why not? she acts like the gen chat channel is her own personal soapbox. very much main character energy. // who cares? and you treat this blog like your own personal diary when someone annoys you. id rather deal with a talker then a bully hiding behind an anonymous name. god forbid someone just wants to socialize, is bored, or lonely. the terror! trying to make someone feel bad because they’re talking too much for your liking is a crazy low. do you have so little joy in your life that this kind of shit makes you feel better? what’s the purpose here outside of just hoping to hurt someone’s feelings? block and ignore. so many ways to handle others that annoy you over trying to make them feel bad and hope they change for you. trust me for every person that gets annoyed there’s another enjoying this “annoying” person. you don’t get to dictate people to try to change for your personal likes.

The victim mentality of the rpc man. People pull bullshit and backstab others. Then when blocked, called out, or held accountable, now everyone is "picking on them," "Hating on them," or my favorite, "Attacking them," because they, "Didn't do anything wrong." Then spin the narrative to keep themselves victims. Or regularly try to clap back on here. It's always been bad, but it's gotten fucking in the last 15 years

I don't get why sites advertise for new members when all they do is ignore all the new people who join // do you join want ads? do you post reacts? do you reach out members to plot? when they reach out to you, do you give anything of substance in return? do you start threads for people? everyone wants to say that sites are ignoring them when 9 times out of 10, they dont even attempt to integrate themselves into the site. it is not only up to the established members and admins to include you. // i hate when people post shit like this. yeah, sure, there are some people who are megabad at plotting with new people, but the vast majority of people in the jcink rpc have written with others before and know what it's supposed to feel like when there's a real 2 way street. there aren't a lot of brand new people in this niche space anymore. you're not actually doing anything by lecturing them on putting even more effort into trying to integrate themselves when they're already feeling like breaking in is staring at a brick wall.

the real truth is that a lot of established sites have their characters fully plotted up. they have established friend groups, ships, and dynamics all already fleshed out. and a lot of those people will treat new people as if they have to fit into the few gaps left in between. and if you're not interested in filling those gaps, they have no time for you. those are sites that shouldn't be driving for new members, they should be working on retaining the ones they have. if you aren't willing to be as fresh with new members as they are, you shouldn't be trying to get new members.

I’m terrified to even exist on blue hour because of all the hate that goes to the members that are seen too much. Kudos to everyone willing to exist so openly and take the hate because I don’t have it in me. Just know many of us aren’t annoyed by any of you and appreciate you all but are scared to exist on bh in fear we will be next for simply existing. The nicest people I’ve talked to on bh are the very ones being constantly hurt here.

what are you wanting from a site? do you want one with 8 pages of activity, a server that is never quiet, and tons of members? or, can you settle for something quieter and smaller? if you are not getting your desired outcome, perhaps it is time to change your expectations. \\ You jumped right to "YOUR FAULT!!!! you just want a big site!!!". i -hate- gigantic boring RL sites with nothing but comms and vibes and paper-thin characters. i only rp on genre sites and particular fandoms.

I bought a skin from Bodhi and it’s so bugged? I tried reaching out and it’s been two weeks, no response. // your first problem was going through bodhi. your second problem was expecting something good from him. or for him to make it right. // your third problem would be accepting any help from aesopcodes. don’t trust them. all they do is rip off design elements from other coders badly and hide behind the ‘it was on codepen so basically it was a free for all’ excuse. at least bodhi grew out of that bad habit.

i really dont understand why people join sites, create characters, get plots happening, but then never post or ghost. can anyone explain? i am genuinely curious why it happens so often, especially the ghosting/ignoring of messages from players about want ads, from admin, etc...i dont understand it.

I get creepy ass vibes from BH with everything I hear about them and their members // sites so big there's far too many lurkers on the site that have nothing better to do then stalk members and come here to be mean while not even writing on the site because it's an endless no activity requirement. i'm sure there are people on this site that don't write and only watch what others are doing.

what does "catfishing" entail in the rpc? i know what it means when you're in the dating world, but this is just people writing together? it's not that deep? anyway, i've seen that term tossed around a bit lately and was curious. thanks! // catfishing in the rpc is the same concept. people come on here and pretend to be someone entirely different (often changing age, gender, nationality, etc) to deceive others. i have seen it happen a few times with cis men pretending to be women or nb to get close to people, and its later exposed that they were cis men. i have also seen people change key aspects of their identity to deceive people they hurt and get close to them. it may not seem deep, but some people do make genuine friendships here and share their lives with people they meet. it can seen like a betrayal to discover that, that person is not who you thought they were or that they were someone who harmed you in the past.
