a ghost, she was already a close friend before she died in the 1900s.
Relationships for Character:
Spain â Grandpa. Compared to how everything was from the 1500s to 1898, the countriesâ relations has been better, both on a national and personal scale (sheâs still a bit salty about it but not as bad as it was before). She was under his rule during the rockiest 333 years of her life before she did the thing and finally declared independence untilâŠ
America â âŠhe waltzed right in and thought itâd be a good idea to colonize her after buying her (and three other former Spanish colonies) although in his defense, he said it was because he was just ordered to do it so maybe thatâs why she didnât unleash the dragon but it still doesnât mean she was beyond hurt by the betrayal. In present times though, they have a typical brother-sister relationship on a personal scale, mostly because they get along and yet they also get into petty disagreements once in a while.
Japan â Long time trading partner and friend even before your own grandfather was born but then World War II happened and things got very much strained between the two although nowadays they seem to be good friends.
South Korea â Theyâre like the new BFFs in the last few years. Sheâs also very fond of his music and drama. When things arenât busy, they watch K-drama together.

Your character comes in and raids someoneâs fridge.
This felt so wrong but itâs not like she had a choice. She needs the final ingredient for the dish sheâs about to cook or else it wonât ever taste right.
Itâs not as if theyâll notice some food is missing (and who the heck eats pickled papaya aside from her anyway) besides, Celia is sure sheâll just rearrange it properly so it really wouldnât be obvious that she went and stole that jar of, you guessed it, pickled papaya.
Taking a deep breath, she gingerly moved the contents of the fridge and after a few minutes of digging, she found her goal. Now the only thing she has to do is fix the fridge up and leave quietly.
Except she couldnât anymore
Because someone (the owner of the fridge ay shit punyeta) just cleared their throat and the Filipino took a very deep breath and turned her head, sweating in spite of the chill coming from the fridge.
