Haytham turned his head, his eyes watchful just after he saw Shay glance to his cup. He just realized how time went by him. Oh. Brows raised at the question, he cleared his throat and gave a nod.Â
âYes, quite all right, Captain.âÂ
Shay smacked his lips together as if finding for the words to say. There really was not much to talk about with the Grandmaster beyond the workings of the Templar Order. The older man was aloof and Shay had other matters to deal with from simple missions to handling the Templar Naval Fleet. So, they simply co-existed. âGood to hear then.â His eyes went back to the tea. âWould you like me to replace that?â He continued, pointing to Haythamâs untouched cup of tea. âI have a batch brewinâ up. I gather that you might prefer a warm cup.â
âThank you, yes,â he replied to Shay as he reached for his cup.Â
When Haytham looked back at the other once more, there he saw a thoughtful look on Shay. His brows quirk in curiosity. âWell then.â Turning in his seat, the Grandmaster waved his hand and carried the cup with him. âAllow me. Air might do me good.âÂ

There he finds Haytham sitting by his desk and neatly folding a worn out letter. His table empty and without his usual opened journal, pen and ink. His tea cup untouched, now cold.
âWhat can I do for you, Captain?â
Shay blinked the moment Haytham spoke. It was an expected surprise, if one could put it that way, the Grandmaster always did have quite the senses for noticing curious Irishmen that looked into his room. Still, it was impressive. âOh.â His eyes turned its attention from Haytham to the cup of tea that appeared to have gone cold. Was something on his mind? âJust checking if youâre alright.â He turned his attention back to his superior.Â

excuse you, @canis-venaticus
Shay peeks into the room, trying to see if the Grandmaster is doing anything. He squints.
