Ok, here's my theory: White Pearl use to belong to Pink but when Pink tried to let her decide her own decisions and not to do whatever Pink wanted it messed with her head (therefore "breaking her" and messing with her personality) so White replaced her Pearl (our Pearl) with Pink's broken Pearl, like a child's toy! I also think this was foreshadowed with the episode where Steven and Connie both go into his mother's room.

I’ve been seeing a lot of theories about how white pearl used to be pink’s. I’ve always thought that our Pearl was White’s, so I’m definitely leaning towards this theory too
